Well at least they shouldn't be so aggressive if they're girls. & if they're breeding then they probably won't kill each other. Although they may eat their babies

& mumblemum, I'm so of your dishwasher - we have nowhere to put one, so are stuck without one for years yet

mathsmummy27 · 21/03/2009 19:29

hello all, had a great day making cakes for a major family bash this afternoon - where all my lovely relatives proceeded to bounce up and down on trampoline with DD and swing her around tirelessly - her two favourite things, both of which mummy is a bit rubbish at atm. (I did have a secret bounce for a while though, and then got told off by my granddad ..)

I am so proud of our cakes I may post a photo. I am soooo not a domestic goddess, but they were fab! and DD did it all (patience did wear slightly thin by the end..)

How's everyone's cervice this fine evening?

BoffinMum · 21/03/2009 19:43

Springy, you can get dishwashers that fit under shallow sinks and draining boards. We had one.

mumblemumhome4lunch · 21/03/2009 19:44

What's happened today ??? Everyone must have been out enjoying the springy sunshine never taken me so short a time to catch up !!

Bleu - glad your headache seems to have cleared up a bit, hope it stays that way. I was going to say don't forget it could be totally unrelated to being preg. I went to the Drs for a headache last year for the first time ever and turned out I had Shingles. If it comes back/doesn't clear properly you should get it checked out.

MM - congrats on the cake front. I always get DS/DD to do the cakes & esp. the decorating these days.......I think they make a fab job of it and noone else minds if they don't come out super fantastic because it's so cute they have done them. You can't lose

Bronze - sooo glad your LO are feeling better and you are ok and had a better night. Oh for sleep filled nights !

Ju/Springy - don't want to dash your hopes but I never get heartburn/indegestion and both mine have had shocking amounts of head hair at birth, none of which was lost, as I was repeatedly told it would be (noe even bald spots on the backs of their heads which is v.common apparetly). Am hoping for another hairy one as can't imagine having a bald baby !!

Boff - absoultely agree YANBU al all. Can't understand the whole no children thing at weddings especially as they are a family event surely ?!? Can understand an adult only evening with friends but surely a babe-in-arms doesn't count......glad she's changed her tune for you. Do you think they are just worried the baby will just scream all the time you are there!!

mumblemumhome4lunch · 21/03/2009 19:46

Springy - whilst looking for our dishwasher we saw a washing machine designed for kitchens with very little space - it was narrow and almost half the normal depth (looked v. odd) surely you might be able to get dishwashers of similar size. Have also had experience of worktop cookers - little midget things. Maybe theres something like that you could squeeze in.

mumblemumhome4lunch · 21/03/2009 19:47

Ah, see Boff beat me to it, and with a link too !!!

mumblemumhome4lunch · 21/03/2009 19:48

Off to see if kitchen is flooded and if I can get food sorted

BoffinMum · 21/03/2009 19:53

Hello
Having contractions again
Blimey this pg thing doesn't half go on.

mathsmummy27 · 21/03/2009 19:54

hey Boff
painful? close together? ((Boff))

Bottom number is duration, top is frequency. Have taken trousers off but that's not helping. No toe wiggling though.

BoffinMum · 21/03/2009 19:59

sorry typing making no sense at all. 2 mins long at increasing frquencies.

Juwesm · 21/03/2009 19:59

Experimental filling of pool relatively successful. Took around an hour to fill, and DH believes he will be able to maintain the temperature fairly easily. I tried to convince him to spend the rest of the evening trying to keep the water at 38 degrees, but he wasn't interested. Emptying proved a little more difficult, and there has been rather a lot of water all over the kitchen and living room floors, but it has done the job of mopping them!

DH did go to get me Creme Eggs, after Springy planted the idea (so easily influenced!) and also came back with Mini Eggs, Jaffa Cakes, choc HobNobs and McCoys! Hoorah!

re: hairy heartburn babies! The funniest one I'd heard was something along the lines of: when making a pot of tea, if the person who pours the tea is not the person who made the tea and stirred it in the pot, then the pourer will have twins, and they will be ginger!

Juwesm · 21/03/2009 20:01

OOOOH! Contractions! Exciting!!!

BoffinMum · 21/03/2009 20:02

dont get excited i might be crying wolf again. it is too early for me

bronze · 21/03/2009 20:03

keep us updated Boff

mathsmummy27 · 21/03/2009 20:03

sounds quite significant Boff. lol at trousers. how painful would you say?

BoffinMum · 21/03/2009 20:04

more painful than bh less painful than toe wiggling certainty

BoffinMum · 21/03/2009 20:28

Settling a bit now. Phew. That was close.

TMI alert
Mathsmummy, I think I can't feel cervix still but vaginal walls seem quite puffy and distended compared to their usual state. Is this related??

Schulte · 21/03/2009 20:38

Hello there

Looks like it's been a quite day on the thread - hopefully everyone was out enjoying the lovely weather.

Thanks everyone for good wishes, DD had a great time I think and got far too many presents - and far too big ones as well, people spent much more on them than I expected

None of the children ate the poisonous berries although one of them came pretty close... had to watch them like hawks.

I am absolutely shattered after making all the cakes and sandwiches and tidying up the chaos afterwards so will be off to bed soon - thank god for Mother's Day lie-in tomorrow!

Schulte · 21/03/2009 20:38

I mean a quiet day of course. Doh.

conkertree · 21/03/2009 20:59

just saying hello - night in while dh goes to a comedy club for his friend's birthday - slightly as its taken till half an hour ago to settle ds so my girly night with sliding doors is a bit late in starting.

BoffinMum · 21/03/2009 21:42

Nutty, I am OK now but completely fed up with being pg, like everyone else.

conkertree · 21/03/2009 21:45

i had a moment today when i glimpsed my bump in a mirror and remembered that it was quite nice to be pregnant - was a nice feminine shape.

and then the bh started again and i couldnt walk faster than a tortoise so it didnt last very long.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 21/03/2009 21:46

Boffin - glad you're ok xx yup i've pretty much had a gutsfull too 6 weeks is an eternity
