BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 16:13

not particularly I don't think!! he will probably just carry the baby without anything!

SpringySunshine · 22/03/2009 16:18

BB, how do you manage to only do 2? How big's your washing machine? I do loads. Not 20, obviously, as I don't have children sicking & pooping everywhere. But maybe 6 or 7 a week? Less when I'm not trying to get baby things ready, but even so... I think our washing machine is quite small, though - I can fit 3 loads into the tumble dryer. I suppose that could explain it.

& yes, I'm sure that would draw attention

bronze · 22/03/2009 16:21

mines a 7 kg one and I'm jealous of aforementioned friend as her new one is 8kg. I can't quite get our big duvet in mine though luckily can easily get singles in.

I normally do 2 loads a day but its only been bedding this week as people seem to be naked a lot of the time at the moment.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 22/03/2009 16:21

hahahahahah at nappy boy!!!

Bronze - i only have 7kg such a pain not being able to do double duvets!!!

BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 16:26

I have a fairly big washing machine but nothing extra-ordinary! I would say normal size - we normally do one load of clothes and towels etc a week and then every second week do the bedding (we change it every week but do both sets in one load)

SpringySunshine · 22/03/2009 16:27

Mine's 5kg - by the time I've dragged the non-tumble dry items out, I can fit 2 - 3 loads into the tumble dryer, which is much bigger. It means that if I'm intending to tumble dry things, I have to do all of my laundry in one go - which is good, because it's the only motivation I can usually find

BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 16:28

My washing machine is only 6kg??!

bronze · 22/03/2009 16:29

do we have washing machine envy?

mines 9 years old too

SpringySunshine · 22/03/2009 16:29

I know - I just looked mine up, because I didn't know how small it was (just that it was small!) & I feel humiliated by the other washing machines. I feel like less of a woman & now have washing machine envy

bronze · 22/03/2009 16:31

just been looking through my old pics and there some seriously cue ones like this

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 22/03/2009 16:32

Bronze - i'm definately of the 8kg, cant request a new one though as ours is only a year old

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 16:34

I am happy with my 6kg one - give me a month when I am up to my ears in nappies and wee covered duvets and I will soon be envious of your big machines

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 22/03/2009 16:35

cant log on bronze

Springy - lol

BB - you will be doing alot more washing than that in the future

SpringySunshine · 22/03/2009 16:36

Great minds with the washing machine envy

DH is currently building us a wardrobe. We've lived here since September & are only now getting a wardrobe. I only came to own drawers last week. We are officially slobs

Springy we don't have a wardrobe!

bronze · 22/03/2009 16:41

oh my goodness anyone feel emotional and broody? dont look here then

SpringySunshine · 22/03/2009 16:42

What kind of flowers, MM?

& it's true - but it's only just hit me that I've been living with piles of clothes on the floor for months. Madness!

He's being very good today (he even just went out to fetch me more Rennies) but I think my crying earlier may have something to do with that

& thanks bronze - it's nice to know that somebody appreciates my pants

bronze · 22/03/2009 16:42

we have a wardrobe but its not deep enough so everything sort of hangs oddly meaning you cant fit much in. Dh has his work stuff in it seeing as its most important

BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 16:46

Oh bronze I am only 1 minute in and already crying - her little little arms next to that key!
