We've now welcomed mini sun, dawn, kat, zazou and selfies (please tell me I haven't missed anyone...)....who will be next?!

Those of us waiting impatiently will be showing down on dates, pineapple, RLT and curry while having awkward whale sex.

Hi all,

Posted on FB that I'm being induced tomorrow due to high BP and protein in water (+ the fact I'm 41w)

Although this is DC3 I haven't ever been induced... does anyone have any advice/ or tips? Is there anything extra I need in hospital bag?

Sorry for me post... hope everyone is well Smile

marzipanned · 25/01/2014 16:40

Littleen it's totally normal to feel disconnected like that...I don't think anything can be done about it...you just have to ride it out. And let your OH know that's how you're feeling but it's nothing to do with him. That way he can support you from afar, as it were.

Poop sorry no experience here but somany has been induced twice, not sure how much she looks at this thread but she will probably see your FB post :)

I am in the same two minds about snow - love it and we finally got round to putting winter tyres on the car (was in the garage anyway so seemed a bit silly not to) but trying to get to hospital in rush hour in the snow would be a true nightmare!

This time last year we were snowed in... Really don't want snow until after baby is here - gets really bad here and I would just worry!

Stopdropnroll · 25/01/2014 17:42

Hi all can I join you please? I'm due my first on 1st Feb so I'm 39 weeks today and just want the little bundle to arrive now but really think she's going to keep us waiting for a bit longer.

Bumpiemalumpie · 25/01/2014 18:10

Congratulations bumpie! Welcome to stop, and poop - wrt induction there's nothing extra you need for your bag. Just be open minded about pain relief, I think it will depend very much on how they start off. If it's straight onto the syntocinon drip just be aware that there isn't really much of a chance to build up the contractions, they just tend to hit hard...so just chat to them about pain management would be my advice but I'm sure (esp as this is your third) that it will be plain sailing. Best of luck! X

PoopPoooDeDooo · 25/01/2014 20:47

Thanks lastnight Smile Hoping todays sweep might get me far enough for ARM... we shall see!

glitterhoops · 25/01/2014 21:16

poop remember it can take up to an hour for the anaesthetist to be available, better to book them a bit early - that way you can always send them away if you don't need them. However if you do need pain immediately, then they won't come if they are busy.

ohhhhpieceofcandy · 25/01/2014 21:18

Congratulations Bumpie! Phew, 30hrs back to back - bet he's worth it though Grin

Welcome stop!

gnittinggnome · 25/01/2014 23:32

Bumpie congratulations!

Sassy20 · 25/01/2014 23:50

Congratulations Bumpie. Well done as sounds like a hard labour. X

EeyoreIsh · 26/01/2014 06:39

Congratulations bumpie!

36 hours of contractions here and no baby! Still at home waiting for them to ramp up enough to go in. Really hoping baby arrives today, if no sign by this afternoon the plan is to go to the main hospital (as opposed to local MLU) and ask for drip and epidural. But I would rather baby made a move on its own accord after all this work!

BellaBooo · 26/01/2014 08:55

Congrats Bumpie!

Good luck Eeyore sending you lots of positive get baby out vibes! Grin

ch1134 · 26/01/2014 09:06

bugsyburge · 26/01/2014 10:43

Eeeek!!!!

jazzcat28 · 26/01/2014 11:36

Congrats bumpie! Well done Eeyore on progressing so well at home. Fingers crossed you get to meet your baby today! So exciting all these births!

37wks today and ECV consultation tomorrow. DH and I had our all day NCT class yesterday which was exhausting but good. Got to know more of our class too and feeling confident about meeting up with them over the coming weeks and months.
