Good luck Weebarra, I hope all is well.

The TT pumps into a TT bottle. But you can pour from that into the storage bags. Doesn't matter which brand they are. They don't attach to the pump as such

Readytosettle · 29/07/2013 17:14

Hi ladies, I've just added a load of NCT handouts to fb which might be useful for those feeling like they're a bit in the dark about labour choices etc...

Kittenkatzen · 29/07/2013 18:38

Good luck weebarra, let us know how you get on

fl0b0t · 29/07/2013 18:38

Thanks ready very useful!

Still got a bit odd a tummy bug. Stupidly went to work today. ... should have stayed in bed!

Dorita75 · 29/07/2013 19:24

flobot you should have stayed at home! I did today after last week's food poisoning, still felt shattered this morning even though stomach is back to normal-ish. Read something about the baby being okay when you're not well but takes us longer to get over things.

I got bf bags in Home Bargains, £1.99.

weebarra · 29/07/2013 20:00

Been in hospital since about 4, but blood pressure has gone way down, so not going to have to stay in. They did a trace on baby who is very active. Also looked like I was having a few wee contractions but nothing major.
Just waiting for blood results to come back, then home - I'm starving!

Kittenkatzen · 29/07/2013 20:28

That's good news wee, hope you home (and some dinner!) soon Smile

Thanks very much for the h&m tshirt dress tips...bought two today and currently lolling on the sofa wearing one whilst waiting for dinner to cook! Sooooo comfy!

JammyTummy · 29/07/2013 21:22

I'm so intrigued by this mythical tshirt dress everyone keeps talking about!

Think I'm Braxton hicksing this evening. Had a moment of fear earlier that I might be going into labour! Amusingly my main concerns (in order) were: all the baby stuff I ordered online has not yet arrived/ will DH know how to wash it and put it all away/ omg the hall has not yet been painted/ oh- that would mean baby would be 5 weeks early Blush

SGJ · 29/07/2013 21:24

30 days to go! Eek! Have set aside a few things for my hospital bag and for the baby but otherwise I feel totally unprepared... FIL has invited himself to stay this Thurs - Sunday & will have to stay in spare room/nursery so a) can't prepare the nursery at all as it still needs to have the double bed in it and b) have to spend my 2 child-free days this week cleaning the house frantically rather than a little bit at a time whenever I feel like it. Grrr.
Anyway ladies, we thought someone would have popped by the end of this thread, but we've only got a few messages left! Anyone feeling twingy?!

SGJ · 29/07/2013 21:25

Cross posted with Jammy! Twinge ahoy!

jennimoo · 29/07/2013 21:33

I was getting pains last night but I'm pretty sure it was trapped wind...

weebarra · 29/07/2013 21:43

Oh arse. Doc has just been and they are going to keep me in tonight. And my phone is almost out of juice.

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 29/07/2013 21:50

I have had mental BHs today, seriously strong ones. No period pain similarity though so I am fairly sure this isn't "it". (mind you, I haven't had period pain for about three years, since I started using a mooncup, thank you MN, so my recollection of the difference between BH and latent phase labour is now exactly four years old...!!)

I did day one of my intensive five day training course today. (Managing Successful Programmes). The course leader asked when I was due, I said I'm at 36 weeks tmrw, she said ooh my second was born at 36 weeks :) ... To which I thought that's not bloody funny but then (anyone anxious don't read this) she explained she'd had awful stomach pains which her GP poohpoohed as "a gastric bug, go home and keep your fluids up", and she ended up blue-lighted into hosp, they estimated she was 15 mins from fatal, c-sectioned the baby out (I think a vertical cut too) and only then discovered her burst appendix, which they whipped out at the same time.

So I said, well, do I get a refund or a rebooking if I go into labour in the middle of the course? only half joking but she couldn't say anyway, these courses are delivered through so many levels of outsourcing.

I think it's definitely good going that we've got to the end of this thread/end of July without any too-early babies, well done the two ladies with a bit of a scare last week!! Clever you, keeping them in and safe. Keep resting.

Must sleep now - course is 9am-5pm, 50 mins commute each way and 2 hrs homework each night. I did practice tests this evening, 57/75 for the first but 5/10 for the second (is done in a bit of a tricky format, you need to get lots of sub-questions right to get the mark). Need my rest to do my best...

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 29/07/2013 21:51

{{hugs}} weebarra, hope all is well in the morning.

flipflump · 29/07/2013 21:59

Jammy, you need one of the dresses in your life - I have 4, black, navy, grey and red. I live in them!! I can dress casually for work, they are my staple wardrobe 7 days per week.

Lots on BH here but mainly whilst walking, nothing more exciting than that.

Barra, sorry to hear you have to stay overnight, they're obviously taking good care of you and not taking any chances. Hope you get a decent nights kip.

jennimoo · 29/07/2013 22:01

Weebarra- hope your phone survives and that you get some rest tonight.

Readytosettle · 30/07/2013 06:09

Should I be worried about not getting braxton hicks? Everything I read says I should be having them...

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 30/07/2013 06:33

Ready, not at all. First pg I thought I hadn't had them, but on one mw visit when I asked why I wasn't having them, she said "you're in one now!" And sure enough I realised the bump had just gone a bit hard all over but I wasn't feeling anything inwardly.

Second pg, feeling things totally differently - someone on here said way back in the threads that BH get stronger each pg.

jennimoo · 30/07/2013 06:52

Ready - don't worry, I was going to write exactly the same as rake!

Keepsmilingsunshine · 30/07/2013 06:57

I didn't feel a single BH last time but having regular strong ones this time round - so much so that I was admitted over night for monitoring as they thought I could be in labour. Hoping that all this practicing and discomfort will mean a sneeze birth, although not holing my breath Grin.

Having pram trouble here - we've changed our car since we had our DS and our lovely pram doesn't fit in the boot! Why did we wait until 33 weeks to check Hmm.

Hope you ok Weebarra and you managed to get some rest.

Keepsmilingsunshine · 30/07/2013 06:58

Sorry, meant to ask if anyone has a link to these H&M tops - might nip into town later.

Kittenkatzen · 30/07/2013 07:39

Oh that's rubbish weebarra, hope you can go home soon.

Yy to BH when walking - quite uncomfortable sometimes, feels like the bump has turned to stone!

Here's the link keepsmiling - I'm normally a 14 and have a couple in the large size - am wearing the belt up under my boobs/above the bump Smile

badguider · 30/07/2013 08:18

No bh here.
No leaky boobs either.

Can't help feeling a bit "behind" my dates :(

OP posts:
TripleRock · 30/07/2013 08:28

No BH for me either, this preg or my last.

Feel like I must be missing something obvious... :)

TripleRock · 30/07/2013 08:29

Ha ha, think you ladies are responsible for that hm dress selling out!
