Good to hear Wibbly! I just had mine too - all good and healthy. They reckon he's weighing about 4 pounds 13oz at the moment (32 weeks exactly) which is apparently above average but 'not big' according to the sonographer... hmmmm. I guess it all depends when he decides to show up :-)

Wibblypiglikesbananas · 06/09/2013 20:25

Great news Cornish - it's weird to see the pictures looking so baby like now, isn't it?

CuteLittleToes · 06/09/2013 21:02

Aww Wibbly, I'm sure it'll turn!

I had my 28 week appointment this week (well, I'm actually 29 weeks), and mw after touching my belly scribbled in my notes "cephalic". I wonder how can they tell? When I touch it I can't really tell where is the head or bum... I knew it was head down, but only because I could feel the feet wedged into my ribs, actually very uncomfortably today Grin

mycatlikestwiglets · 07/09/2013 16:15

Hi all, just checking back in for an update. Very Envy to hear that some of you are having extra scans! Although having said that I might get one if the baby doesn't turn by my next mw appointment in 2 weeks - nearly 33 weeks now and she's very firmly transverse with no signs of getting in a better position! In fact her feet seem to be implanted on my bladder based on the constant need for toilet breaks I've been experiencing Blush.

Like a lot of you, I've bought nothing for this baby yet and am starting to feel a bit frantic in case she comes early, although at least I still have all DS' newborn stuff so we'll certainly manage. Need to buy some nappies though!

CuteLittleToes · 07/09/2013 21:09

We've bought a pram today! Yay!

It's Graco Evo, stroller + baby car seat.

Went to Kiddicare just to have a look, as so far we've been only researching online, but I thought we need to actually go and try out and see what feels best. But after trying out different ones, we decided to just go for it. They also had 15% off offer, which ends on Monday, so it turned out a really good buy.

Really pleased with this pram! The baby must know, as is overexcited as well and just keeps constantly moving and kicking me in the ribs!

Just popped over from the Facebook group (which is still welcoming new members) to see if there's any news on our eldest baby. How is it going Heart we're all still thinking of you and mini heart x

honey86 · 10/09/2013 11:13

i was wondering the same thing Smile hope theyre both well x

harverina · 10/09/2013 19:52

Yeah I have also been checking to see if there is any more news. Hope you and baby are ok heart.

I had my 32 weeks scan today and it was great. Saw baby opening their mouth and closing it again GrinGrinGrin growth wise we seem on track to have a baby of a similar size to dd.

That's me now until I haven't 36 week check. Anyone else have a c section last time and considering their options for this birth?

CheeseandGherkins · 12/09/2013 10:42

Hello, not been on in an age! Could I join the fb group and how please? I'm currently 31+3 and still on insulin for my gestational diabetes. Think baby is breech and should be delivering around 36 weeks if things continue as they are but I have a lot of doubts and worries. Not sure I can manage being induced again, contemplating asking for a section and half thinking about homebirth but I'm v high risk and had a stillbirth nearly 3 years ago at 37 weeks.

Currently scared of everything and wanting the baby out safely. I'm now in for weekly ctgs and also weekly consultant appointments.

Hello! Gosh - sorry it's taken me so long to update you all... life is a little bit hectic, and when we get home from the hospital each day we just race straight to bed (a long time ago we used to do that for another reason...Grin).

Babyheart is doing rather well, thank you all for asking Smile. He is in Special Care now, and weighs 1.5kg - in English money that's 3lb 5oz. He came off his Vapotherm about 2 weeks ago, onto Nasal Canula oxygen, and this week has spent about 8 hours 'in air' as he was starting to be very stable with oxygen saturation.

He moved house on Saturday, into a cot with a heated mattress, and they took away the heated mattress on Tuesday as he was getting too warm. It's much easier to get at him in the cot, although it's much lower than the incubator and I have a really awful back at the moment.

Today has been epic so far, as last night they moved him onto 3 hourly feeds, to help him be more awake. And he has. When I phoned at my 3am express time, he was wailing away in the background because he was hungry, poor mite. Then also today, the lovely nurse helped me have him to breast for the first time. That was an experience for both of us! He was mildly interested, and opened his mouth well, and even sucked a bit, but as his suck/swallow/breathe coordination isn't developed yet, he got a bit out of breath. The nurse tube fed him while he was on me, to help him associate full tummy with Mummy, and when we were just cuddling after he started wailing away, and the nurse had disappeared. I didn't know what to do!! So I popped him back in his cot and tucked him up and ran away to have lunch. Poor boy.

Emotionally I'm still up and down and this week I'm contending with the return of AF - poo. Another thing to write on my list of things-you-miss-out-on-by-having-a-premature-baby!

Do hope you're all okay, and that the next few weeks fly by safely for you all. It's means a lot to know you're all rooting for us Smile. We've got a few more weeks to go in here yet, and then when we get home we'll have to start all over again. That's why I laughed out loud when the Midwife asked whether our contraception was sorted...

PS - whoever it was upthread that bought a Graco Evo... good choice. That's what we went with. When we'll get to use it I have no idea, but it looks great sitting forlornly in the corner of the spare bedroom/study/dumping ground/nursery...
