...James, surname starts with a B.We like Trad names which could easily be Irish or British(Ma and Pa)

We like celtic names(but nothing too obscure-dh request!)But will prob use one for a middle name.

We've got a girls name lined up if we have a girl in future (Imogen) so that would be a consideration.

Personal perferance would be no names starting with B(or J)

I've drawn a blank(I like Thomas,but that's it)

Oh - but don't go for James Connor - poor lad's initials would be JCB!

Iklboo · 16/08/2006 14:23

James Henry
James Michael

Finn or Fionn to give it it's gaelic spelling

spinamum · 16/08/2006 14:54

I love the name Finn but my DH went to a three yr olds birthday party and didn't "warm" to the mum of a little boy with that name!!!

See what I'm up against!

My lovely small village was in the West of Ireland. I'm saying no more as I'm sure if anyone I knew even looked aat MN they'd spot me instantly.
And then where would I vent?

I'm loving JCB LOL. My son would adore that(as would my 28 yr old brother who was OBSESSED with them as a kid)
Unfortunately two boys called James might also get confusing

Joseph?

Other J/B names: Barnabas, Benjamin, John (all v. biblical!). Someone suggested Tobias: v. nice and more unusual than Toby.

What about Edward? Robert? Owen? Henry or Harry? William? Christopher? Michael?

jabberwocky · 04/09/2006 12:49

We're using Kiernan. Since I'm in the US, feel free to use it Dh didn't like Kieran since there is a Japanese beer called Kirin. I like Kyan, too.
