Saundy I would be mightily p**sed at that! There are very few people who know about the pregnancy for us, and we want it kept that way till the scan (please Gods let it still be viable). I don't think I can hide it much longer though as I am getting huge! Plus I have a field trip to go to in Millport so I will have to let the lecturer know for insurance purposes.
Feel so bloated today it's uncomfortable...have increased fibre intake to try and help...

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 20/04/2013 22:17

saundy your mil sounds like a pain.

I've not told my dd yet, she's only 2 and 2 months so I think she would expect me to have it imediately. Then when that didn't happen she would forget about it anyway. I'll tell her when I start to show. At the moment I just look fat fatter

2Labradors · 20/04/2013 22:25

Hi, can I slip in?

I had worked my due date out to be 2nd Dec but had a private scan today and was given EDD of 26th Nov.

This is #3, we have DD aged 9 & DS aged 7. We haven't told them yet and don't plan to until the 12 week scan. I don't remember feeling this anxious with my other pregnancies but I'm worried sick this time, was lovely to see a little flickering heartbeat today.

I'm 8 weeks 4 days and really struggled in my work trousers last week. I suffer with IBS and my stomach has been getting so big as the day goes on. I'm also suffering terribly with trapped wind. Had to cave and buy some maternity trousers today, cannot believe I need them this early on, although its all bloat I suppose.

So, hello to you all. I'm going to scroll back and catch up on this thread. I love that you're on thread 5 Grin

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 20/04/2013 22:47

2labs welcome to the thread. I get ibs too, if it flares up I don't get much bloating but get bad diarrhoea (sorry if tmi).

Had a bad flare up last week and it was blooming painful. Congrats on the scan and best of luck catching up on the thread, it moves stupidly fast.

harverina · 21/04/2013 09:08

Morning, had a lovely night out last night - one of my friends asked if I was pregnant and I said no!! Another of my friends is pregnant but further on so there was lots of baby talk and I probably slipped up Blush a few times though I tried hard!

Eco, Millport? As in isle of Cumbrae? I live Millport - used to go all the time as a child, have lots of happy memories if time spent there. We usually go for a day in the summer and cycle round the island Grin When are you going?

Welcome 2labs and congratulations!

My scan is on Tuesday and I am both excited and very nervous/scared. It's first thing in the morning which I am glad about.

So tired this morning as was home late and dd woke in the night (age 3, imagine a newborn!!) I am still in bed but can't seem to get back to sleep which is very annoying Angry

Going to venture downstairs and see what I can eat - I'm not hopeful as haven't been shopping yet! I will maybe send dh to the shop to get some goodies!

Hope everyone is feeling ok and having a nice relaxing Sunday morning Grin

harverina · 21/04/2013 09:08

I don't live in Millport!!! I love it haha!!!

Fairydogmother · 21/04/2013 09:28

Hi and congrats 2labs!

I've woken up feeling mighty sick for some reason - bleugh.

Saundy · 21/04/2013 09:33

Welcome 2Labs & congrats, always room for more!

Tired that was nice of your friend, are you doing no better on the food/sickness front? Did you take the medication in the end?

Sending DH out to forage is an absolute must Harv. I wasn't up in time to get breakfast before work today so am contemplating the hospital canteen - but its not all that appealing!!

Well the cat is well and truly out the bag now, after DP made it clear to all his Aunties etc yesterday that we really didn't want people to know yet, explained why (his work colleague who's DP was also pregnant had a MC at 12 weeks just after her scan - which you would hope would give it some gravity), they all swore it would not be discussed further, then an hr later the facebook congrats start coming in from all his cousins etc that weren't there!!

I think its a cross between excitement and not seeing any reason why they shouldn't tell. They defo see it as being their news as much as ours. I just don't want to see any of them, the days of me nagging DP to visit his family more are over!! Its not all bad though, DP clearly enjoyed all his family knowing so maybe I'm being a bit selfish in insisting he wait.

I feel for you Fairy last night was the first time in forever I've not been sick on my way to bed, even though I felt rough & I feel so much worse for it today. It was a proper sleepless night of feeling ill.

