Hello all :) so just found out I am pregnant again :) had an early miscarriage in January and fallen on again, which is amazing. I am very anxious this time around and don't want to get too excited, but can't help myself. I also found being on here last time was actually a great help when it was taken away from me as people are so kind and it helps to talk, so if it does happen again I am in the right place xx anyway happy times now :) eeeeeek. Anymore early Decembers.
If there is already a group tell me and I can join that. X

Everything crossed that all is ok with you sats Flowers

Chamonix1 · 06/04/2017 21:18

Beardy. I don't list weights, not regularly anyway but I've still been doing my cardio (mainly bike) and swimming.
Figured low impact fine. Weights may well be a different thing all together though.

Chamonix1 · 06/04/2017 21:18

Sats- I hope you're okay Sad fingers crossed all will be fine.

Beardy1 · 07/04/2017 05:48

chamonix thanks for letting me know how you are getting on. I might have a look st doing a bit of cardio too. I'm also going to get my heart monitor on as I've read loads that you shouldn't get your heart above 140bpm.

Chamonix1 · 07/04/2017 06:19

Really?? Ooops!

Marie90 · 07/04/2017 06:49

I've got my fingers crossed that everything is ok for you satsooma. How are you feeling today?

Lindorballs · 07/04/2017 08:00

Beardy I do HIIT twice a week - lunges squats sprint on spot etc. I'm hoping to keep going with that for as long as poss. I also run at the weekend usually 3-5 miles so will try and keep going. I wanted to be as fit as possible before this pregnancy. Last time I had to stop exercising at about 24 weeks due to ankle swelling but I wasn't as fit going into it. I'm hoping the work I've done in advance will help me get through it and recover more quickly after. I really dislike being pregnant and the effect it has on my body to be honest so keeping going with my exercise feels like my rebellion against the constraints of pregnancy!

Beardy1 · 07/04/2017 08:19

Thanks for your input linderballs. I too am really active. I train heavy weights 4 times a week and I have a big German shepherd that I walk for over an hour each day. I've found that over the last week I'm getting really light headed and nauseas at the gym so I'm having to be really mindful and careful. I too will struggle with the pregnancy changes but I'm determined to accept what's going to happen but also maintain where I'm at. I'd hate to go too far backwards but I'm sure it won't take too long to get back into it. I also want to be careful that I don't affect my baby as it's been quite a journey to this point. Good to hear other ladies are in similar shoes and carrying on. How many weeks are you?

Chamonix1 · 07/04/2017 08:40

Totally paranoid I'm going to do damage as I tend to get my gear rate up to 80, do about 23k bike ride followed by a gentle ish swim to cool down.
I've read that as long as you are able to hold a conversation whilst working out it's okay.
Really don't want to stop actually getting my heart rate up as seems kind of pointless.
I'll just take it a bit easier but I'm sure the pros to being fit and pregnant out weigh any negatives to working out!
I'm 5 weeks 4 days

glastogal · 07/04/2017 08:44

I used to run 4/5 times a week and weight train 4 times a week but I had to cut right back for IVF and I am currently quite inactive (my ovaries became really swollen and painful!) I'm really hoping to return to running and the gym after I have seen the midwife but my extended break means I have lost a lot of condition so I think I will be taking it easier than I had intended (and I always intended to cut back on intensity). Can't wait to get back to exercise though - I feel really flabby after a couple of months 'off'!!

Chamonix1 · 07/04/2017 08:47

Heart rate * Hmm

ChocolateRaisin · 07/04/2017 08:50

I have a big German Shepherd too Beardy. I walk him and my other little dog twice a day which keeps me fit enough for now. I'm just aiming to do 10,000 steps a day roughly for my entire pregnancy.

I'm not sure with regards to weights if you are lifting really heavy. I know generally the advice is that you can carry on doing what you were before you were pregnant but once your ligaments start softening heavy weights might not be advisable due to risk of injury.

I'm 5 weeks tomorrow. I'm just taking every day and week as it comes at the moment, which seems to be helping.

Zaberwocky · 07/04/2017 09:09

Imsuch hang on! I'll pop it through this app on my phone Grin I think I can see something, but I'm not too sure! How're you feeling this morning?

satsoooma · 07/04/2017 09:11

Thanks everyone. The doctor actually phoned back last night and said that actually, I could have an early scan, because I was being seen at a fertility clinic and on clomid. Scan is on Monday. In the mean time, I am still bleeding, but it has not got any heavier. I will just have to wait and see what happens over the weekend.

Zaberwocky · 07/04/2017 09:12

I'm not seeing anything with the negative Sad but blue dye tests are a nightmare to read, and you've got those nice sensitive eBay cheapies in the post!

imsuchafool12345 · 07/04/2017 09:12

Thank you beaut. Horrible cramps was up for an hour in the night on the toilet as I had both period style and stomach cramps. And I had the most horrible dream that freaked me out. Still remember it now :S

imsuchafool12345 · 07/04/2017 09:13

Thank you for looking anyway :) and I'm glad youre getting an early scan sats

Zaberwocky · 07/04/2017 09:13

Sats we can be bleeding buddies if you like! I had another delightful gush last night Hmm I know it's scary, and worrying. I'm glad you're getting an early scan though! Hopefully that'll clear things up.

amazingrobot · 07/04/2017 09:21

Tentatively joining you guys. 14dpo - have had some faint lines - hoping for something stronger soon. I'm 38 and have 3ds so this would be number 4.

Dtd once bang on the static smiley and feeling very lucky if this sticks. Due date calculator puts me at 14th Dec but have had 3 cs already so this will be another.

Zaberwocky · 07/04/2017 09:22

Well, I'm off to the doctors this morning to see if I can persuade them to sign me off till after the scan next week Sad I'm dreading it. I'm terrified they'll say no, but I just can't face work like this. Currently I'm due back Monday.

I really am dreading it. DH works there, and obviously he's had to speak to his manager, he's friendly with his colleagues and has spoken about it with them, I know I shouldn't be embarrassed but I just can't deal with all the looks of pity and most likely, having to walk back through reception sobbing. I just don't feel like I have any privacy going there. But there's no other local GP Angry

amazingrobot · 07/04/2017 09:24

This was this morning's frer - first one after 2 mins. Second after 1hr.

Congratulations amazing

satsoooma · 07/04/2017 09:28

Thanks zabe and fool. Sorry to hear that you guys are having a rough time too. My doctor said that 20% of pregnant women have bleeding and it turns out fine. So hopefully we are just the 20% of the thread!

amazingrobot · 07/04/2017 09:30

Thank you. Sorry to hear about bleeding. I had gushing bleeding and clots with ds1 at about 6 weeks and all was well.
