Good about your mum helping. Are you up for cleaning etc then? I would like to do loads of nesting once the building work has finished and do a big autumn clean but wasn't sure if there's a point where cleaning isn't possible anymore? Of course I'll boss DH around loads too so he'll be helping but his version of cleaning isn't in the same league as my cleaning Grin

fatasbutter · 11/09/2013 19:24

Long time no see everyone! I have been so busy with work and forthcoming house move that I haven't had a chance to check in properly!
Can't believe your EDD is tomorrow kitty!!! That's come around so fast!!
I'm 17+4 now - phew!

RedRobin1 · 11/09/2013 21:10

How lovely to hear from you fatas! Yay on 17+4! Smile So happy for you...

when envious of your mat leave starting! Counting down the days I mine. Hope the spd is not too painful...can you do any physio or any mild stretches to help it?

alex are you 29 weeks already! Wow time really flies...

I'm not too far behind you - 23 weeks today. My butt, hip and tailbone pain has disappeared. Adjusting to sleeping with bump now. DH seems amused by how many cushions I now need to prop myself up on the sofa, sigh!

My nesting tendencies are in full swing - organised the pantry, had a kitchen clear out to make room for baby's stuff, cleaned the garage, started stripping the wallpaper in the baby's room! I am loving all the energy in this trimester. DH thinks I have lost the plot.

RedRobin1 · 11/09/2013 21:41

kitten eeeek edd tomorrow! Goodluck you never know baby kitten may decide to be on time! Fingers crossed you don't need that sweep on Sat...

Alexandra6 · 11/09/2013 22:57

Yes - eeeek kitten keep us posted!!

Ah red I remember giving you advice on early scan and the scary first trimester! Look at us now Wink Second trimester energy is great, I wonder if my tiredness is because of third trimester or just being busy. I def have to slow down a bit I think. Also have to be more aware of how I'm sitting as bump and back starts aching!

Hi fatas!

Alexandra6 · 11/09/2013 22:59

Oh and red are you still getting lots of lovely kicks? Sometimes I literally see my whole belly move Alien-style!

kittykatsforever · 12/09/2013 10:10

Hi girls, I checked yesterday, no posts then today lots!
So nice to hear from you fatas, did you update us with your 12wk scan pic? I'm abit jeleous of you pregnant ladies and the new arrivals, that excitement etc you can't beat it!
Kitten tomorrow Shock so fast can't wait to hear updates!
Hope spd clears with lots of rest when! My dd goes to nursery on a fri too, I thought its be hard having her around all the time but I've really enjoyed it, we are in week two of potty training now aswell, baby kitty is 4 months now can you believe! Ill update a new pic soon but she looks the same with even longer hair lol
Red I loved that time, pregnant enough to have a bump but not too big to be uncomfy and lots of doing
Hopefully tiredness will ease soon Alex
Hope things are well with your littleones mrs bri and little and your big un ted Grin

Alexandra6 · 12/09/2013 14:40

Happy due date kitten!

Hi kitty wow 4 months already! Look forward to seeing a pic.

I am still really tired today but planning an early one tonight, don't think I sleep enough. Nearly the weekend Grin Feeling quite good today though as I've gone into the office instead of working from home (which I usually prefer but not when the loft conversion is going on!!) and I'm wearing a nice hand me down mat outfit I've just got. Plus bumpy has been quiet lately (maybe because I've been busy with work and stressed about building work) but today is having a good old move around in there which I always love Smile

RedRobin1 · 12/09/2013 20:19

kitty how has it been 4 months already? Looking forward to seeing a pic.

I have had immense cupcake cravings today. Just had to have a cupcake or 4 and I bought a whole box to stuff my face like a pig! Don't know what had gotten into me. I feel sickly now - but god they tasted sooo good!

kitten excitedly awaiting news - fingers crossed not long now till you meet your little one.

Hope your mat dress didnt get too dusty alex I'm not looking forward to the builders starting our nursery conversion in 3 weeks time!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 12/09/2013 20:50

kitty can't believe it's been 4 months.

fatas house move sounds very exciting, definatly best get it out of the way before the baby gets here speaks from bitter experience Smile

alex glad you have a wriggly one today, it's lovely isn't it. Mine keeps going quiet for hours on end, just when I seriously consider calling a midwife of going to hospital he starts thumping around again

red good work on the cupcake (s). Our local tescos has just started selling Krispy creme donuts so that's my post pregnancy weight loss plans out of the window. Grin

kittykatsforever · 13/09/2013 08:36

Krispy cremes yuummmm, does anything taste so good!
Right ill get on the pic soon, so anyone who doesn't know what they are having, any inklings? Cravings?
The only old wives tale that I felt was true ( although can't compare to a boy pregnancy) was that I definatly became less hairey, I have alot wpuld normally have to shave legs every other day and they did just stop growing

RedRobin1 · 13/09/2013 09:14

kitty my legs have same hair growth as before. What does that mean boy or girl?

The Chinese gender chart says boy and all the old wives take quizzes say girl.

The craving thing is weirdly true for me - I went off all salty things (haven't touched crisps for 6 months!) and get a lot of sugar and sweet craving...

