We've now welcomed mini sun, dawn, kat, zazou and selfies (please tell me I haven't missed anyone...)....who will be next?!

Those of us waiting impatiently will be showing down on dates, pineapple, RLT and curry while having awkward whale sex.

loves 12 weeks? [tired face] At least she sleeps all day so I can nap when she does.

shrops I shall personally write to Samsung to ask that they fix teach me how to use their autocorrect thingy. And also to explain that Perry is not the same as percy. Could have been worse though, it's now trying to autocorrect it as Perch.

sunflowered · 02/02/2014 10:12

P's eeyore hope you manage to get a bit of rest today or that the mw can give you some useful tips (or just a bit of venting time) later

Artisticme · 02/02/2014 11:03

Aaah totally fallen off the thread!! Not much to report here, 38+3 an feeling rather fed up! Had my third iron drip yesterday as levels still havnt come up enough for me to deliver at a mlu:( 3 is apparently the maximum they can give so really hoping this one works. Definatley felt like a bit of a pin cushion this pregnancy!! Also been having some serious lightening these last few days!! To the poor of tearing up its so painful! Really hoping (although I know unlikely) it's a sign of labour approaching as I have 2 weddings in the next 2 weeks and it would be great not to have to purchase 2 seperate outfits I will probably never wear again!

bugsy we're due date buddies!!:) how have you been feeling?

Also all the lovely ladies who have already had they're bundles:) is there anything you wish you'd packed in your hospital bags or really didn't need?

This threads going to start getting busy with all the baby news!! So exciting and surreal that February is finally here!!:)

winterflowers · 02/02/2014 12:48

Another ridiculously hormonal mess here as well. Was talking to ex-OH the other day and it set me off in tears for ages. Bleeeeurgh.

shrops your day sounds so fun! Would love to be doing that now and it makes me so glad that our LOs will be so ready for lots of out and about adventures come summer.

I've also had a home bp machine for ages and it is super reassuring to be able to check up on how I'm doing. My bp is actually way lower now than it ever has been, would be great to stay like that!

Hope that all the new mummies with nocturnal babies are managing to get some sleep in the day with them! And I love your steal a nurse plan sunflowered, make sure you keep on imparting all her wisdom!

LovesToBake · 02/02/2014 13:19

Sunflowered, sorry I should have said that obviously it got incrementally better every week, but by 12 weeks he was down to one feed in the early hours (which the greedy guzzler kept up until I finally had the balls to refuse him around 7.5 months after which he slept through the night). I remember the feeds got shorter and more efficient and then the settling back to sleep (for us both) got easier so even if the feeds were still 3-hourly, there was time for a good 2-2.5hr snooze between each one.

My DS was born at 37+4 which is tomorrow for me this pregnancy. I know it's highly unlikely, but I can't help myself from hoping tomorrow will be the day! Have to keep reminding myself that I could have several more weeks to go and I haven't had a single twinge yet so I'd better stay patient and keep filling my diary with nice things to look forward to!

EeyoreIsh · 02/02/2014 19:50

loves more efficient feeds sounds amazing. I'm exhausted now, was having a nap when FIL phoned and woke me Angry I'm not looking forward to tonight.

The good news is that today's 6 day appointment went well, she's putting on enough weight and I'm healing well.

artistic I hope your iron levels rise soon.

lastnightopenedmyeyes · 02/02/2014 20:17

Artisticme I needed more pyjama bottoms as I leaked blood through mine within an hour of wearing them, (make sure you buy dark ones). And many more knickers for sane reason. I was only in for 20 hours including overnight stay and I needed more than the 4 pants I took.
Lots of stuff wasn't used but you just don't know til you get in really.

lastnightopenedmyeyes · 02/02/2014 20:21

Nocturnal here too. This is only night 3 and if she's like DS I have 8 months of sleep deprivation ahead of me but I'm ready this time!!

Milk came in early hours of this morning so mw thinks she will feed less constantly tonight. We shall see. She's at it now! I've not napped in the day yet as no real chance yet, and only slept for 7 hours in the past 72 so I'm hoping she will do better tonight Grin

Littleen · 02/02/2014 21:11

Julietee Woop we have ready baked babies! :D

I had a "good" nights sleep last night and managed about 7-8 hours I think! Not in one stretch ofcourse, but it's still great!

Ladybird Sorry to hear about your husbands gran, fingers crossed she will make it to meet your baby :)

lastnight Hope you get some sleep tonight, you must be shattered x

lastnightopenedmyeyes · 02/02/2014 22:50

I've just had a whole hour of uninterrupted, night time sleep. And I feel invincible. Had a dream and everything!! GrinGrin

Olivia has been asleep since 8.30.

