We've now welcomed mini sun, dawn, kat, zazou and selfies (please tell me I haven't missed anyone...)....who will be next?!

Those of us waiting impatiently will be showing down on dates, pineapple, RLT and curry while having awkward whale sex.

Loves, I'm right there with the rib jabs. And with the impatientness. Driving me crazy now. I was on and off awake all night with back pain, Waah. I want a nice nights sleep :(

cherrycola86 · 12/02/2014 09:05

Champs I feel your pain over lack of sleep! I was moaning a few weeks ago at waking up every 2 hours- now it's more like hourly though! I guess is good preperation for when baby comes! I always think it's a shame that women aren't designed to go into hibernation before birth/newborn instead of having bladder issues and getting prematurely used to no sleep!
Oddly feeling a bit sad today that tomorrow will likely be my last day with my bump! Going to clean the house and get all prepared, so tomorrow I can just veg on the sofa eating cheesecake serenely float around enjoying my last day of pregnancy Smile

HopeS01 · 12/02/2014 09:05

Somanychanges, your induction experiences sound really encouraging!! Thank you!

I haven't had any twinges following my second sweep so I'm trying to get used to the idea that induction is the only way this baby is coming. Despite a week of losing my MP, having lots of Braxton hicks, back ache, soreness down below and now being 3/4 cm he's still chilling out in there!

So, Friday is the day! Smile

cherrycola86 · 12/02/2014 09:07

and Lyndsey I jumped out of my skin when baby kicked me under the ribs, owwww!!

HopeS01 · 12/02/2014 09:08

And I feel guilty for admitting this to all of you sleep deprived ladies, but I sleep for about 4 hours at a time Blush! Can't imagine how you're all coping!

Cherry great idea. I think I'll do the same

lyndsey90 · 12/02/2014 10:49

Hope.. I can sleep just fine in a morning, I seem to get the best sleep when my OH has left for work, I've been sleeping till mid-day for the past couple of weeks. I feel awfully lazy but hey ho, I need my sleep. Got up with the OH this morning, got a feeling today is going to be a long day.

I was waking up every hour last night with back pain, felt like what I would imagine back labour would feel like. Started in my back, got more intense and spread across my tummy. When I woke up this morning though, all was gone. Grrrrrrrr.

HopeS01 · 12/02/2014 10:56

Oh Lyndsey! I totally sympathise with that, it's happened to me a couple of times and I'm always so disappointed to wake up not in labour Sad

lyndsey90 · 12/02/2014 11:03

I feel like I've been pregnant FOREVER and I was TTC for 11 months haha. Feels like just yesterday we decided to start TTC.. These last couple of weeks/days are awful haha!!

lyndsey90 · 12/02/2014 11:06

Just uploaded my 4 days to go belly shot, realised I've never posted one on here before lol!

lyndsey90 · 12/02/2014 11:13

Volvo
My younger sister had her first baby at 16 (sigh) but she went 2 weeks overdue and was induced, she had no problems and handled the labour on gas and air giving birth to a 9lb 7oz whopper. She said she'd do it again in a heartbeat though. She said it wasn't as bad as you'd think..

cherrycola86 · 12/02/2014 11:18

ah Lyndsey I'm jealous I remember when I was pregnant with DC1 and could just sleep in all day if i wanted..could get away with hoovering and tidying once a week as was just me in the house (OH was out working alot) and generally just do what I felt like..bliss Grin! This time round however rough I feel still have to do school run, clean, cook tea, homework, bedtime..And DC1 is 7 and does most things herself which helps. Really don't know how you ladies with little little ones cope with pregnancy! You rock Smile !
I've been having periods of regular contractions/period cramps/ backache since my due date 10 days ago, usually in the evening and a couple of times I've gone to bed convinced I would be in full labour during the night..then woke up to nothing Confused ! gutted! However I did feel a little better when I saw the midwife and she said I was all ready to go into labour and dilating..Least I know the pains weren't for nothing!Least I'll be some of the way there when I go in to be induced on Friday (Have convinced myself nothing will happen naturally before then in the hope baby will be tricked by reverse psychology attempts and will decide to show up before Grin )

Also getting the superstron movements and last night for what felt like hours, I could feel his legs (long thin-ish things) moving about! Today as well he's been going crazy, and it makes me jump - not great when out driving :P

Also can't sleep, used to be breathless on my back all the way from week 16, but now it's on the sides too. I can sleep on the side little one is not lying in, but when he moves I wake up feeling sicky and have to turn over. Get so stiff from lying still!

I didn't actually know you could get dilated without going in to actual labour! I assumed if it didn't continue from 3-4 cm then you would be induced straight away! Have also had some brief period pains, but they could be just IBS as it feels similar -.-

Lyndsey get bouncing, girl!

HopeS01 · 12/02/2014 13:11

Littleen, I thought the same about dilation. I was very surprised that I've almost reached 4cm after hearing so many stories about women in labour being sent home because they are not yet 4cm!
I just keep telling myself that this long delay is worth it, because i'll be half way there when I eventually go in Wink

lyndsey90 · 12/02/2014 15:02

TMII.... I've just had a bit of a 'show'.... I think that's what people call it lol. Yucky brown/clear discharge?....

Littleen · 12/02/2014 15:21

That's a good way to see it, Hope :)

Lyndsey I think that's it! Hopefully something will happen soon!

Still nothing at all here

HopeS01 · 12/02/2014 18:18

Lyndsey, sounds exactly like it! Mine seemed endless and has been coming for 3 days now!

lyndsey90 · 12/02/2014 18:41

Ugh, just been loo again and more, but with more red as well. Literally been on birthing ball all day, been sat playing some co-op game with the OH rocking about for a couple of hour with back aches.

Anyone getting spooked by this awful wind at the moment? It's playing with the electric in areas near me, luckily I'm ok at the moment. Other people have been complaining about lights flickering and such...

HopeS01 · 12/02/2014 21:39

We've had a few power cuts here but the longest one only lasted 4 hours so I'm counting myself lucky... For now! I hope none of you have any troubles.

As long as the blood isn't "fresh" I think that's normal Smile. If it is bright red or less gloopy I'd give your MW a call x

Hey all, just popping in to share this link!! I think it is genius!

lyndsey90 · 12/02/2014 23:44

Yep, that link is a genius haha.

Libee · 13/02/2014 09:49

Morning all as usual haven't logged on for a while. Congratulations to the mums who already had their babies.

I feel that these Feb are just too lazy to come out soon although I am not complaining as I am still working last day tomorrow can't wait to put my feet up.

I am 39+1 today and don't think the baby will come out till next Sunday (my prediction) as my first one was the same.

Good luck and sending you positive vibes to everyone who are in labour.

BellaBooo · 13/02/2014 09:52

Welcome Cherry and Hope Smile

Hope all is going well for anyone at the beginnings of something!

Can anyone tell me if it's worth buying nipple shields before the baby comes? The thing is, they come in different sizes. Will my measurements today be the same as when my milk comes in? It's all so confusing!

HopeS01 · 13/02/2014 10:18

Thanks Bella, I have some but FTM so I have no if they'll be any use "blush"
