Congrats Marie and MysteryMeg.

I am also now past my original LMP date but I never believed it due to long cycle and OPK, 12 week scan date is actually the date I think it should be.

After a morning in nice quiet air conditioned shops (strangely enough most people wanted to be outside today) I've spent the afternoon on the sofa with all windows open and fan on. Not sure how many more days like this I fancy but also not sure about giving birth in this weather either...although my DM has often commented on how hot it was when I was born so maybe this is payback.

Thinkingof4 · 06/07/2013 22:18

Congratulations marie and mystery

marie I thought you'd been quiet today! 2nd sweep did work then! What an amazing birthday present

Congratulations MarieKL and MysteryMeg They're both beautiful names. I wanted an Edith but it's been vetoed by DP. What a lovely birthday present MarieKL. Hope you're enjoying snuggles with your babies.

cheekbyjowl · 06/07/2013 23:05

congrats marie and mystery meg.

glad you had such a lovely anniversary vinegar. can I ask one thing about your birth? how did you know that it would be a bad idea to go back home even though they wanted you to?

I found an outdoor pool today. bliss! swimming felt good id recommend it.

What no wide abake club this morning?

OP posts:
SundaySunshine · 07/07/2013 06:02

Hi all, just a quicky to say that baby boy was born at 12.50am on Sat night after a nice quick labour Grin got induced after routine MW appointment due to littles ones Heartbeat dropping, but everything is fine, at it worked out for the best as I'd driven myself to the hospital and luckily had hospital bag in car, so I didn't need to rely on anyone else. Labour was v different to my water birth/ active labour plan as I was being monitored constantly, but actually it was fantastic, they gave me just the right amount of support and I managed it with just G&A and a couple of paracetamol in a little over three hours. It was so so so much better than DD.

The little man (no name as yet) is wonderful, and really content. Seems to be happy in his cot and is bf well which is such a relief too. Looking after 'helpful' relatives and keeping DD entertained is exhausting though!

Sorry for no personals, I've got pages to catch up on, but I gather there are a few more arrivals too, so big congratulations to those new mums Grin and COME ON BABIES shout to all those of you impatient to see your little miracles x

dinkystinky · 07/07/2013 06:37

Congratulations Sunday - sounds like another v positive induction birth story. Hope you're having lots of fun cuddling your little boy - put those helpful relatives to work entertaining dd!

princessllama · 07/07/2013 06:43

Well done sunday and marie and mysterymeg and christina .

TotallyEggFlipped · 07/07/2013 08:06

Congratulations, Sunday!

Any tips on changing a baby's time zone greatly appreciated. DD2 looking for BF approximately hourly overnight, but quite happy to go 4 hours by day. Or should I just move to Australia?

SlouchingPanda · 07/07/2013 08:11

Congratulations! Sunday, MysteryMeg, and Marie. Sounds like CalmIsTheMantra might be cracking on too (I think it's her... this dual identity Facebook/here lark is confusing). Apologies to any I've missed.

No baking or waking today. Slept in til 8am - glorious bar an hour awake at 3 with indigestion. Have a good day everyone.

39+3 (in possibly the slowest week of pregnancy so far!)

esme80 · 07/07/2013 08:38

Congrats marie and sunday!

Its getting unusual to wake up in the morning and there not to have been babies born! Own bump not listening at all and still in place. Also struggling in the heat here, everyone sitting in the sun but me, either hiding in the shade or inside in front of the fan. Tennis today though!

Abzs · 07/07/2013 08:41

Same here totally though we may be on Perth time rather than Sydney.

Congratulations to all the new arrivals!

My dh may also be up for sale/swap. Likes bikes of both kinds, not good with antipo

Abzs · 07/07/2013 08:42

Antipodean time keeping.

Damned tablet.

Persuasion · 07/07/2013 08:56

Congratulations marie and sunday and good luck calmisthemantra

Dinky no 4am club for me, I had an amazing nights sleep for once!

I clearly need to make some plans quick. Although I've had plans every day for the last two weeks and it doesn't seem to have made any difference. This week I have nothing planned at all. Maybe my baby is programmed differently to totally's and she's waiting until she can get all the attention! Either that or she's going to interrupt my viewing of the Wimbledon finals this afternoon (vain hope!) We're going for a nice long walk in the park this morning and a potter round some antique shops before that, should be a nice day. Anyone else got nice things planned?

