Hello ladies.. the previous thread is almost full so I thought it's time to move on to a new one to mark the start of trimester 2. Here's to fewer bouts of sickness and more "glowing" all around!

I have scan on Thursday at bang on 12 weeks, anyone else? :)

catameringue · 28/09/2013 15:25

So many people have had scans and I've only just had my booking appointment!

She noted my pcos and said I needed an additional blood test later, but otherwise bmi ok at 27.

I ate 12 slices of garlic bread yesterday. Is that weird??

Felt a bit miserable this week as boobs have grown into udders, tummy expanding

ChocChaffinch · 28/09/2013 19:34

my boobs are sore my belly button is now like a coat peg... eating far too much crap... ah phooey

nevergoogle · 28/09/2013 20:16

first trimester done on monday.
had massive surge in hormones at 10 weeks making me horribly nauseated and tired, and hair and skin went greasy.
settling a bit now although grazing constantly and unable to eat proper meals.
no weight gain for the first trimester although feeling bloated.
booking appointments all done and scan due on monday.
fingers crossed for good news.

Hi all
Feeling crappily nauseous again today :( just fed up of it tbh. Had a worrisome moment earlier when couldn't find the hb, but dh managed it after I'd been trying for ages and we heard it beating away and moving too :) so it's out on Facebook.

Scan is next Friday and I can't wait for the first trimester to be over a week today! Right, I'm off to get my evening porridge before heartburn takes hold.

hello
New to this thread and to mumsnet in general...have heard great things tho. :)
Baby #3 due end of April-ish...still awating scan. Hoping everything is ok.
Feel like crap! Running around after a DS aged 3 and DS aged 18 months.
Brave or crazy...we will see but definately excited and in love already. Nice to read others are feeling the same, tho would not wish the yucky/exhausted mess that is me, on anyone right now.
Hope everyone gets a good night sleep tonight. Finding it hard to sleep from 3am already...anyone else find the same??

nevergoogle · 28/09/2013 21:00

hey ted, and welcome.
I'm awake for a while every night too.
Number 3 on the way too, but have been very used to full nights sleep for a long time as my other two are 9 and 6.
Going to be a shock to the system.

ChocChaffinch · 28/09/2013 21:04

no 3 here too...and my 2 are 7 and 5!! going from easy life to vvv challenging life............

TedandFred · 28/09/2013 21:12

Yeah I have heard its tough going from one extreme to the other. My thoughts were more like quick get #3 in or ill get to comfy and not want to ever go back to babyhood!!
Wanted 3 bad too so that helped. :)
By my dates I'm around 10+3, how about you ChocChaffinch and nevergoogle?

ChocChaffinch · 28/09/2013 21:14

BartBaby · 29/09/2013 08:09

Hello ladies Smile

I've missed so much while I was away!! I've been lurking occasionally but don't think I will be able to read through all 11 pages of the new thread Blush but I will try to be better at this from now on....

Welcome to all the newbies. There's so many of us here now Smile and well done to all the lovely ladies that have had their scans! I've got mine tomorrow and just can't wait.

My sickness all but went away while on holiday, but is back now I'm home. Obviously my body just prefers being on holiday! Grin I'm 12+5 now though so hopefully the end is in sight. I have managed to find baby's heartbeat on my doppler thing though so that is very reassuring. It's been much easier the last couple of times. Can't wait to see baby Bart tomorrow.

I really love the idea of the one on one midwifes. But I'm in the north east so doubt they are in my area. I didnt like my midwife last time. Don't even remember the midwife in the hospital! And am not keen on my one this time. Although she is an improvement on the last one so its a step in the right direction!

BeansAndCheese · 29/09/2013 08:27

I feel like I'm coming to the end of a really tired and arsey phase. Been a bit of a cow recently although I'm not admitting that to dh. My dd seems to be snapping out of an awkward toddler phase too

BeansAndCheese · 29/09/2013 08:36

Yes bart they are spreading east, but I dont thank they have gone much past greater Manchester yet. Loads of independent midwives are joining the company because of the legislation that will mean they cant facilitate home birth any more.

catameringue · 29/09/2013 08:59

Choc - I'm also worse from 4pm onwards, sickness wise.

I haven't been eating enough, though since Friday the sickness has reduced enough for my appetite to return, and I haven't stopped eating.

Dh has taken to calling me 'queen' due to my demands.

Nessalina · 29/09/2013 10:52

Hey there ladies Smile I've had a miserable few weeks of feeling very sick indeed, although only chucking up once a day usually. Been a bit of a ghost, mainly going to work then flomping in the evening. Not even been on MN much!! Not wanted to see a lot of my friends because I was very vocal about us trying so they're bound to ask, and now we're so close to scan I really just want to make sure all is good before telling anyone else!
Scan booked for 11th Oct so counting down the minutes. Having the NT at same time so all a bit nerve wracking. Can't wait to stop feeling so sick and tired and begin GLOWING!!
10 + 4 Smile

PrincessKitKat · 29/09/2013 12:13

Hi All
New to the thread - I didn't want to join until I'd had my scan. But all is well & my wiggly bean was body-popping away!
Dated at 12+6 today (DD 7 April) and feeling so much better than I have been but I'm now prone to outbursts of OTT rage and OTT crying. DH can't deal with his normally fairly calm and rational wife turning into a crazed Babyzilla Smile
It's my first. I'm very emotional!!

Cannotbelieveit · 29/09/2013 15:15

Welcome princess! This thread is getting loads more members now! Xx

BeansAndCheese · 29/09/2013 15:33

Hi princess I cried the other because I had to cook dinner and I was tired! Wtf?

mamapants · 29/09/2013 17:32

Ha ha I remember the random crying from first pregnancy. I cried while driving home from work because I didn't know what to have for dinner!
Not really had any this time, but pregnancy very different this time so far.
Got midwife appt on tues. Blood tests and maybe listen for heartbeat.
Still not had letter with scan date so will have to ask about that. Getting impatient now!
I am not sleeping well but that is because DS is an awful sleeper.
Am starting to gain weight now, looking more solid round the middle still fitting in my clothes though.
DS finally seems to be eating more food and feeding less in the daytime which is a bit of a relief, was picturing having to feed round the clock when no. 2 arrives.

LightTripper · 29/09/2013 17:57

Hello and welcome new peeps!!

I will probably regret saying this but the horrible taste in my mouth has really faded quite a bit, and there were a good couple of hours this afternoon when I really didn't feel sick at all... Shock

So either I'm allergic to London, and must go back to the seaside immediately, or just maybe maybe it is starting to lift. Now it's evening I am starting to feel a bit rubbish again and my stomach is making UNBELIEVABLE noises. Blush But it was so lovely to just have a little bit of normal back... After more than a month of non stop queasy I had almost forgotten what that was like! Grin

wendle70 · 29/09/2013 18:20

Hello all! Ha me too I was in the countryside this weekend and was worried about car journey/ how to hide morning sickness from bf's 2 girls and his mum...but was fine! Not sick! Clearly I am also allergic to London...

Of course now I'm a little worried I feel better (crazy lady). Got early 10 week scan on Thurs anyway ..thinking of all you ladies having scans this week.

Still laughing about weird places to throw up thread!

Have a good week all :)
