Fingers crossed for the scans today, soon they will all be out of the way and it will be plain sailing (haha). I feel shocking today, horrible cold and sore throat, hardly slept last night. Am on honey and lemon which is actually working quite well, hurrah for natural remedies!

Had a horrific conversation with my mother last night where she told me I 'chewed her nipples to bits' when I was a baby. Thanks mum Hmm

HexyQueen · 10/12/2014 09:58

Liked your page on FB mummymog.
Loved the pic of twins too!
Tranq & bingo, I was the same holding off telling people as was still nervy too. But we told our kids at weekend and now our parents, checkout ladies at Asda & whole school knows as DD (4) tells everyone she meets!!!

Lovely scan pix & news, good luck to those waiting for their scans.

In other news, I've had 2 whole days in last 6 without vomiting at all. Yay, hopefully I'm past the worst of this bloody hyperemesis.

teeniedeenie34 · 10/12/2014 10:25

Thanks for all the tips re having a full bladder for scan. Holding is so uncomfortable and my stomach is quite tender, so not sure I'll take well to a sonographer then pushing on it with a scan thingy. Hopefully I'll be too mesmerized with the screen to care though!

Nice and early scan for you Sparkle, yay!

Good luck to all with scans today. And also to Kyz and Bingo for your appointments.

Chookford · 10/12/2014 11:37

Good luck for all the scans today!

mummy lovely pic of your two little bubs!

Chookford · 10/12/2014 11:38

Everyone wants pee when your pregnant... Might as well carry it everywhere ( particullarly if it's a good pee... Does anyone else sometimes have several attempts at a pee so they don't get told off for not drinking enough)

Good luck everyone with scans appts.

Thanks everyone who liked my page, giveaway finishes tonight andI dodnt think I'm going yo get the 50+ entrants I thought I would- note to self, set more realistic expectations.

Jenny dont let your Mum Worry you, babies learn not to Bite and a properly latched baby, your nipple is way way back in their mouth by the soft pallet so totally safe from hard gums and teeth

mummymog · 10/12/2014 12:38

In other news. - Dd had a breast feed! Her first proper feed in 2 days. Made me so happy.

AnythingNotEverything · 10/12/2014 12:55

Just back army desk after my scan. Baby is healthy and bouncing away.

My uterus is currently tilted and I had to wee twice for her to get a decent view. She kept saying "how far along do you think you are?" And "I'm not sure baby is as big as that." It took all my strength not to break down in the toilet and not return. I was so sure she was going to tell me baby was too small for dates and not viable.

Anyway, she finally confirmed a heartbeat and bladder and stomach etc, but could get the nuchal fold measurement so I'm going back for the quad blood test at 15 weeks.

Pretty scary for a while but all good.

Also saw a registrar to discuss my referral for a GTT. She's reviewed my notes and decided it was unlikely I had GD at the end of my last pregnancy, and therefore there's no clinical need for a GTT at 26 weeks. Whoop!

Chookford · 10/12/2014 13:14

Anything glad you had a good scan, although the sonographer worried you! Enjoy your good scan news!

I've never had anyone comment on my uterus before (and this is DC3!) but she said it should right itself about 14 weeks. I assume that'll be the day I wake up with a bump, right?!

Tryingreallyhard84 · 10/12/2014 14:34

anything - great news...eventually then. Grin my hubs was craning his neck to see what the songographer could see on the screen. he's a nosey bugger. luckily mine kept me in suspense for all of 10 seconds. good luck to those still to go.

I am losing the will to live here today. I'm annoyed with so many people today. rage has set in. Angry I'm sick of answering stupid questions just because people can't be bothered to think it through themselves! abs breathe...

BingoBonkers · 10/12/2014 15:03

Can confirm that the nasal bone is all present and correct. Thank goodness. Was also offered the quad blood test but I've declined as I trust Harmony. Hospital have me as 13+1 based on measurements and not 13+4. Either way this baby will be late so at least if the hospital have me as earlier then they will lay off the pressure of birth iyswim.

Great news, Bingo - such a relief.

Tori, I'm high risk (for many reasons!) and last time around I was on LW but MW care throughout - until the neonatal team were called, then a consultant got involved..!

Chookford · 10/12/2014 16:03

bingo hurrah fab news!! X

Thelovecats · 10/12/2014 16:45

A successful scan for me too thank goodness, and moved ahead a few days so am now 12+6. Luckily there was a screen so we could see exactly what the sonographer sees straight away. Didn't have any tests so blissfully ignorant of nuchal fold or nasal bones or anything of that nature!

HexyQueen · 10/12/2014 16:47

Great news bingo. Will u tell people now? X

Tranquilitybaby · 10/12/2014 16:56

Great news on the scans today ladies!

bingo what a relief you saw the nasal bone. Got my NHS nuchal tomorrow. Haven't really thought about this one, just focussed on Friday now.
Glad I'm not the only one not wanting to tell too many people!

Chookford · 10/12/2014 17:03

jazzyjenbo · 10/12/2014 18:26