IcingTheCake · 07/07/2013 09:02

Congrats sunday Smile what a lovely birth it sounds like!

Persuasion i also had the best nights sleep in a long time, slept from 11-6:30 woke up to turn the lamp off (oops) then straight back until 8:15 Smile totally needed it though!

So today is original due date day - well soon see which one is a better guess! SmileI am measuring 40 so quite likely but could just be fat Grin

Hope everyone is doing well! We might buy a paddling pool to dip out feet in today! Grin

Runswithsquirrels · 07/07/2013 09:17

Bored of waiting now.

Was a member of the 8am baking club today as DP, myself and a few friends seem to have polished off the muffins. Suddenly worried people would have nothing to eat when they visit so made more even though I wasn't really in the mood.

DP is readying himself for the German GP by putting other Motorsport on the TV now. It drives me mad. I'm hiding away.

No signs of anything happening here on my original due date. For days I've felt like there is a head sitting in my (TMI) anus but nothing is happening. DP thought he could feel my tummy tightening intermittently last night but I couldn't feel anything.

I have to make a decision whether to go for a S&S tomorrow. I've booked in for reflexology in the afternoon but I know the midwife is going to offer to root around my bits. I think if I did it though I'd be doing it for myself and not for the LO who really will come out when she's ready.

Congratulations to the new arrivals, it is kinda weird to wake up and see who's next!

I hope everyone has a lovely day and manages to keep cool!

PhieEl06 · 07/07/2013 09:54

I think MightBe & esme she was trying to be polite but she knows me well enough & can see how miserable I am! esme I hope you survived the visit from PIL's & managed not to offend your FIL! Hehe liking dinky's idea of priming your dc to ask! Wink

Slouching bit late on the post now but sending my sympathies as I'm just miserable at the moment too, I understand the fear of a newborn & think it's completely normal for first time mums. Hopefully it's just pre-birth worries & it will come naturally when the time requires, I guess women have been doing it since the beginning of time, before NCT classes & hospitals & midwives, the human race has still managed to survive! Smile

Icing similar to you my due date is very (1 week) different according to LMP, according to that next Saturday I should be going into labour but at first scan at 10 weeks they told me 22nd July & second scan at 13 weeks they told me 20th July. Hmm, hoping with everything crossed that LMP is the way to go... knowing my luck though this baby is going to be an August baby!

Hope you had a nice wedding anniversary Vinegar & glad to hear everything is going so well with your newborn!

Congratulations to MysteryMeg & also to Marie what an amazing birthday present & very quick from getting to hospital to giving birth.
Oh & congratulations to pinkballetshoes & Sunday it was a very busy baby day yesterday! Thanks

With you Runs on being bored of waiting, I have every sympathy got you being over, I'm no where near my due date yet & just want her out!

So my dance class did nothing yesterday! I'm a very miserable pregnant lady & unbelievably jealous of all you lovely ladies & your babies! However haven't told OH as I don't think he'll understand but last night I had a huge freakout in bed, the whole way through I have been ready for labour & giving birth, being of the opinion that its got to happen I may as well accept it for what it is & be positive, but now I'm really scared, I'm scared of the pain, of something going wrong & now feel like I'm completely unprepared for labour as much as I want it & have been positive about it the whole way through! Sad Sorry for the me me me moan!
Other than that I may be buying a new car in the next few days so at least that takes my mind off the impending doom! no I'm not buying a new car because the pram doesn't fit in my existing car at all! Blush

38+1 (& hating pregnancy)

CitizenOscar · 07/07/2013 10:12

Just a quickie to say DS2 was born 6.29 this morning. Arrived at hospital fully dilated & was lucky he didn't arrive in the car park! Had been keen to stay home as long as possible but might have been cutting it a bit fine Grin

He seems healthy & keen to feed and I feel pretty good. Tired! But no tears, haemorrhages nor nuffink (so far)!

IcingTheCake · 07/07/2013 10:26

citizen that's fab! Congratulations Smile
