2am club for me today! well have been awake well over an hour now, after having a conversation with DH earlier about was I glad it was going to be another section this time, so I avoided "all the pain, that I might not cope with" hummm, I woke with horrible tummy cramps and thought oh, this actually could be it, however they have now eased and although still have BH, they seem to be bearable, particularly after passing quite a bit of wind, upper and lower levels Shock
Couldn't get back to sleep tho, so have tidied the kitchen, and might cross a few other 'quiet' jobs off my list too.
Ellie & princess sorry you're both having such a rough ride, sending you strength to get through the next few days, and fingers crossed things start to look up for you both and your beautiful boys.

TotallyEggFlipped · 15/06/2013 03:40

Good morning npk Smile. You're very productive - I'm staying in my cosy bed trying to get back to sleep.

princessllama · 15/06/2013 03:49

Morning npk and totally. I have been woken by other peoples babies, so have been up to see mine and nothing disasterous has happened. I have not been so productive but have managed to buy dd some tights and leggings- she has been insisting her cousins hand me down pj bottoms were leggings and wearing them under skirts- looks absolutely mad so new purchases may help and in sale.
Lancs so glad only a migraine
Abz hope you are recovered from your expedition

i'm up too! also trying to do quiet jobs. we were all far too tired and over emotional last night. managed to get about 4 hours sleep, will try and catch up later on.

princessllama - hope humphrey does better today. the manner of some doctors i have found could do with some improvement! was replaying in my mind what was said to me yesterday and i thought actually what a patronising sod he was.

good news on parking ticket - it was just a warning. must remember to send DH out for another ticket if next weeks clinic overruns.

still dreading the prospect of having to have surgery and all that entails, having to stay away from my children in a cramped space with no privacy (my DCs are not quiet Grin). not to mention how on earth i will manage school and nursery runs once im home. DH does not have a flexible job (or employer). and all the negative comments have made me worry about the health of the baby.

hopefully will have a better day today...

Cheeseandbread · 15/06/2013 05:02

Morning npk, totally and princess

princess sorry little Humphrey has been having a few problems. Same with Eziekiel Ellie.

npk I can't believe how productive you've been! I just lie awake... Although I have just come into the spare/bean's room as we still have a bed in here as well as a cot.

Princess well done on the tights and leggins purchase I'm sure DD will be pleased.

Abz hope you are rested now.

On the phone so hard to do more personals sorry.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the support re ofsted. I can't believe I've had my last day. The kids were fab! They liked their plants and I got given some lovely bits for bean (and me!) from pupils and staff.

I got my reports finished too! Whoop whoop!!

Crossed posts Shelly I hope you have a better day too! X

Runswithsquirrels · 15/06/2013 05:49

Morning all. Today I found an advantage to membership of the four am club: dealing with your yahoo account being hacked and spreading viruses.
Called the banks to check all secure there and changed password to something obscure and have put a warning on my FB page.
Can I go back to bed now?

TotallyEggFlipped · 15/06/2013 06:04

Definitely go back to bed, runs.

Abzs · 15/06/2013 06:08

Also signing in to the early morning club, as I appear to have finally succumbed to heartburn.

Now sitting upright with CatB and a mug of tea listening to the dawn chorus - who are either going on a bit or three hours late.

dinkystinky · 15/06/2013 07:30

Gosh there were lots of us awake in the early hours - I was up 2 till 4 but decided to use the time luxuriating in lying in bed.

Lands - glad you know it was a migraine and nothing more sinister.

