A few babies have already arrived, with more due to make their entrance soon, and it's not even September yet!

Huge congratulations red and good luck donteven!

cookielove · 02/09/2014 01:15

Oh dear god, I can't put the baby down to sleep he just screams!

DearDinah · 02/09/2014 05:28

Something wrong with my baby, keeping us in now, she's having blood tests & scans & all sorts. I don't really understand it all, she's not poorly, just not...right. Been moved to our own room, I'm just lying here crying on my own, Evie is sleeping soundly, amazed since she's been pricked & prodded all day, will have blood test results back from alder hey tomorrow, something said about a rare congenital defect.

RedToothBrush · 02/09/2014 06:13

Awww dear Dinah, I really, really hope you are bearing up ok and Evie is ok.

Thank you to everyone btw.

ilovemonstersinc · 02/09/2014 06:46

Dinah Flowers
Hope you are both ok x

polkadotdelight · 02/09/2014 06:53

We are all thinking of you Dinah and hope everything is ok x

CumbrianExile · 02/09/2014 07:20

Thanks Dinah, thinking of you, hope everything is ok.

Waters broke last night. Just having breakfast then on my way in. Contractions (I think thats what they are!) are not very frequent at the moment and still very mild so could still be a while off, but its all starting to happen, and I am a little scared!

AlwaysandForever09 · 02/09/2014 07:47

Thinking of you and your family and little Evie dinahThanks
Congrats to red!! And good luck to dont and cumbrian, looking forward to updates later, more babies! Smile

lucidlady · 02/09/2014 07:49

Thinking of you Dinah Thanks

dontevenblink · 02/09/2014 07:51

Thinking of you both too dinah Thanks Really hope everything is ok.

Good luck cumbrian Smile

Thanks polka, I'm actually feeling a bit sick with nerves now, you wouldn't think this was my 4th baby!

RedToothBrush · 02/09/2014 08:03

Good luck Cumbria and dontblink (I forgot that you are 3rd nz time so actually today uk time)

I don't think it was falling blood pressure - think that's been good. I think its more likely to be the weird one of simply being very short particularly in the body so the spinal affected me differently.

Dh and Trouble are still snoozing... Could not have got through last night without him as panicked several times. Cant sleep even though I should try.

Topsyloulou · 02/09/2014 08:06

Thinking of you Dinah. Hope they come back to you quickly with some answers.

Congratulations Red, hope you're feeling a bit more with it now.

Cumbrian, v exciting. Hope the contractions speed up.

KatharineClover · 02/09/2014 08:22

Congratulations red! Good luck donteven and cumbrian

CoolCat2014 · 02/09/2014 09:03

Good luck Dinah hope you get answers quickly! Thanks

Due date today. Does anyone know what standard procedure is if you go overdue? I've been told nothing... I've been told nothing this whole pregnancy, and still don't know what to expect. No one will talk to me about birth plan or anything :(

dontevenblink · 02/09/2014 09:26

Yep red the whole date difference thing is really confusing our family back in the UK! I'm going in at 8.30 am my time, so will be 9.30pm tues yours...

Marjal12 · 02/09/2014 09:40

Oh Dinah, my heart goes out to you - you've been having such a rough time of it already without this too. I know it won't be much comfort until you get more information on Evie's condition, but I have 2 friends who were told their babies had defects shortly after birth. One was told her daughter would have heart problems and learning difficulties. The other that her son may never walk or speak. Both kids have hit all their milestones and are happy 5 and 7 year olds. And with a bit of physio, the boy is now running rings round people and has good language skills. Hope your case is similar xx

Coolcat, it's normally dependent on your trust but in ours they'll let you go 10 days over, then it'll be an induction. Have you spoken to your midwife/GP about lack of communication? No-one ever asked me about a birth plan but you should have been spoken to about contingencies!

KitKat1985 · 02/09/2014 10:08

Thinking of you Dinah. Hope you get some answers soon. Thanks

Good luck to dont and cumbrian for today.

xxx

CoolCat2014 · 02/09/2014 10:29

Marjal - I've got an appointment with MW tomorrow, so if things haven't naturally kicked off by then I will be drilling them! Debating whether to say anything to anyone, DH managed to find a site last week for our local health board which detailed choices that would be offered, but I've never been offered anything. Didn't get a choice of where to give birth, never even got told where I would give birth... It's all been assumed that I know. Feel like there must be something that I missed!

Just read an article on how to keep yourself amused when overdue... It recommended buying sexy lingerie and booking a weekend away. Hmm

Serotonin · 02/09/2014 10:45

Dinah hope all is well and you get some answers soon

went to Bournemouth for a couple of days and have come back with a stinking cold that's on my chest at the moment Sad I don't feel particularly unwell just hugely productive cough that's really hurting me.

Still no signs of my little pink girly coming though - I'm not even really symptom spotting right now because there seems to be no real point. guess I am feeling a little sorry for myself lmao

BexBoo12 · 02/09/2014 11:06

Dinah, I just read back a few posts, and I'm sending lots of love your way, and really hope you get a good result. Thinking if you Thanks

Hello to everyone else! Sorry I've been quiet. It's down to the fact that last Monday (25th) at 8:46pm I joined the mummy club. Grin Baby Jacob James was born 2 weeks early weighing in at 7lb 4oz and to me he couldn't be more perfect Grin

CoolCat2014 · 02/09/2014 11:21

Congratulations Bex :)

Topsyloulou · 02/09/2014 11:25

Congratulations Bex, fab name.

Coolcat I've already been booked a sweep for my 40 week midwife appointment & been told that at my 41 week appointment we'll book a date for my induction which will be no more than 10 days after my due date. Sounds like you've haven't had the best of care from your midwife. I've got a survey to complete on mine once the baby arrives but I would certainly contact your local PALS team and feedback to them and possibly the supervisor midwife for your area if you have her details.

lilone1234 · 02/09/2014 11:26

Congrats Bex! Jacob is a lovely name.
