morning preggars,
Yesterday I found out why I've been itching. Apparently, when the liver is a bit overworked processing all these pregnancy hormones it starts sending toxins to the skin so you can scratch them out. How amazing is that? I always wondered why 'body-brushing' was supposed to detox you and now I know.
Have got an appointment with an Ob today to review my blood test results. Fingers crossed it's all ok and I can go back to being low-risk.
kiskidee Good to hear your letter's made it all the way to the top AND that you got a response. Complaining does work!
ponymum Good you're settling into your new pad. My SPD isn't nearly as bad as yours, but I do hold some hope that my pelvis will just let the baby plop out (as long as a doctor doesn't come along and stick my legs in stirrups).
mamamufin I have the same nest of pillows. I have two sleeping positions: lying on my left side properly involves my dream genie pillow between my legs and a my feet 'shuffled' between two flatish pillows; then lying on my back 'tilted' to the left, where I stick the two flatish pillows between my legs, rest them against my dream genie pillow and then prop up the right side of my back with another pillow. It's a struggle to maneouvre especially with stiff hands (oedema leads to carpal tunnel at night) and a painful pelvis - but it works!!
Some of you mentioned last night how much you loved being pregnant. I had such a wonderful first two trimesters (apart from the early bleed) and we tried for months to get pregnant so I never forget how lucky I am. I don't even mind the physical suffering in this last trimester. It's frustrating, yes, but my body is doing an amazing thing, it's not forever and there will be a baby at the end of it all. I am, however, looking forward to getting my mobility back, taking the baby out for walks and getting lots of fresh air this autumn.
