Old thread is getting full so here's a nice new one for all our moaning, paranoia and getting each other through it. Can someone do the honers and copy our edd list over? Maybe link the old thread too?

Thanks, Trouble - the more I read of people saying that sickness is a sign of a healthy baby the more worried I get! Sounds like you're one of the lucky ones, maybe I am too...

mum2kiss · 03/03/2014 20:33

Ive had 3 pregnancies (I mc my first) and never had morning sickness. My 5 year old is healthy, physically...her mental state is questionable!

My bump looks huge...one of my work colleagues knows and said on friday "your tummy is so big!". No idea how I will keep it secret much longer...

CareBearWithFangs · 03/03/2014 20:34

Bingle I also had barely any symptoms with DD (until she started to kick, there was lots of kicking) and DD is just fine (still very wriggly)

RunDMC · 03/03/2014 20:34

Ohthegoats I've got a similar worry going on - going to London for the harmony test on the Thursday morning and to justify flying from Scotland have arranged an afternoon meeting with an important client. Just what was I thinking ?

Also DH can't come as we couldn't stretch to flights for 2 trips for both of us so I'm trying to think positive thoughts and telling myself it will all be ok !

ohthegoats · 03/03/2014 20:35

You keep it secret by wearing only leggings and dresses, and saying things like 'I really need to lose weight'... everyone at my work has agreed that they do too, and we have a weigh in tomorrow pre lent diets.

mum2kiss · 03/03/2014 20:37

Youve just reminded me I picked up a couple of dresses to wear with leggings today...need to try them on!

TroubleAndFyfe · 03/03/2014 20:37

Ignore all that bingle, it's just something people say to make sick people feel better about it - absolutely no science behind it! Grin

mum2kiss · 03/03/2014 21:04

Neither dress helps me to look less preggers...back to the drawing board!

ExcitedCJ · 03/03/2014 21:07

Wow.. Pg 33!
I haven't checked in for a while. Been feeling very nauseous the last week, although OK today, so freaking out a little. I forgot how much you stress about everything!
I stayed at my Mums at the weekend & she has a double electric blanket which I was enjoying cuddling into while watching TV until on the 3rd evening my DH stroked my arm & I got a little light shock! Now freaking out it has stopped the babies heart!
Also panicking that my facial moisturizer which contains Vit A has done baby harm too!
GP appt on Fri & hopefully sent for early scan, might put my mind at rest a little.
Oh.. Now having a cry! Not coping so well this time round!

ohthegoats · 03/03/2014 21:08

Need to do empire line - which you can only really get away with NOW, if you wear them all the time anyway. I imagine that if I'd just started to wear some of my stuff only to hide a belly, there would be tongues wagging. As it is I look deeply unprofessional in empire line dresses, leggings and biker boots a lot of the time (I'm a deputy head!).. this combo is currently hiding the bloat, but I'm getting bored of wearing it all the time.

mum2kiss · 03/03/2014 21:12

Ah well I usually where trousers and close fitting tops...dp said I looked like I was in maternity wear with the dresses.

ohthegoats · 03/03/2014 21:15

I haven't been able to get my one pair of work trousers done up since the end of Jan. Nothing to do with pregnancy, all to do with having January off the gym, and spending Christmas and New Year stuffing my face with booze and food.

Will be good to get into some maternity trousers to be honest.

Actually, I'm going on holiday on 7th April for two weeks - I have no idea what I'm going to be able to wear/what I need to buy. I'm thinking leggings will be too hot in Thailand!

thegirlwhouk · 03/03/2014 21:26

I have the same problem with my clothes!

I have a work wardrobe full of shift/suit/smart dresses which I can just chuck on at 6am without a care in the world. Now though, they're all too darn tight!

I've started relying on trousers, long sleeved tops and cardis. A well placed scarf helps to cover up the fact that my trousers are not done up fully ;-)

I'm going to go late night shopping on Thurs I think. Need a few new bits to see me through the next few weeks, clearly!

devoncreamtea · 03/03/2014 21:44

Hiya - recovered from my bout of angst...! If you can't fasten your trews, try threading a hairband or elastic band through the button hole back through itself and onto the button - it holds trews in correct place and isn't noticeable with a long top. I am not at that stage yet - but am another tunic and leggings fan, so can incorporate the expansion (def more biscuit than bump).

ohthegoats laughing at your weigh-in scenario - see if you can keep it up for a few months before telling all 'I can't think why I'm not losing more weight - it must be water retention' sporting a football bump under your jumper!!

pebble82 · 03/03/2014 21:55

This week's one born every minute is making be worry I'll irritate the midwives. Never really been in pain so not sure if I'll be a nightmare :-(

Binglesplodge · 03/03/2014 21:56

Pebble - me too!! I'm determined to be as easy to look after as possible. Not sure how that plan will hold up under pressure...

Grannyapple · 03/03/2014 22:01

Ha ha I was convinced I'd be swearing like a trooper to the London mw's in my labours in my strong Glaswegian accent, but I was the total opposite (thank god ha ha!)...you honestly don't know til you get in there..

Oh just watched that young couple give birth...still amazes me that's how babies come out Grin

Wiggy29 · 03/03/2014 22:43

Hi folks. Do you think I should be concerned by this? With dc1&2 I had morning (and late evening) sickness daily from about 5-18weeks. With this DC it was the same, from 5 weeks every day until about 3 days ago when it suddenly stopped. Do you think this is a possible missed Mc (I.e. no other symptoms such as cramping/ bleeding)? I'm 8 weeks tomorrow.

BlueberryPoppy123 · 03/03/2014 22:48

Ahh twins... Lovely thought but if there's 2 on my scan the panic will really set in... Already worried my son will feel pushed out add 2 babies to that he really will feel left out :( I'd also be gutted as I'd never be pregnant again DP would rather stop at 2 but said after our wedding we can go for baby 3... But if my poppy is 2 Poppy's then that blows that idea! (Poppyseed is this little dudes nickname lol)

My gramps was a twin... Have 2 sets of cousin twins too...

BlueberryPoppy123 · 03/03/2014 22:49

Wiggy you may have just got over it earlier this time... Or your body might e giving you a breather... I'm 8 weeks tomorrow too we must have same dd

Wiggy29 · 03/03/2014 22:53

Ah lovely blueberry, are you about Oct 14th (keep forgetting, poor dc3).

BlueberryPoppy123 · 03/03/2014 23:26

Yea :) although I think they may push dates back as they did with DS due to longer cycle

TroubleAndFyfe · 04/03/2014 07:29

9 weeks today! This is going so much faster this time around! Smile

mrsb87 · 04/03/2014 08:15

Morning, 10 weeks at the end of this week! I have my booking in appointment on friday and scan in 2 weeks.
Are your meds helping you carebear? I hope you are managing to keep some food and drink down now? I suggest you get some ketostix, they will help you keep an eye on the ketone levels in your urine which tells you how dehydrated you are.

binkybunny · 04/03/2014 08:46

I have finally had enough of throwing up at work and called in sick today. Woke in the night for the loo and retched til I thought my insides were coming out and havent been able to move yet this morning.

Feel a bit of a failure taking a sick day for morning sickness :-(
