That's the best version of a 10/10 thread I've ever seen

(Although those threads do always have good titles)

BabyBolat · 26/03/2009 10:48

Morning springy - is it wrong that your post made me want to watch the bodyguard (which I only have on VHS and no VHS player!!!)

[[http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00jj4zj/The_Apprentice_Series_5_Episode_1/ here}} no challenge needed, sit back and enjoy!!! Next week they are at my client - I was on holiday in Turkey at the time but had I been there I would have been on the dodgy sandwich episode!!!

Nutty I would spoil her rotten today have a picnic on the carpet (if you can get down there), play dress up and just let her have a fabulous day!!

Yay, I found The Apprentice on iPlayer! I can never find what I want that easily. Right, now to get a huge bowl of cereal & watch it whilst DH is out & can't moan about them all being awful people.

Which, of course, they mostly will be, but that's the point! That & my slightly unhealthy love of Nick & Margaret Gosh, they'd better be in it! S'ralan had better not have axed them!

SpringySunshine · 26/03/2009 10:52

BB, thanks - it was shockingly easy to find, wasn't it?

& damn you & your Turkish holiday! That would've made me so happy, to see you on a 'dodgy sandwich episode' of The Apprentice

& I'm not quite sure why I made you want to watch The Bodyguard? (Which, incidentally, is the first '15' rated film I ever watched - some very interesting trivia for you there!)

SpringySunshine · 26/03/2009 10:56

I just headbutted the floor. I'm scared to look in the mirror in case I have a friction burn - how do I explain that to anyone who's not been sent mad with the indignities of pregnancy?

Juwesm · 26/03/2009 10:56

Wahey! Carpet picnics again!

BabyBolat · 26/03/2009 10:57

"I have nothing" - that song is now whirling around my head at record speed!!!

I know, my boss is there tho and my glam client who always makes me feel like a heffer - especially at 8.5 months pregnant when I saw her last!! Shame she is a nice person or I would have to kill her!!! I am actually glad I wasn't there because apparently they were awful and I was going through a very very dodgy morning sickness stage so would have completely given the game away!!) and I would have looked AWFUL!!!

They are particularly awful I think - the final 3 in the boardroom ALL should have been fired - I can't believe these people actually function in a business???!!!

oooh cereal - rice crispies here I come!!

So no signs at all this morning?

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 26/03/2009 10:57

How did you head but the floor - what were you doing???

OP posts:
SpringySunshine · 26/03/2009 10:59

Ah, I see! The song! I thought you'd lost it for a second

& I look forward to a good gossip about the people you know after I've seen the episode, then

& no! No signs! No contractions, no show, no anything. I'm praying that it's the calm before the storm, but somehow I don't think it works like that

SpringySunshine · 26/03/2009 11:01

DH left an empty Creme Egg box on the floor & I accidentally kicked it under the sofa when I tried to stand up. So I tried to lean over to reach it, but with a combination of my bump & my general stupidity, I just went flying head-first into the floor. I managed to kind of flip over my own tummy

& let's not forget how the Creme Egg box was empty as well. It may have been worth it if it hadn't been!

Cosmogirl · 26/03/2009 11:08

Thanks for the welcome ladies

Definitely happy to wait patiently behind you in line BB - but as soon as that due date slips past I will become a gibbering wreck I'm sure!

I missed the Apprentice last night too but Sky+ed, so will prob watch it later today. Currently stuck on the music channels as it is all my brain can cope with at the moment. I have the concentration span of a gnat...

I should prob go for a walk or something to encourage this baby to come out but somehow the sofa and my Sainsbury's chocolate muffin seem oh so much more appealing. I have tried a few of the 'induction methods' (spicy food, sex (uncomfortable!), breast pumping, birth ball). None of it has worked so I think I am giving up. I really am starting to think the baby comes when it wants to and nothing we do will change it...

bronze · 26/03/2009 11:12

I'm trying to avoid creme eggs as they use battery eggs but I have to admit its one of the hardest things I've done. Its not the chocolate I love but the filling

PuzzleRocks · 26/03/2009 11:12

What on earth is a 10/10 thread?

Well, the midwife has just left. My house has passed muster so all set for a home delivery, yippee!!!!!!
Even better, the baby is deeply engaged and in a great position and my blood pressure is the lowest it has been since I got pregnant. (Must be the cheeky Grolsch I had last night) Better still, she even thinks I may be a bit early. Hooray.
And my HIP grant form has been signed.
Supper is already prepared, DD is being a poppet, I have a spotless house, and ferrero rocher in the cupboard. I am one happy fatty this morning.

