Just got a BFP on a ClearBlue digital showing 1-2 weeks, so estimate I will be due around the 4th of July. Anyone else on a similar boat?

Really nervous right now. This is my 4th pregnancy.. 2 losses and DD who's nearly 2. Haven't told anyone other than DH and my mum since I can scarcely believe it!

@Thund4rcat I’m sorry to hear it’s that bad. You just have to do what gets you through. Don’t feel guilty about it.

Bexandtheowl17 · 18/11/2019 16:29

@Thund4rcat I'm sorry you are feeling so bad :( I hope things start to improve for you. I'm sure your clients understand and there is nothing to feel bad about. You need to do what's right for you!

Hello! Can I join you? Found out yesterday I’m 5+5, due 16 July. Doesn’t feel real! Excited but don’t want to let myself think too far ahead. I’ve got DS (4) and DD (2) but pregnancy and the newborn phase seems so long ago. I felt utterly wiped out yesterday but today has been easier. No sickness so far thankfully.

Bexandtheowl17 · 20/11/2019 06:35

@Gablexy congrats!

peanutfoldover · 20/11/2019 22:07

Hello again. 5 weeks today and in a bit of a panic. My DD (5) is really ill with a virus that’s going around her school. The symptoms are a very high temp for 2-3 days and then resolves. She’s on her second day and I’m keeping her temp down from 41deg with calpol.

My panic is that I can feel myself becoming ill too, hardly a surprise as she has been sleeping in with me at night. My temp was 38.6! I’ve read some horror stories online about high temps in early pregnancy. I’ve taken paracetamol and staying as cool as I can in bed lying next to my furnace of a child and drinking loads of water. Temp is now 37.9 so the paracetamol seems to be working.

Honestly, I’m terrified of harming this little embryo before it’s even started to grow!!!

Anyone else poorly right now?

impatientlyinfertile · 21/11/2019 11:29

@Bexandtheowl17 sorry I didn't mean to ignore you my HCG was tiny bit low at first blood test and I got my knickers in a twist 🙄 all ok though it nearly doubled in the time so no ones worried anymore. I am close to my in-laws but the definitely priorities their daughter children over our little boy so we still lack childcare. Regular mini holidays to nanas house are lovely though I hope you find the same
I hope the sickness eases off for you @Thund4rcat that sounds awful
How you doing @peanutfoldover? Look after yourself hopefully your immune system will fight this quickly for you.
I fell asleep at 8pm last night 😂🙄 feeling great today though. I think I'm finally letting myself believe I'm pregnant today and it feels amazing x

peanutfoldover · 21/11/2019 11:38

Hiya! I still have a temp. Have taken the day off work hoping rest will help me fight it off quicker. Taking paracetamol (which I vowed I wouldn’t do in this pregnancy, but what choice do I have?) and seeing GP later anyway for my booking appointment.

Must admit I’m pretty worried what effect this will have on the embryo

impatientlyinfertile · 21/11/2019 18:11

@peanutfoldover I hope your drs reassuring. I think paracetamol is meant to be ok anyway how's your little girl doing? C

peanutfoldover · 21/11/2019 18:44

She is much better thank goodness! Will need to convince her to sleep in her own bed tonight! Lol. The dr was great and very reassuring. My temp on his ear thermometer was normal! I took mine in to demonstrate and mine was measuring one degree higher each time. Bloody thing cost me £20 a few days ago!! So a lot of fuss over nothing really. I think he was a little more concerned about my anxiety levels to be honest!

peanutfoldover · 21/11/2019 18:45

Trying no to think too much about the 3 doses of paracetamol I probably didn’t need.

impatientlyinfertile · 21/11/2019 19:28

@peanutfoldover ahh I'm so pleased I hope your both feeling better tomorrow and that she sleeps in her own bed 😂 my little one sleeps in mine more than his, I'm not sure how we're all gunna fit soon 🙈 x

RedRobin7 · 21/11/2019 20:29

@peanutfoldover I've been told paracetamol is absolutely fine to take. I suffer from hemiplegic migraines so I've already had to take paracetamol just to try to help the pain! I understand though, I'd rather not take it unless I really have to but it is supposed to be safe. Did the dr tell you this too?

peanutfoldover · 21/11/2019 20:50

@RedRobin7 Yes he did! He said it’s absolutely safe and not to worry. He was so kind and patient with me, despite being probably his most needlessly hysterical patient of the day!

