Hello everyone, off we go again...

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
HungryHorace · 26/01/2014 21:11

Is it 111? What was NHS direct.

Owlysims · 26/01/2014 21:17

111 is the number you call to get out of hours doctor appointment Thanks

HungryHorace · 26/01/2014 21:18

God, it's all too confusing. Though an OOH appt may very appropriate for Flymo.

mssleepyhead · 26/01/2014 21:46

Flymo that sounds dreadful and like you need to be in bed if at all possible. Perhaps it's vertigo? Don't go to work and look after yourself x

2beornot · 26/01/2014 21:52

Flymo - def get medical advice. It doesn't sound like fun, but i don't think it's preg related. See how you are in the morning and don't go if you're not well enough

Owlysims · 26/01/2014 21:54

I think it's also nhs direct, they put you through to doc Smile

Owlysims · 26/01/2014 21:55

I second don't go to work, feel better soon ThanksThanksThanks

FriendofDorothy · 26/01/2014 22:19

I feel crap at the moment too. Have felt horrid all weekend. Knack err with a horrid headache that won't shift. I am assuming it's either hormonal or viral.

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 26/01/2014 22:32

Flymo, that sounds horrible, hope you get seen by a doc before having to go back to commuting and work.

Good luck for tomorrow Travis, Horace and Countdown! I've also got my scan tomorrow, at 4pm. Both excited and nervous. Today I haven't felt sick for the first time in ages but have been exhausted - we all slept in until 10 this morning but even so I could hardly get off the sofa all day and eventually gave up and went to bed at 7.30, leaving poor dd (who has had a seriously boring day) with dh, who should be studying. Now that I've had a couple of hours' sleep, I'll probably not be able to get back to sleep again...

HungryHorace · 26/01/2014 22:34

Good luck tomorrow, DuPain. :-)

CountdownBegins · 26/01/2014 22:55

Flymo that sounds horrible- definitely try and drink loads more water and give 111 a call- my doctor told me dizziness and vertigo symptoms in pregnancy are due to your centre of gravity changing... Not helpful really but wanted to let you know it is 'normal'- just not great when it makes you feel so rubbish :(

Good luck for tomorrow DuPain- our appointments are the same time! Good luck Hungry and Travis too!

Shakshuka · 27/01/2014 00:38

Flymo
I agree that you should get checked out if it doesn't pass. It sounds scary. it may be nothing but best to get it checked. When I was about 14 weeks with dd2, I got the most awful stomach ache. I was sent to the ER and had investigations and scans etc. The diagnosis: heartburn! Blush . I was so embarrassed but I'd been in so much pain and it didn't feel like heartburn. They were right because as soon as they gave me some gaviscon I started to feel better!!!!

Good luck to all those having scans tomorrow. Fingers crossed it'll all be OK and only good news.

I'm happy to say that I am feeling so much better. No nausea for a couple of days and the mad need to constantly eat has passed whcih is a relief for my waistline. But I'm definitely starting to look a bit pregnant depending on what I wear. I think my abdominal muscles have surrended before the battle has even begun. And, no bleeding for a few days as well. I hope I've turned the corner with the nausea/eating and the bleeding. Sorry for all those still suffering, it's horrendous.

I'm also kind of excited because we put in an offer on a house which has been accepted! DH and the husband of the lovely old couple selling their family house hit it off like a house on fire (maybe not the best phrase....) and spent hours chatting away (while me and the estate agent rolled our eyes and carried on looking around the house Grin) so even though they actually had a higher offer from a developer, they decided to sell to us. They even want to leave us some artwork because they want it to stay in the house which we found really touching. Not so looking forward to moving when pregnant but definitely easier to do before baby rather than after!

HungryHorace · 27/01/2014 06:18

That's exciting, Shak. How long does a house purchase take in NY? Is it more straight forward than here?

I moved at about 20 weeks' pregnant with DD, not ideal, but bearable. Is it far from where you are now?

And also good news about the bleeding stopping.

I've been awake since DD woke at 4. :-/ I've managed to convince myself it's going to be bad news today. I've got stomach ache and have had for a couple of days, which doesn't help. But I think it is stomach, not gynae.

I'm doing my own head in, it has to be said. Roll on 11.35 so I can just get it over with.

mssleepyhead · 27/01/2014 07:12

I know this has been happening to others for weeks, but I can't believe I was up 6 times in the night for the toilet last night. 6 times! That's new for me, until last night it was once a night. So very tired now... Feeling bad for the poor kids i'm going to teach today!

Good luck scan people - everything crossed for you today x

lucyfluff · 27/01/2014 07:25

Wow four scans today!! Good luck travis, hungry, dupain and countdown Smile let us know your news! How exciting!!

Flymo - second visit to GP re dizziness. I had a couple of room spinning episodes in my last pg and it was horrible. It was def pg related and went away but felt nasty so feel for you.

Im going to ring the GP back today and have a chat with him about the bleeding last week...all was quiet over the wkend so thats a good sign but I still have a while until my scan and dont want to stress out all that time worrying.

OveranxiousUnderated · 27/01/2014 07:42

Good luck to everybody having scans today! Smile X

Owlysims · 27/01/2014 08:12

Good luck to everyone that has scans today!! I'm sure you'll all be fine. Thanks

Lucy I think that's a good idea as you don't want to spend next few weeks with a niggling feeling of 'what if' when I'm sure everything is fine and a scan will put your mind at rest. (At least for a few days! Then you start to worry again! Wink)

Two weeks today until my 12 week scan, can't wait, feeling a lot more confident after seeing how much the baby had grown on Saturday just want to see all okay again at 12 weeks and be able to (hopefully) spill the beans to everyone Smile

Secretlypregnant · 27/01/2014 08:14

Hope all the scans go well today! Haven't checked in over weekend as we threw our big annual party, loads of friends came over and dh announced our news too. Lovely night but I didn't get to bed till 4 on Sunday morning and then was up at 7.30 to take dd to swimming class. Lunch with friends who had come down from London for the party and then I slept all afternoon!

travispickles · 27/01/2014 08:25

Hi, quick question. I have had no letter and I can't remember. How much am I meant to drink and when? Scan at ten.

eeyore2911 · 27/01/2014 08:30

Drink a couple of pints and don't wee from an hour or so before Grin

Owlysims · 27/01/2014 08:34

Travis depends on your bladder but letter only recommends pint an hour before and no weeing. I was fine with that (and desperate for a wee!) at my 8 week scan. On Saturday I had emptied my bladder and not had a drink for hours and they saw baby fine (at 10 weeks) so I think a pint will be more than enough! Good luck Thanks

travispickles · 27/01/2014 08:54

Also how long does it take? Worst case scenario?

onion19632 · 27/01/2014 09:03

Good luck to all having scans today! Can't wait to hear you good news and see pictures.
My sore boobs seem to have got 95% better which is lovely but worrying at the same time. Hopefully a good sign as approaching around 12 weeks, but don't think I will stop worrying until my scan. Still had nausea last night though and have mild stretchy achy pains. So hard to remember how it was last time. The first trimester seems to be a constant worry! 8 days to go until scan though! My hospital make you empty your bladder before the scan, funny how they differ so much.

Secretlypregnant · 27/01/2014 09:03

We were there ages because of being in the wrong position - about two hours. Shouldn't take that long normally though - half an hour max ideally!

babyspice2501 · 27/01/2014 09:05

Finally caught up! Lol thanks girls for all my bday wishes had a lovely weekend. Went for a meal with dp sat night and had a big family thing sunday.

Good luck to all the scans today! :)

Owley hope your ok today x