Ellie - hugs and lots of virtual choccy biccies. You and Ezekiel are going through a rough time - I am so sorry its all so hard and praying and keeping everything crossed he turns a corner soon. Also hope your cold passes quickly so you can get back in to see him x

Princess - more hugs and more virtual choccy goodies for you too (you need the feel good endorphins chocs release). It all sounds so frustrating being so close but so far away fro,m your little man and having drs tell you conflicting things - and the hormone rush with your milk coming in can't help matters at all. Get expressing for Humphrey - doing that will help you in doing something for him and relieve the engorgement - maybe you Ellie and Shiv can set up an expressing club. Praying and keeping everything crossed that Humphrey stays stable, his breathing improves soon, and that all of this worrying time will soon be a very distant memory for you x

Shelley - glad the ticket turned out not to be a ticket. Sorry your worries had you up too. There are some things you can do to address those school run/nursery worries - do you have family or friends who could help for a couple of weeks while you recuperate? If not look into post natal doula/home help or part time temp nanny to help if you can afford it (they'll also help keep on top of laundry, shopping and whatever else you need doing around the house to make life easier for you). As for feasts about the op, look into natal hypnotherapy for a csec CDs - it may well help overcome those fears. And ignore the silly sod Dr who told you worst case scenario issues - opp plenty of babies are born by csec without any feeding or breathing issues. My friend who had twins by c sec earlier this years was did hasrged after 24 hours obs as all was fine x

Cheese - yay for lovely last day at work and lovely send off and double yay for finished reports.

Runs - same thing happened to me 2 years ago. Someone in the us hacked my fb account and then hacked my yahoo account. V annoying. Have been religious about logging out of accounts and different passwords since then. At least you discovered it quickly.

Today will finally pack my labour bag, try out car seat for Bean in the car and sort out my filing mountain. Well, try to do at least one of those - don't want to overdo it:-)

dinkystinky · 15/06/2013 07:33

PS my autocorrect seems to be channelling Shakespeare - it keeps turning you into thou and mine into thine. When it starts putting my posts into iambic pentameter I'll really start to worry!

dinkystinky · 15/06/2013 07:35

Hmm just read big post back - sorry fr the gobbledigook. Blame Wills the autocorrect bard!

shelley72 · 15/06/2013 07:44

Just been back to sleep for an hour so ready to go off to swimming lessons now.

That doctors words have been annoying me, as dd was section at 38 weeks had apgar of 9, fed straight away and we were home next day. Was hoping for the same again and now I'm thinking there is something they haven't told me about the baby. Google didn't help! Alas cannot afford a doula (perk of being sahm being broke) and family and friends still work / are miles away. Was rather hoping to make it to July so would only have a couple of weeks of school left.

Sun is out so going to catch up on washing and get car seats in hope they all fit, bugaboo converted and Moses basket ready today.

dinkystinky · 15/06/2013 08:00

Shelley - step away from dr google - never helps matters! Check at your next appt if there is any reason for such advice - if not, and if all goes well, make it clear you are hoping for a 24 hour discharge. Any school mum friends that would be able to help with school drop off and pick up? Also do you have unis nearby? Students may be up for doing drop off and pick up for some cash (lot cheaper than a doula too) which would help you out abit.

Runswithsquirrels · 15/06/2013 08:10

Dinky a Shakespeare version of autocorrect sounds like something that must be invented!

cheekbyjowl · 15/06/2013 09:14

hark. art so many of you awoken by dawns first kisses? my husband still slumbers but my fair winds might shake him!

fie shelley. fie! dost though apothecary ail you? no more to that, free yourself from the viperish trap of sire google.get thee some rest fair maiden.

enough the bard is too hard, time to go back to predictive text Smile . will pray for ezekiel and humphrey and that you both have supportive people around you.

orangebubbles · 15/06/2013 11:13

Hi all, I am utterly useless at remembering to log on here...

Hope you are all well, not long now until the babies start arriving thick and fast Grin

Thinkingof4 · 15/06/2013 13:06

Ellie and princess sorry you are both having such a hard time, fx they both start to pick up today

Shelley I'm sure some school run mums would help you out if you ask them, and hopefully would only be very short term

cheese enjoy your mat leave

npk hope you have some better luck coming your way soon

Hope all you wary wakers are having a restful day. I was briefly up at 4am with ds1 but managed to get back to sleep.
I can't remember who was saying re more tightenings, ive had this last couple of days too, but cant really imagine anything much happening till my due date date given I've been overdue 3 times so far.
Feeling really tired too, kind of wishing it would rain so dh would come in from garden and look after the boys...

