Awww twinkle I'm very emotional today but so lovely to read your bump updates...bought a tear to my eye.

I didn't feel proper movement till week 24-26! I had the placenta cushioning her kicks at the front. Also she was a lazy chilled baby who didn't move much till week 28.

TT division went well. Horrible to watch. She bled a little. I cried a lot. We had plenty of skin to skin and cuddles after. She struggled to latch when we came home and I panicked when she simply refused the breast. But we persevered with more skin to skin and she just latched on beautifully for a feed. The first pain free feed I have had. I cried because it was so lovely to see her feeding well and suckling so gently instead of clamping. Did I mention I was very emotional today! She's also 12 weeks today. I love her so much I'm going to explode Smile

Twinkle I think was about 24 weeks before I had any regular, big movements

Red that was so lovely to read and made me all teary :) ds1 and ds2 both had tongue tie but I never had it snipped as I switched to ff after neither could latch on bf. kind of wish I had persevered but heyho. Ds1 is perfect eating and talking and can absolutely lick an ice cream :) so no worries there!

I am so so broody it's killing me!!! And it doesn't help that dh is totally up for having another! Eek maybe there will be a 4th chops after all.

twinklestar2 · 28/03/2014 21:03

Aww red, bless!

number 4?! Wow!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 29/03/2014 22:23

Hi everyone, I've been out of action mumsnet wise for a little bit (dc's have had none stop colds).

twinkle so glad the scan went well and v impressed you resisted looking at the sex

wee poor little chops glad everything is ok but that must have been horrible. Can't believe you are broody again Smile

Hi to everyone alex, red, mrs Bri, ted, resipsa

Alexandra6 · 02/04/2014 06:45

A 4th wee?!? Even though I love mini Alex to bits, I'm scared about having a 2nd! Shock I genuinely don't know how people cope with a baby when there is an older one to deal with too! I also worry about the population growing too much, I think I carry the weight of the world sometimes!

Glad the feeding is going well now red and well done for being brave - I would have been emotional too!

All good with me - in my news, mini Alex has started rolling over (she can't roll back though so gets struck on her front!) and we've booked three holidays (2 in Europe, one to Mauritius in Oct) yay.

We'd settled into a sleep routine of bed at 7.30ish, feed at 2am and feed at 5am. Last few nights though, she's been harder to get to sleep, including after overnight feeds, and she's started the day after her second feed at 5am! Does that sound like 4 month regression to you? She's bang on 16 weeks. Am fully aware it could be worse and please don't let it get worse!! Yawn. The worst thing is that a dummy will get her back to sleep even if she fights sleep, but she can't keep a dummy in and keeps spitting it out so I have to gently hold it in place - is that mean?! I don't think she hates the dummy as she sometimes searches it out with her tongue after spitting it out?!

Alexandra6 · 02/04/2014 06:46

Oh and ted I can't live without my GHDs so I will have to somehow find time for them eek!

kittykatsforever · 04/04/2014 20:44

Ahhh I missed this thread but we've not had much action on it have we?!?
Red your post is lovely had me welling, I'm so pleased its worked for you and her, now you can see the difference with feeding I hope it will give you the confidence to venture out and contine. It's a totally different experience if they do it well. I stoped a few weeks back, dd2 was just under 10 months and I was going back to work but she wasn't bothered by that point and we were down to one, it marked the end of baby though and I'm with you wee, if it wasn't crazy and work wouldn't mind I'd be pregnant again now, I love them and being a mum so much it drives me crazy, your words were so right red Smile
Winkle so looking forward to all your updates, I'm sure it won't be long till baby twiks is having a disco!
How is everyone else? Dd2 will be 1 next month and I'm back at work! How can this all be?!?!
I'll update with new cutie pics for you all on fb and I want to see some new ones!! X

Alexandra6 · 07/04/2014 16:47

You guys dropped off my active list! How's everyone doing?

twinklestar2 · 08/04/2014 00:13

Hi all

Does the baby kicking feel like little thuds inside you?

22 and a half week now! I just can't wait to meet this little one! We're sorting out the nursery this week, so exciting!

What pushchair did everyone go for? Any recommendations? The prices are astronomical!

RedRobin1 · 08/04/2014 19:22

Mine felt like she was throwing some punches however she was more of a wriggler and felt like a giant worm going left to right Hmm just weird!

We went for the stokke Xplory as it was the only one to match our criteria: 1-must fit in the boot, 2-must be able to easily fold, 3-must be light enough to be lifted into boot as I have no upper body strength. It's the best thing we bought Smile love the height on it especially with my caesarean meant less bending and easy on the back!

Oooooo decorating the nursery is so exciting! Hope you are keeping well and resting and taking time to put your feet up Smile

Twinks how are you doing? How are the kicks coming along?

How is everyone else doing?

