Hi all,

I’m due on the 18th of February with a little girl, this will be my first baby so very excited. Lovely to hear about everybody else’s journeys. I’m 23 weeks today, and baby’s kicks are getting stronger!

Look forward to hear how you are all getting on throughout your pregnancy

Xx

sulkysukey · 22/10/2019 18:41

Snap @ScottyTT same due date 😊 There is another chat with "BFP Feb 2020" or similar in title thread, but I think a lot of them have migrated to chat on Facebook (which I'm not too keen on) so thought I'd say hi here too 😃

Hope everyone is feeling ok. I'm beginning to get a bit twingey in my hips/back and slightly panicky about how I'm going to manage 3 more months in my (very physical) job 😬

JVW2112 · 22/10/2019 18:53

I'm getting lots of movement and stronger and stronger. However my baby has taken to sitting in my hips and on my bladder which is so uncomfortable and I don't know how to get baby to move 😭

RealMermaid · 23/10/2019 06:28

When baby is really squishing my bladder, I do the same movements that the sonographer got me to do to try and move baby into the right position for scanning - basically moving hips from side to side and jiggling about a bit. I'd say at the moment it has about an 80% success rate of getting him to shift weight away from my bladder, although I'm sure that will change as he gets bigger!

anniebeebax · 23/10/2019 10:40

21 Feb and first one for me.
Still a mystery whether it's a boy or girl and it's driving me mad!
End of Feb ladies don't forget 2020 is a leap year!

HorseMum91 · 23/10/2019 11:51

22nd Feb for me! I feel little movements from time to time but nothing major. I have an anterior placenta though, so I'm not expecting to feel much until later on.

anniebeebax · 23/10/2019 14:52

Exciting horse mum only a day apart!

brightbird · 23/10/2019 17:28

Hi @NolaBear,
I'm sorry to hear you are feeling a bit down. I work in a primary school too but our half term is next week. Also there have been a load of us getting pregnant this year, haha!
Hope your infection clears up. Mine's a first as well but my due date is leap year day...!! (feel convinced that I'll be late though with it being first time and also I'm tall)

I have been a bit twingy today and had some spotting yesterday but called up and they weren't worried. Just said to keep an eye. What I expected really! Otherwise it's been fairly plain sailing so far! Movements substantially more noticeable this week. And bump.

NolaBear · 23/10/2019 17:35

@brightbird I was counting down the days for half term especially as I teach Reception class...so very tiring! But now I’m sat at home and I find myself over analysing everything. I’m glad they aren’t worried about your spotting...I’d probably have a meltdown!
I need to just chill out and enjoy my pregnancy Smile
Is your bump that big yet? Mine is quite small and I just look bloated most of the time ha! X

@WineOrGin sorry to hear you've been so worried. Glad they'll be checking you out this morning and I hope it all goes well xx

ScottyTT · 24/10/2019 08:35

Hope all goes well today @WineOrGin

anniebeebax · 24/10/2019 11:13

That’s really good news. Glad all is ok Smile xx

sulkysukey · 24/10/2019 14:53

Glad to hear everything's ok Wine Smile

anniebeebax · 24/10/2019 16:59

Hurray wine! That's brilliant. It's reassuring to hear the HB. All good with me- have a very wriggly baby and constantly feeling vibrations, pokes all over- sometimes down low
Sometimes up near belly button! It's so odd. Have my next m/wife appt on 2 Nov so looking forward to hopefully hearing the little bee's heart again ❤️

brightbird · 24/10/2019 18:02

@NolaBear heh yeah I work with the big ones - would find littlies absolutely exhausting, though they are great one at a time! Bump isn't that big. Well, I am just about managing without maternity clothes yet, though none of my trousers do up without hairband any more, but I think it is much more noticeable. But then I thought I was enormous at 12 weeks when literally noone else could tell haha! I think you just notice more when it's your own body! Basically unless I am topless I just look a bit fat.
@WineOrGin how many weeks? think it's very common not to feel them till quite late. anyway glad you had the reassurance!

NolaBear · 24/10/2019 19:24

Oooh glad everything is ok WineorGin! All the midwives I have met so far have been lovely.
It’s one of the most worrying times ever...one day you don’t feel much and your brain goes into overdrive. Pregnancy is a full time job! Ha!

Soda123x · 25/10/2019 05:03

@Savvysaz snap Smile I'm due 28th Feb too x

This is my 1st. We have decided to not find out the sex of the baby which is super exciting. Started feeling movements about 20 weeks and at 1st I wasnt completely sure it was baby. But over the past week they have definitely got stronger and more frequent so I know it is baby now x

Savvysaz · 25/10/2019 08:18

@Soda123x same - 1st baby and definitely feel movement this week. Tiny little kicks. We found out so I know we are having a little boy 💙 our first baby too

anniebeebax · 25/10/2019 09:48

Me too @Savvysaz keeping it a surprise. Do you have a feeling on what you're having?

anniebeebax · 25/10/2019 09:49

Oops
I meant @Soda123x

LolaLollypop · 25/10/2019 09:58

Hi everyone. Due 16th Feb with my second baby. I already have a gorgeous but challenging 2 year old daughter! We don't know the sex of this baby, think it's actually harder not knowing this time round as I already have a girl. I have an anterior placenta this time whereas it was posterior last time. The kicks are really different. Nothing on my tummy at all (I guess this is where the placenta is) but I'm now feeling them very low down and also like I'm being kicked deep inside my body - hopefully you'll know what I mean!

Been lucky with my pregnancy so far, not too many symptoms. Getting a bit achey now though... it's only downhill (physically I mean!) from here! grin

Pocketrocket2007 · 25/10/2019 09:58

Hi everyone, I'm due 9th Feb, first time. I never realised how exhausting pregnancy is! I've been feeling flutters since around 16wks, now stronger kicks. Can't be felt from outside yet, which is disappointing for bf, as hes so excited & wants to be involved/bond as much as possible. I've got anterior placenta though, so guessing this effects it? Just wondering when he'll be able to feel the movements?
