Just got a BFP on a ClearBlue digital showing 1-2 weeks, so estimate I will be due around the 4th of July. Anyone else on a similar boat?

Really nervous right now. This is my 4th pregnancy.. 2 losses and DD who's nearly 2. Haven't told anyone other than DH and my mum since I can scarcely believe it!

OP posts:

I’m trying to do the whole ‘living in the moment’ thing. Right now I am pregnant and really happy about it. If the situation changes I’ll deal with it then. But right now I’m 100% pregnant!

Right now is all we have.

(Bit philosophical there...!)

impatientlyinfertile · 15/11/2019 20:44

@AliceAbsolum I go back and fourth between fear and excitement your just gunna feel how your gunna feel though. I hope your ok x

Kscott19 · 16/11/2019 03:53

Hi!
5 weeks today. Had the morning sickness which started at roughly 3am Wednesday morning . Slowly eased off a bit now , already mummy to a nearly 4 year old gorgeous little boy.
Congrats all so early but extremely exciting times x

AliceAbsolum · 16/11/2019 06:12

@peanutfoldover You're completely right. I need to get out of my mind and into my life. Thank you.

@impatientlyinfertile Glad it's not just me. How long were you trying for?

I've been watching "first trimester essentials" videos on YouTube to pass the time. It's basically water bottles and ginger sweets Grin

MickyMoo86 · 16/11/2019 16:02

Hi everyone!
This is my first post although I've been scouring Mumsnet for ages reading up on other people's experiences. Got my BFP this morning!! Very, very early days...due 21 July. Happy to be in the gang!!

impatientlyinfertile · 16/11/2019 20:43

@AliceAbsolum we were trying for two years including a chemical in January. I have a 4 year old who was a surprise I didn't even for a second believe that there was a chance he might not be born it's so strange being the obsessive person that this pregnancy has created. How low were you trying?
Congrats @MickyMoo86

When's your little boy 4 @Kscott19 ? Mine turns 4 New Year's Eve x

peanutfoldover · 17/11/2019 04:37

Anyone else have insomnia? Waking for a wee every night at 3am then lying awake till the morning. So annoying!!

AliceAbsolum · 17/11/2019 06:18

@impatientlyinfertile Ah 2 years is a long time, so strange how it can take ages and then just happen. My mum tried for 17 years Shock.
I was 4 and 3 rounds of IVF. One through the NHS, one in the Czech Republic (awful awful awful) Then last chance saloon in Cyprus. I've on SO many meds you wouldn't believe. But it's worth it. We also have 4 frozen embryos for either worse case scenario or a sibling Grin

@peanutfoldover Yup. Partly I'm waking up then doing a lot of (pointless) thinking. Being as bloated as a house doesn't help either Hmm

Bexandtheowl17 · 17/11/2019 08:21

Hi ladies! I got my bfp on Thursday! I'm 4wk +3 today and our working due date is the 23rd July. This is our 2nd baby (totally unplanned but much wanted!), our little girl was 3 at the beginning of this month.

Excited, nervous and still finding it hard to believe!

Congrats to you all! 😊

Toriclyde · 17/11/2019 09:11

Hi everyone! After 3+ years of trying followed by our fist IVF round, I had my first ever BFP last Wednesday. I'm 4w+3 today, and feel cautious, happy and excited all at once! Wishing super smooth pregnancies to everyone Smile

impatientlyinfertile · 17/11/2019 13:12

Awww this was our first ivf round @AliceAbsolum I can't imagine the heartbreak you must have felt doing all them rounds. Is this your first BFP? X

impatientlyinfertile · 17/11/2019 13:13

Congratulations @Toriclyde and @Bexandtheowl17 x

peanutfoldover · 17/11/2019 16:05

So.... what are everyone’s thoughts on nausea at 4w being a sign of twins? I didn’t get nausea till week 6 in my previous pregnancy. Just sitting here trying to rest (I find not moving at all is the best treatment) simultaneously fantasising and panicking about twins!! Lol

peanutfoldover · 17/11/2019 16:07

Congrats to all the newcomers with July babies!! I’m so happy to be having a summer baby. My first DD was born November and those first few months felt so isolated, stuck in the house out of the icy cold weather!

impatientlyinfertile · 17/11/2019 17:54

My little boy was born New Year's Eve @peanutfoldover I def get what you mean about winter feeling quite isolating x

Bexandtheowl17 · 17/11/2019 18:32

@impatientlyinfertile thank you!