My DD is asleep in her own bed! Yay! She still sounds like a mountain goat bless her, but so much better. But I know what you mean @impatientlyinfertile one day there will probably be 2 extra people in my bed! My husband works early shifts so sleeps in a separate room and has done for years (works for us), so to be honest I don’t really mind getting the occasional little visitor!

Essexgirlupnorth · 21/11/2019 22:01

Got a BFP this morning due 23rd July but have long cycles 35 days normally so suspect I will be put back at week.
In shock have been trying for number 2 for over 3 years. Had a missed miscarriage in January so really nervous. Been having tests done by gynecology and last letter said they showed I hadn't ovulated. Obviously must have this cycle. Not told anyone so far and debating whether too tell anyone. Told our families before our scan last Christmas then found out about the missed miscarriage so don't want a repeat of that but of I'm not drinking at Christmas they will get suspicious.
Congratulations to everyone so far

peanutfoldover · 22/11/2019 11:13

Congratulations @Essexgirlupnorth! I am due on the 22nd! Although I went 15 days over with my DD. I’ll have to hide my pregnancy over Christmas and New year too! Doubt my 12week scan will be till mid January.

peanutfoldover · 22/11/2019 11:15

My top tip for Alcohol. Say yes to a glass of wine, pick it up, put in down, secretly pour bits down the sink when you nip to the loo.

I also drank elderflower presse in a champagne glass at a wedding. Nobody noticed and a few people assumed I was drunk!! Lol

2Finallypregnant · 24/11/2019 20:09

Just found out I’m 5 weeks pregnant, after ttc for over 2 years!!

Littleseed2020 · 24/11/2019 20:11

I thought I had written here already but I don’t think I have (so sorry if I have?). I got my first ever positive test on Thursday after nearly 4 years of trying and all sorts of fertility tests etc. I’m over the moon.

My EDD is 27th July x

impatientlyinfertile · 25/11/2019 20:36

Congratulations @Littleseed2020 and @2Finallypregnant have you found long term ttc has made pregnancy scarier ? X

Littleseed2020 · 25/11/2019 20:41

Ah thanks @impatientlyinfertile and you too!!!

  • absolutely! Not that I have anything to compare it with I suppose?! I’m paranoid as hell. It’s literally the best news I’ve ever had which obviously means the thought of it being taken away would be devastating!
impatientlyinfertile · 25/11/2019 20:46

@Littleseed2020 I can't speak for everyone but my first was a "surprise" I knew he'd be born and be ok all I worried about was symptoms and sleepless nights. This time secondary infertility two years of trying and a lucky round of ivf I am sh*tting myself!! 😓 x

Littleseed2020 · 25/11/2019 20:52

@impatientlyinfertile oh wow you had IVF! We were going to have IUI in January. You must be so strong, all those needles etc - I was so scared thinking about needing to do that, but I would have done whatever was necessary. Secondary infertility must bring a whole host of different feelings and fears.

What date are you due? (Sorry can’t scroll backwards on my phone very easily) x

impatientlyinfertile · 26/11/2019 13:40

@Littleseed2020 I'm due the 24th I'm sure it will change though. Ahhh I'm not brave at all I'm just not that bothered by needles. I think I found it easier my little boy has been such a comfort and I know my body can do this. Feeling safer as the days go by and I'm very lucky to get a 7 week scan x

Thund4rcat · 28/11/2019 17:52

Hey all. I had a scan at my IVF clinic last week and we got a photo and saw a heartbeat. Doesn't look like anything but a blob of course at this stage.

Then on Tuesday this week I had to go to A&E and have a drip due to dehydration from hyperemesis. Been in bed for over a week now, was being sick 7 times a day but got it down to twice a day with stronger drugs now. But still feeling constantly nauseaus and finding it very hard to eat or drink. I hope this passes so much!

Doingitagain37 · 28/11/2019 19:06

Joining you ladies, due 11th july, 2nd baby, 10 years apart and 37 now !! Eek
