Typo after typo. Sorry I really need to start checking my posts Blush

KirjavaTheCat · 22/04/2013 14:27

Oops, I am icing! Namechange!

I agree with Harv, Bangon, nobody finds things as easy as they seem to. I know I put on a massive front when I was working nights - in reality I was bloody struggling. It's so hard to let people know how things really are and I reckon those dreams are just stress manifesting itself! Try to find some time to relax and put your feet up, though that's easier said than done I know Thanks

I had a dream the other night that felt so real, OH had run off with another woman and left me with 100k of debt. The whole dream felt really real. I woke up livid and threw his arm off me. Poor man didn't know what he'd done wrong...

berrybomb · 22/04/2013 14:34

Hi ladies

Scan went really well - my dates say 12 + 0, my private scan at 8 weeks added 3 days, and now they measured 12+6...so my EDD has changed to 29th October (but I'll stay here with you lovely ladies if that's ok)

I wasn't overly impressed with the Sonographer - we paid £5 for some distinctly rubbish photos, and I had to ask if everything looked normal. Luckily I could see a heartbeat without having to ask, but she just seemed to want us in and out. I guess I got spoiled at the private scan!

Hope all is well - I'm off to catch up.

harverina · 22/04/2013 14:49

Yay berry that's great! You must be delighted GrinGrinGrin

Oops sorry I didn't mean icing I meant Eco haha!

Btw bangon I am one of those people that cleans for hours before I have anyone coming. I like to hide the fact that my house is usually an absolute tip so people always think I am super tidy and organised. Wish I could just be myself and be comfortable with the fact that i am a messy person who hates cleaning!!!

KirjavaTheCat · 22/04/2013 14:52

Aww so glad to hear that Berry. Our photos are £7 each Angry they better be good for that price!

TiredFeet · 22/04/2013 15:07

great news Berry Smile

TiredFeet · 22/04/2013 15:10

kirjava just seen your hungry hippos thread, love it!

MummaPanda · 22/04/2013 15:11

Haha harv I do that too! I need at least a couple of hours notice to quickly hide mess in cupboards blitz clean the house before people come over.

getoffthecoffeetable · 22/04/2013 15:22

Brilliant news berry rubbish about the sonographer though, I think they forget what an important time it is for parents as they do the sonograms on a daily basis.

Went to work in my maternity trousers today, it was so nice not to have a button imprint on my belly!

KirjavaTheCat · 22/04/2013 15:24

Thanks Tiredfeet! I think next time we'll go with nets and hipponip Grin

Fairydogmother · 22/04/2013 15:38

Fab news berry

My scan pics were rubbish too compared with what we could see on the screen!

berrybomb · 22/04/2013 15:42

Fairy that's it - I know she could have stopped and taken better pictures at loads of times. The photos show no arms or legs.

I should really stop being ungrateful. I am of course over the moon that everything is looking healthy and the right size!!

I've now told everyone in the office! It's weird, for weeks I've wanted to blurt it out, then suddenly I just wanted to carry on keeping it to myself!!

suprisepitstop · 22/04/2013 15:51

im 12+2 and dying for my scan which is on sunday. its been too long without anything, i feel like i am making it up as an excuse for looking a bit podgy.
its such a passive thing being pregnant. you dont do things, like dont take stimulants like coffee or alcohol, dont exert yourself, dont eat this and that. i feel quite helpless, much prefer active 'challenges', like, in order to achieve this you need to run x number of miles or learn y number of pages, or turn up here and do this. i know i will be totally eating my words at the 9 month point when i am having an overly active and strenuous birth experience! i am totally tempting fate. hmm enough musing, back to my stupid software which keeps crashing!

Ariel21 · 22/04/2013 16:33

Dear ladies. I'm afraid I'm out.

After a horrible weekend of bleeding and cramping, one visit to doc's and one to out of hours, I queued up for EPAC this morning and saw the doctor there. She said it sounded like my suspicions were correct and sent me for a US. It showed that there was nothing left. Tragically sad but not a shock considering. And luckily no further treatment required.

Sorry to bring the thread down but wanted to share with you all, and wish you all a happy and healthy 6-7 months. I will look out for you all on future threads, much love and positive energy for your pregnancies.

getoffthecoffeetable · 22/04/2013 16:38

Oh Ariel that's such sad news. You must be devastated. Sorry for your loss.
The best of luck with your future family plans when you feel ready.

KirjavaTheCat · 22/04/2013 16:46

Ariel21 · 22/04/2013 17:17

Thank you, DH has been exceptional as have my family. I think if anything positive can come from this it is that it has brought us closer together (cliche alert!) xx

Animol · 22/04/2013 17:36

Oh Ariel I'm so sorry to hear your news - take good care of yourself - all the best for the future.

Lovely to hear about your scans suffolk and berry

I've been feeling so well I start to get paranoid that it could mean there's something wrong - 8 days til my scan. While I was feeling dreadful at least it was for a good cause if you see what I mean.

Good luck everybody else with scans coming up.

harverina · 22/04/2013 17:38

Ariel I am so sorry to hear your sad news Hmm thinking of you and wishing you all the best for the future Thanks

williaminajetfighter · 22/04/2013 17:52

Oh Ariel I am gutted for you. What a nightmare. And you were quite far along weren't you? This thread really is 'there but for the grace of god...'

I hope you are able to do something nice for yourself and try again soon.