Littleen · 03/02/2014 01:16

Glad to hear you got a good nap, lastnight!

On to a slightly embarrassing question; My fouf, which has never been particularly big if that makes sense, have suddenly decided to close business completely. It's always gotten tighter when I've not had sex for a while (hurts a bit and can be difficult to get uhm, my OH's equipment in) - however for the last few weeks it hurts to even put a finger in! Been using BV fouf rockets for the last week, and every time it's hurt when putting them in... Should really not be like that. Anyone else got this issue? Thinking it could be pregnancy related, or not. No idea. Blush

volvocowgirl · 03/02/2014 02:26

Littleen, read in a few books that in sone people its can swell and get more sensitive around now - usually with the suggestion that this will make sex superdooper - but not read anywhere that it might hurt at all.
Maybe speak to the midwife? Hope it's nothing serious and you're pain free soon (even if that only lasts until you drop Wink)

lastnightopenedmyeyes · 03/02/2014 03:40

Definitely talk to midwife Littleen and tell me, what in the world are BV fouf rockets?? GrinBlush

volvocowgirl · 03/02/2014 03:45

Bacterial vaginosis pessaries?

sunflowered · 03/02/2014 04:39

Nurse just told me to go to sleep and not to indulge the baby in 2 hr latching on battles feeding sessions or I'll be exhausted. This leaves me thinking she obviously hasn't heard of the 4 am club. And now I don't have to go to work tired any more a 2 hr midnight wake up feels like nothing!

Glad you got a bit of a rest lastnight - hopefully you've managed a bit more since you posted.

HarlemWobble · 03/02/2014 08:40

Was just about to google BV four rockets then saw your post Volvo, you've saved me the embarrassment of having that on my search history! Grin

First day of mat leave for me today! I'm up and dressed, and now sat on MN! I've got a few bits to do around the house to keep me occupied but other than that, I just plan to veg on the sofa with tea and biscuits. Bliss!

Shrops sorry about he cracked rib but great news that you don't have PE. Hope you're not kept in overture limbo land for too long (unless you want to be of course!)

Jazz I'm glad you've managed to speak to your parents about visiting. It's such a sensitive issue especially with the first grandchild, but I think at times you do need to put yours and DHs needs first. Everyone says how precious those first few days are just the 3 of you, so IMO you're definitely doing the right thing.

Hope all the new mummies and babies are doing well!

HarlemWobble · 03/02/2014 08:41

Four=fouf obvs!

EeyoreIsh · 03/02/2014 09:19

Morning fellow preggos/sleep deprived mums Brew

sunflower I've just had a two hour feeding session, she's snoozing on my knee now but angling for more. It's so hard to refuse her demands though.

She did sleep for over three hours last night though Smile it was bliss. She slept on DH while I slept, we still haven't mastered sleeping in a cot though.

We're venturing into town soon, she's worked her way through all the nappies! I'm going to invest in some more primarni vest tops, as mine are getting covered in milk. Then if she's still behaving we'll go onto introduce her to her 96 year old great grandfather, which will be lovely.

Littleen · 03/02/2014 10:35

Haha, well I had a bit of bacterical vaginosis, bought a kit of "pills" to put up there :P they look like rockets! I doubt you will find it on google, haha!

Eeyeore Glad to hear you got some sleep :) Have you tried swaddling her in the cot? Everyone I talk to here tell me babies love it (though I thought it seems a bit claustrophobic) :)

CubanoHabana · 03/02/2014 11:02

Loving the ideas of fouf rockets!

Julietee · 03/02/2014 11:14

What do you do when you're exhausted and the baby has fallen asleep on you? Is it super dangerous to fall asleep too? I can foresee this being a problem.

notoneforselfies · 03/02/2014 11:17

If the baby has fallen asleep on you and you're in danger of doing the same I'd personally put him down in his crib. Unless someone was there and reliably awake to supervise! Just in case...

Julietee · 03/02/2014 11:22

Yeah. I'm worrying panicking about all this sleep stuff.

LovesToBake · 03/02/2014 11:28

I'd do the same as LastNight suggested - I adore having a sleeping baby snuggled up on me, but if I was really tired and wanted to have a nap myself, I'd transfer into the Moses basket or pram or a nest of cushions on the sofa before making myself comfy. They'll make themselves heard loud and clear when they wake up for a feed so you shouldn't need to worry about missing signals or anything.

I was similarly intrigued by fouf rockets!

LovesToBake · 03/02/2014 11:30

Oops, I meant the same as NotOne...