Other than that I haven't really had any cravings - just chocs and cupcakes an pastries! My poor teeth..sigh!

fatasbutter · 13/09/2013 15:55

Helloo!
Red - I hear ya with the cupcake thing, although I am feeling a bit more salty than sweet (but can eat both simultaneously!!)
Krispy kremes...MMMMMM!! Love them!!

Any news kitty?? Have you been dtd, eating curry ad pineapple and bouncing on the ball etc etc?! V exciting!

I really haven't felt much movement at all Sad so adding to my pre-existing mentalling it's not very good, but there was a heartbeat last week so am hopin it will start soon or is due to anterior placenta etc like u red...
Am in maternity jeans which are lurvely!!

Look forward to more updates esp kitty!!

RedRobin1 · 13/09/2013 17:11

fatas I felt just the same at 17w - just kept telling myself the heartbeat was strong at 16w.

The risk of anything going wrong is very very small 17w! It's minuscule and you will have the 20w scan soon to put your mind at rest. Honestly scans are a blessing!!!

when has the spd gotten any better? When did it start to get bad for you? I am worried about getting it as always had weak bones.

kittykatsforever · 13/09/2013 19:09

Well red its surposed to be less hair growth for a girl so I guess the same maybe boy but then sweet cravings are surposed to be girl arnt they Confused
Do you have a feeling? Aparently mothers intuition is right 75% of the time we won't mention mrs bri or whenWink lol

RedRobin1 · 13/09/2013 20:08

Haha I am rubbish at this intuition thing although I am split 70% boy and 30% girl.

I have had dreams about giving birth to girls but sometimes I feel this one is going to be boy! Smile Totally clueless... I'll join the club with bri and when

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 13/09/2013 23:51

I'm definately crap at the intuition thing (part of me still thinks its a girl even though two scans clearly showed boy bits). I have to admit I have got a lot hairier this pregnancy than the last one.

I epilated legs and underarm hair but just couldn't face doing the alarmingly hairy bump.

fatas don't worry too much about movement, it's too soon to worry about not feeling much.

red thanks for asking about the spd. It's really not at all bad, as long as I pace myself its hardly bothering me at all. I just have to be careful rolling over in bed, getting out of the car and not walking too far.
I think it's more of a ligament issue than a bone issue, my family has pretty solid bones (mum in a clinical trial and had a deca scan - she's very dense apparently Grin). I don't think any of my imediate family has every broken a bone.
Hope you don't get it.

Alexandra6 · 14/09/2013 07:33

Ooh I am hairier! Wonder how reliable that old wives tale is! Have also been enjoying sweet stuff more Confused but I'm def 100% more hairy!

fatas I didn't feel strong movement at all around then. It's so much more reassuring in a couple of weeks or so wen you start feeling it more and now I feel it daily. Still have quieter days some days but mainly you feel it lots.

Wonder how kitten is doing!

kittykatsforever · 14/09/2013 09:35

It's reliable until the next person it doesn't work for Alex Wink
Kitten is either in labour or fed up I'd guess lol
Yes fatas it won't be long before you'll be getting them all the time, it was atleast wk 19 for me

RedRobin1 · 14/09/2013 15:17

I have been checking my hair growth since all the 'hairy' posts lol - def slower and not much growth! I can't wait to find out boy or girl. Told DH I will not be on team yellow with baby number 2.

fatas I didn't feel anything till 21w and now the little bugger is usin my bladder as a trampoline - can feel it all the time Smile

kitten I am sure you are fed up of people asking but "any news?"

RedRobin1 · 14/09/2013 15:20

when you never know it might end up being a girl after all! Glad the spd is not too bad - I am already keeping my knees together getting in and out of cars and propping myself up with cushions.

I can't sit without a back cushion even in a restaurant for a few hours. Went to wagamamas the other day and it was the most uncomfortable meal I have had on their benches! The food was good though Smile I carry my own cushion now everywhere I go.

Alexandra6 · 14/09/2013 18:06

Oh I know the feeling red! Am going to have to bring a cushion to work! How far are you now by the way?

fatasbutter · 14/09/2013 19:22

Ah thanks - I will try not to worry but cos it's the 2nd one everyone always bangs on about feeling it earlier etc etc!

I was really definite about ds being a boy right from the start! But this time I have no idea really but am prob 55% girl and 45% boy! Bit random...

Tried putting pillows all around me last night to try and reduce back pain but it didn't work! Anyone got any bright ideas?!

kittykatsforever · 14/09/2013 19:46

Now if I ever see a pregnant woman with a pillow I'm going to think " is that red??" Lol
No bright ideas from me fatas Hmm will you find out at 20wk scan?

fatasbutter · 14/09/2013 19:55

Oh yes! I don't really
Understand why people don't!! My brain doesn't think I need that kind of surprise after going through labour! Wink
Only another 12 days til the scan - am hoping I actually believe its really happening after that!

Isn't it strange thinking back to our original Fred when we were all taking about how many times we had dtd etc and we are all still chatting! It's about 18 months ago that I first discovered MN and don't think it was that long after that we all started gabbing away! Smile
