Goodness me, so much going on with everyone!
Thom (or Thor, according to autocorrect!) - Hope you're ok - thinking of you. Great to hear the baby's doing so well. Hope they let you out soon. And I hope things fall into place on the house/unpacking front too.
Anna - thinking of you and your mum - glad to hear she's out and hope she's doing ok. My dad had septicaemia a few years ago and ended up in a coma on life support with multiple organ failure, but then fully recovered - fit as a fiddle! The human body is an amazingly resilient thing. Sorry to hear re the house malarkey - hope it sorts out soon.
Elliz - gosh, and your dear ma too. Thinking of you both. Glad to hear she's still up to a bit of ogling! Re brexit - I am deeply worried!
Jem - nice that you've been allowed out - more relaxing at home. Keep us posted when you can.
Speak - hope your bp settles. Glad the baby is doing fine. Hope you get more wriggles as the day progresses.
Beaut - how's your DH - recovered? Good point re packing the bubbly in the hospital bag! Sorry re your lady garden epic fail! I was planning to re-do mine today. Do you think you left the cream on for too long, or d'you reckon your skin is just getting more sensitive as you approach the finishing line?
Birchy - hope you're ok too - what a headache.
Photo - how lovely that you still chat daily with your MN2013 mums on fb! And you, beaut. Hope your DD stays settled, photo.
Cookies - ha ha, I laughed re the speed bumps!
Dats - I'm another one in the queue for a hip replacement. They've started really really aching over the last few days. I guess at 35w the body is starting to move/expand into place for labour. Love your idea re snorting curry powder, ha! When I was doing exams at uni, at lunchtime one of my class dared another boy to snort a line of salt. He cried all the way through the afternoon exams. Idiot.
Lula - glad the house move has happened and hope you manage to get everything else in place.
Kaytee - yes I developed a lot of those symptoms last week too (week 34) - especially sore hips/back/pelvis and the nausea. I think it's just the muscles loosening into place, but would be interested to hear what your MW says - please report back! I'm relieved to hear from beaut that this can last a few weeks - no way do I want the baby to arrive quite yet!
For those asking about Fifi and Luca, she posted a lovely photo on fb a few days ago - seems to be doing fine.
As for me, Baby is wriggly as ever, and he's developed a hiccoughing habit over the last week. Did our final NCT class on Saturday - I'd say it was only partly useful, and if anything it just freaked DH out even more, re how much our lives are going to change. Met some nice people through it though, and the ladies have already set up weekly coffees which I'm looking forward to. I've got 2.5 weeks left at work (although that includes some half days for midwife/consultant/antenatal plus the afternoon off today for a Coldplay concert - my Christmas present to DH). And then I'm hoping to have a further 2.5 weeks at home before the baby's born, as I could do with some time to relax. Having said that, as DH is very much not relaxed about the whole thing, part of me thinks the sooner it happens the better 😳
35+1