I had my first in November too, and was definitely isolating. But not sure it will be much better with a summer baby for me, my parents and friends live over 200 miles away! :(

@peanutfoldover I've been having a lot of nausea too - but not heard of this theory! I'm 4+3 today

EnglishRain · 17/11/2019 18:42

Aww I hate summer!! Would have much rather had a winter babe. I can't bear the heat. I'm a winter babe myself, all my family are autumn/winter.

Interesting the nausea and twins thing, I hadn't heard that. I have been nauseous on and off but not too bad in general. Felt like I had drunk a massive drink in a hurry yesterday, and that it was going to come back up whenever I bent over when doing the horses. Bought some prunes today to try and help out my other problem Blush

peanutfoldover · 17/11/2019 19:11

I’m living closer to my family this time so hoping I’ll feel less lonely during my maternity leave. And I remember rejoicing when the mornings were light again and somehow opening the curtains and getting dressed always felt better in the summer after a sleepless night, than in winter.

Although, obviously autumn and winter will soon roll around so it’s all pointless really.

But Summer birthdays are ALWAYS a good thing!

impatientlyinfertile · 17/11/2019 19:41

@Bexandtheowl17 mine are the other side of the country too. Are you close to you in laws? I made some very good mum friends here through my first son will be nice if I'm that lucky again
@peanutfoldover I'll probably hibernate anyway 😂 I'm shit at the newborn stage x

Bexandtheowl17 · 17/11/2019 20:55

@EnglishRain I love the autumn and winter.. but I'm a summer babe, and I like the long days.. and that's where my love of summer stops! The heat is horrible! So not sure how I'm going to cope!
I've been quite bunged up too.. 😓

@impatientlyinfertile I'm close to them in the sense we get along great, but they live in Norfolk and we live in the North East - both recently moved. My brother and sister in law are close by but they have their own lives. It will be alright in the end though.. hopefully will make some good friends here!

impatientlyinfertile · 17/11/2019 21:44

Awww so you have no one near @Bexandtheowl17 😓 I live in Newcastle and my family's Portsmouth. My in laws are here at least though. How long ago did you move? X

Bexandtheowl17 · 17/11/2019 22:17

@impatientlyinfertile aw, it's a long way to travel isn't it? My parents live in Slough.. so yeah.. it's always a fun drive 😂 We moved from Kent to Durham in October, so have been here just over a month, it's going alright, house is still in boxes! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Aw that's good then, you get along with them alright? X

RedRobin7 · 17/11/2019 22:50

@Bexandtheowl17 Interesting to see where some of you are from 😊 I'm Reading way. How about everyone else?

My DH surprised me tonight and took me to a concert but I feel very achey now from standing up all evening ☹️

cravingmilkshake · 17/11/2019 22:57

Wow guys, this is amazing. This exact time last year we found out we were having our first. Now laying next to a beautiful 3.5 month old ❤️ good luck and lots of love xx

Thund4rcat · 18/11/2019 10:49

Hi folks. Well I'm 6+1 today and have had to quit work due to sickness. I am freelance so no sick pay or promise of a job to return to when sickness eases off, but luckily I've saved enough so it will be OK.

Feel bad for letting clients down because they are charities but it can't be helped. I have been bedridden since Saturday.

Have only been actually throwing up maybe 3 times per day but just feel very awful all the time. This is going to be hard.
