Thought it might be an idea to set up a thread for those of us that are having babies again when we thought we were 'done and dusted'!! My youngest is 8, eldest will be nearly 11 when this one's born, due September.

I know two sisters with a 19 yr age gap (same parents) they adore each other.

Hi,
I'm also about 6 weeks pregnant after a big age gap. My first three are now 10,9 and 7, we had them so close in age that I couldn't face the idea of any more children until no. This pregancy was definitely planned, but I must say I am getting a bit anxious. I am also turning 40 next month!

Ah what a nice thread, just had to join and say how much dd (8 in dec) is looking fwd to being a big sister at last when this baby boy is born in dec (Hmmm, do you see a theme with my fertility there!)

It will be dp's first child and although dd was very much wanted by me her bio-dad wanted nothing to do with her so its a completely dif experience for me too as I've got a supportive partner now! Plus with dd I felt I 'grew up' with her to a certain extent as I was a (young) 24 when I had her and spent some time living with my parents' as I worked out my life but now me and dp have just bought our first house and are working on our future together

Also, my sis is 18 yrs younger than me (same parents) and is only 6 yrs older than dd but I love the fact they are more like sisters and they have both benefitted from it.

I love the fact that families can be all sorts of ages and types and yet everyone loves each other no matter what (sorry, blame the whole pg hormone thing for sentimentality vibes!)

My dd is 6 and I have a 10 month old ds. To be honest it has gone a lot more smoothly than I had anticipated. we have had a bit of the green eyed monster but it didn't really last, we just kept reassuring dd that we still loved as much as ever and every now and then I say it's a pain having a little brother.

My brother is 19 years younger than me and 16 years younger than my sister. I have a great relationship with him but to be honest my sister has developed middle child syndrome.

just found out I'm pregant (will be 40 when baby born). Ds will be 12 and DD 10. Bit nervous but very excited. Great to hear of all other happy mums out there in similar situation. I'm more worried about my age than the big age gap.