Juwesm · 26/03/2009 11:15

Good news Puzzle - that all sounds fabulous!

10/10 threads are support threads for people trying to do 10 portions fruit and veg daily!

I now have a picture of huge battery farm full of badly treated chocolate chickens being forced to lay creme eggs 24 hours a day.

Wonder if I should have a go with the breast pump?

bronze · 26/03/2009 11:15

yay for puzzle

cosmo - I dont know how you can watch it anyway. my blood pressure raises just at the thought of how dim those people are. It amazes me that they're supposed to be the best in their fields yet none of them have any bloody common sense

BabyBolat · 26/03/2009 11:20

Ah puzzle you are not due until the 3 weeks after me - I am telling you if you pop early and beat me I am ripping this thing out in protest - am tempted to sit in my appointment next monday and just cry until they agree to make it come!!!

I don't actually like creme eggs all that much - don't get me wrong - I'll eat them but they make me feel a bit yucky afterwards! - the little mini ones are best!

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 26/03/2009 11:21

Congrats for the house passing - my nesting instinct has gone - the bed is not made and breakfast dishes in the kitchen - and they can bloody well stay there (trust it to disappear the day my mum comes to visit!)

OP posts:
Kalikaroo · 26/03/2009 11:21

Morning all! Puzzle - that's great news!

Hi Cosmo - I think we 'met' a while ago on the springmums thread. Hmmmm....chocolate muffin!

Aaarrggghhh - you can't buy Creme eggs here!!!!!! I WANT A CREME EGG!!!!!!!

No more show this morning - I think it was just a one-off .

Baby has moved overnight into a really awkward position. I think its back is directly down the middle with its legs towards my back. Bit uncomfortable and haven't felt many movements this morning. Hope everything's ok.

Juwesm · 26/03/2009 11:22

My new love. Isn't he rugged?

Please don't laugh at my people

PuzzleRocks · 26/03/2009 11:26

My girlfriend workaed for Amstrad when she was fresh out of Uni. It was her third day in the office and she was taking a call when a bloke behind her was being rather noisy with some of her colleagues and she couldn't hear her client very well. Being the gobby feisty Essex lass she is, she swung round on her chair and snarled at said man to please shut the fuck up as this was a really important call. The short, penfold like man apologised and introduced himself as Alan Sugar, and asked would she like to pop down to his office shortly for a proper introduction.
Far from being fired he told her he liked her spirit. But of course, to never ever speak to him like that again if she valued her job.

BabyBolat · 26/03/2009 11:27

LOL Ju

Kali, my LO is very quiet too and when he or she does move it feels really awkward

OP posts:
Kalikaroo · 26/03/2009 11:33

BB - this baby's been quite quiet through the whole pregnancy, but the last couple of days it's been VERY quiet. I saw the MW yesterday and everything was fine, though it had moved from its back being on the left to being over on the right. It's a weird situation because I'm worried, but not so much that I would go to the hospital because this baby's always been a bit like that (I would have been at the hospital about every 2 days otherwise! ). It's hard to know what to do.

PuzzleRocks · 26/03/2009 11:37

Springy - Poor head.

Cosmo - I'm with you on the concentration span.

Do you really need 10 portions of fruit and vegetables a day? Surely that would give you very loose stools, no?

Bronze - That's just it. If they were the best in their field they would already be happily ensconced in well paid and satisfying jobs. They are fodder, like Big Brother contestants, but with greater self importance. Occasionally there is a good egg though. I thought Tim who won a few series back was great.
You would have loved last night, the first one kicked off was the most gormless contestant of all the series so far. And yet her parting shot was that she believes Sir Alan may look back in 10 years and regret his decision. 10 years love? He won't remember her in 10 days, except perhaps to belly laugh at the imbecile.

BabyBolat · 26/03/2009 11:41

Oh puzzle that is so something I would do but then I would end up being fired!! I am forever forgetting my boss is actually my boss and making really inappropriate comments about him getting over himself!!

I was like that all last week Kali, and a bit today but I am having some movement - they are just more lethargic than normal for this LO - The hospital said to me to call any time I was worried as it take no time at all to hook up to a machine and get checked - so see how you feel, last week I gave myself time checks, so if I hadn't felt anything by 5pm for example, I would call up the mw and see what they said..