Fairydogmother · 21/04/2013 09:59

Saundy what they did was really mean - why are people like that?! My mom still hasn't told her sisters I'm divorced and here I am engaged and pregnant! She just doesn't see why others need to know our business lol so she's got the opposite problem!

To all you ladies who've had morning sickness I take my hat off to you. I wake up feeling sick and honestly it's like the world is going to end! Is it possible to get ms at 12 weeks instead lol?! Please say no!

Having squares in bed and hoping it makes me feel better

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 21/04/2013 10:14

saundy they haven't got a clue have they. Must be so frustrating when they agree not to blab then do it anyway. Grrr

fairy it is still possible to mc after 12 weeks but it isn't very likely. Even at 8 weeks if a heart beat has been seen you only have a 2% chance of mc. It's low odds but it does happen, there's nothing to be done but look after yourself and keep your fingers crossed.

I keep trying to find the heartbeat with my Doppler but am having no luck. Will just have to wait for nhs scan on thurs.

Fairydogmother · 21/04/2013 10:53

Lol whenshe I was talking about morning sickness not miscarriage!

getoffthecoffeetable · 21/04/2013 11:30

fairy I threw up this morning for the first time - I'm 12 weeks!

clementine82 · 21/04/2013 12:23

ditto last night and I'm 11+2. Have been feeling nauseous most of the time but not actually properly thrown up before.... I then slept for nearly 12 hours...

Lozcat86 · 21/04/2013 12:42

so sorry to hear the sad news xxx hugs to you all

my scan isnt until the 7th may, ill be about 13 weeks by my calculating. just keeping fingers crossed all is ok..
getting nervous now...

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 21/04/2013 12:46

Argh sorry fairy I'm a very nervous pregnant lady so I think I did a bit of misreading and projecting there. Sorry.

harverina · 21/04/2013 13:04

Oh dear I was going to reply to say if you haven't been sick by 12 weeks then chances are it won't start now, however....

I have had 3 mini calippos this morning and I am desperate for another but can't as dh will think I have gone crazy. They are just so lovely and water isn't quite doing it for me today Smile we are going out in a little while so may sneak one into the car ha!

busyprocrastinating · 21/04/2013 13:22

There must be something in the air. I've been really, really sick this mOrning for the first time. I'm now 13 weeks! Not sure if it's ms or a bug but I can't even keep water down so laid in bed feeling very sorry for myself n missing out on the plans we'd made. Cruel thing is I'd just started to feel less sick and get my appetite back.

I tried to plant the idea of a baby coming to live with us yesterday. She was very positive and excited and then asked if we could get one who sings when you press its tummy. When I explained I meant a real baby not a doll she said oh no not one of them! Least we've got a few months to work on it!

busyprocrastinating · 21/04/2013 13:23

That was to dd by the way!

KirjavaTheCat · 21/04/2013 14:37

Really craving quavers, but we're on a strict budget this week.

So I popped into aldi and got ten packs for 99p Blush best hide the evidence before OH gets home tonight.

But they've really hit the spot.

/trivial rambling

Dizzy81 · 21/04/2013 14:47

I've been sick too. Found some mouldy bread and well hello toilet bowel.

I hope everyone starts to feel better soon.

Dh and I went for a walk on the downs near where I live, had to give up ad I was exhausted and felt a bit queasy.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 21/04/2013 15:11

busy I'm up of your theory there's something in the air today. Haven't been sick for a week but was this morning.

louby86 · 21/04/2013 15:23

Another one who's been sick today, definitely the worst day so far!

harverina · 21/04/2013 15:44

Sorry to hear you are all being sick. I have had some nausea today but calippos have hit the spot!

Thecat quavers have been a lifesaver for me this week too Grin

MsFanackerPants · 21/04/2013 15:59

Vommy here too. And also can't get enough quavers. My mum came up yesterday and it was so good to have a mummy cuddle, even at 32! I had a little cry because I'm so stressed out with the house move and feeling poorly. Once the move is started I'll feel calmer it's just the current state of chaos doing my head in. And one we're moved it's only couple of weeks til I should have my scan!

KirjavaTheCat · 21/04/2013 16:00

Thought of quavers is making me retch now actually Confused

Can't win!