Dd is changing so fast and has a very loud personality. She squeals with excitement when she sees us Smile also had a first giggle this week! Love the sound Smile

weechops · 16/04/2014 09:22

Aw twinkle it feels amazing doesn't it :)

We went for stokke crusi. Big comfy pram part and like red says, it's high up so no bending :)

Littlest chops going for his 3rd set of jags today boo :(

kittykatsforever · 17/04/2014 10:53

Poor little wee Hmm i hate the jabs!
How old is dd now red?
Dd2 is 1 next month Shock

twinklestar2 · 17/04/2014 12:22

hello all!

24 weeks today; 16 weeks to go! So exciting!

Love hearing about your babies and what they are up to, makes me even more excited about mine :)

We are trying to draw up a shortlist of baby girls names (boy's names is sorted). It's so hard! There are so many pretty baby girls names to choose from.

Nursery is coming along nicely - need help though... well more like an opinion! The walls are painted aquamarine, a lovely blue-green which suits either sex. Any idea what bedding / curtains, etc we should go for?

kittykatsforever · 17/04/2014 19:45

Do you mean colour or sets or what you need winkle?
Bedding wise the only thing I've used until dd1 was about 18 months was a waterproof matress cover and fitted sheet and a gro bag
We also don't have curtains in the nursery just a cream black out blind
Are you starting to get obvious movements now?

twinklestar2 · 17/04/2014 22:11

Both kitty!

Def feeling stuff now! Bubbles and thuds and swishing!

wishfulthinking1 · 19/04/2014 20:33

Hi all- I know I totally dropped off the radar- my glorious son, Peter, is 1 tomorrow! I've been thinking lots today about when I started ttc and I thought I'd look you all up. So happy to see continued good news- twinkle, I LOVED that baby kicking feeling!

tedmundo · 26/04/2014 13:24

Happy birthday Peter!

Where have the past 2 yrs gone hey?

L is 13.5 months, he is a joy. Big bros adore him. He is asleep right now, big ones making a den in their room and dh doing DIY. I was thinking of you all so thought I would catch up. We are all being so quiet now! Although it took me ages to sort out my password reset due to updated email account and other boring tech stuff. Still, it is sorted now.

Twinks.. Teal? I love a strong blue next to a gentle one. Or pink if a girl. My bedroom is blue and pink (it does work, honest!!)

I hope you all had a good Easter. L loves chocolate (that's my boy!) and demolished any shell offered to him. We found him clutching a piece after raiding the larder! We call him the pig from a squash and a squeeze!

tedmundo · 26/04/2014 14:14

Also twinkle, don't go mad on cellular blankets as you are having a summer baby and they move into gro bags so quickly you won't get the use of them. We had a few flat sheets to go between the baby and the blanket which helped reduce them being kicked off.

I also asked for a really nice pram blanket for a gift from mil for each one to keep as a memento. Mamas and papas do gorgeous ones. The m and p Harriet hare is still ds1 cherished cuddle toy.

twinklestar2 · 26/04/2014 22:12

Hey wishful! Happy birthday to your baby boy :)

Ted I have brought a couple of sleeping bags. Does baby sleep in cot with a fitted sheet, then clothed in a baby grow and then in the sleeping bag?

tedmundo · 27/04/2014 08:34

Yes, that is how we do it. Fitted sheet, dressed for bed, in baby grow, zipped into gro bag.

Actually, now he is bigger and the weather warmer, he wears PJs so he feet are bare. I hate having hot feet in bed so assume he must be the same!

Have you de tagged your sleep bags yet? If not, check out tk maxx as they stock branded bags for half the rrp. We have branded gro bags snapped up for £12.99.

Are you going to squueze one more holiday in before the baby comes? We did a few last gasp trips to Europe when I was pregnant with E. Including Krakow and an ill advised visit to Auschwitz whilst 5 months pregnant. I cried A LOT.

twinklestar2 · 28/04/2014 23:27

Thanks ted!

I got this which is a bargain: www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/sp+rainbow-baby-sleeping-bag-25-tog-in-baby-sleeping-bags+a7672

Is 2.5 tog ok for an august baby?

If anything we will do a UK holiday - I'm too nervous to fly pregnant!!

tedmundo · 30/04/2014 21:49

Wow twinks that is a proper bargain. God I love a good saving. You did good there!

I have got a 1 tog that we used in gran canaria and also here when it was super hot. It was helpful to have it. I think he will still fit in it this year too as I got the 6 to 18 month ones.

Let's hope it is hot enough to need it. We are off to Cornwall as soon as school finishes in July so maybe no flying for us either this year :( I do love a bit of foreign sunshine. It just feels nicer! Less sticky I think.

I had a bad flight coming back to the UK when 9 weeks pregnant with L. Puked A LOT, to the disgust of the very stylish old lady next to me. Until I explained why I was so sick and then she could not have been nicer. Morning sickness is clearly a good ice breaker!

Are you having a good pregnancy though? Any Spd? I never got this but have friends who did. One was on crutches by the end poor love.

twinklestar2 · 30/04/2014 23:17

Everything I've brought so far has been in the sale - means I can buy twice as much.... :)

I've brought a 1 tog but for 6-12 months (another bargain!) but maybe it will be too cold to use it...

I've been really lucky,I've had a good pregnancy and baby has been spot on on all measurements to date. Very happy and blessed :)