Still on phone as iPad not fixed- apple shop v unhelpful, would even tell dh how much to fixed it till he booked appt- then told him over £200 to fix it, at which point he cancelled appt! What a rip off Sad

MightBeMad · 15/06/2013 14:04

Vinegar I'm in awe of you still cycling so much!

Shelley I'm loving the idea of icecream turning babies Grin sorry the csec news wasn't encouraging. I've no experience but I'm sure friends who've had sectios have had babies ith no issues est feeding etc do try not to be too discouraged.

Princess I'm so sorry to hear that you and Humphrey are having a tough time. Fingers crossed for improvements in leaps and bounds (or even baby steps) this weekend xxx

Paolo. Glad all is going well with the girls. Sounds like the care in sweden is first rate!

Happy mat leave slouching, dinky, mrsmillions and cheese!

Cheek - great news on baby's position but fingers crossed for your blood pressure staying low. Love the bard!!

Marie - you're ahead of me on the piles of stuff for hospital bag - I haven't even got that far . Must be more productive next week!

Lancslass, very relieved for you on the migrane news (not that migrane is good but better than the alternative!).

Ellie good luck for positive news at the discharge meeting and I hope your cold clears up ASAP!!

All ok here. Iron and platelet levels have apparently gone back up to normal since stopping work (I knew work was bad for me Wink ). Still no signs of cholestasis on my liver tests but I'm starting to get stressed about the birth, especially with the added uncertainty of whether I'll get a last minute cholestasis diagnosis agin or whether they might test for gd due to baby's size (one mw freaked out, one (v sweet but not entirely confidence inspiring iykwim) totally unconcerned...). Started to investigate hypnobirthing courses but have been quoted £700!! Shock

TotallyEggFlipped · 15/06/2013 14:08

I told DH today that I didn't want anyone else knowing when I go into labour until after the baby is born. I just don't feel comfortable with the idea of everyone knowing & waiting & expecting updates. I prefer to be more private about things. He got really angry because my parents will need to know because they're looking after DD and he wants to tell his parents too.
When DD was born I said I didn't want to tell anyone I was going in to be induced early, but he told all of his family I was in the hospital before the induction even started and I was waiting 24 hours for the induction to start with everyone getting (lack of) progress reports.
AIBU to want to have a bit of privacy?? Obviously we'll tell them as soon as the baby is out.

dinkystinky · 15/06/2013 14:08

Mightbemad - you can get downloads online for a hell of a lot less or try natal hypnotherapy as an alternative. I think my course 4 years ago was 300 so 700 sounds wrong! Glad your iron etc counts are back up.

TotallyEggFlipped · 15/06/2013 14:11

shelley - in my hospital they're starting to talk about day case elective Caesarians.

Thinkingof4 · 15/06/2013 17:03

totally I'm definitely with you on not telling people when labour starts. My mil will be looking after boys so she will have to know +/- neighbours depending on how fast I need to get to hospital but nobody else, certainly not my parents who would just worry/ text etc which is not helpful IMO.
You need to be relaxed in labour- that's the most important thing, so if you don't want to tell people then put your foot down. Labour is hard enough without an expectant audience fgs!!

Feeing really fed up today, not sure why. Tetchy with dh and too tired to do much. Hope it's just a blip and I return to my positive state v soon!

dinkystinky · 15/06/2013 17:42

Totally - I'm 100 percent on board with you on not telling anyone other than those that need to know when labour starts. Am hoping to keep it to just dh, our nanny and doula. Mum and dad, and the inlaws, spent ages worrying when I was being induced with ds1 and kept calling up the labour ward which really annoyed me (god knows how the mws felt) so with ds2 only my sister knew (and that was because she had to look after ds1) and our doula and it was lovely calling after the birth to say he'd arrived safely and have them pleasantly surprised.
