But wind/poo is pregnancy related though! The rise of progesterone slows down the colon, and so we get constipation and wind in the first trimester. I have such an embarrassing farty bottom atm Blush

harverina · 24/03/2013 19:16

So do I! I pop all day long - in work I hold it in as much as I can and end up with terrible windy pains! How embarrassing Shock

Anyone else getting up and having no energy or desire to get showered/ready in the morning? I just can't be bothered with make up, hair drying etc and couldn't care less what I am wearing which is not like me.

TiredFeet · 24/03/2013 19:18

toddlerterror I am the same Blush am praying no one has booked any meetings for me at work this week!

Had to have a nap when Ds did today. But not sure if that's pregnancy making me tired or just that I feel justified in indulging my lazy gene now

MotherOfCleo · 24/03/2013 19:33

quick question, is it true that the risk of miscarraige decreases a bit after 8 weeks? Im 8 weeks on wednesday and just trying to put my mind at rest a little.

harverina · 24/03/2013 19:36

Not sure motherofcleo - I am 8+1 today Grin

harverina · 24/03/2013 19:50

Googled and apparently at 8 weeks if if a heartbeat is detected when scanned 98%of pregnancies will continue to term. Read that statistic a couple of times.

I don't get scanned until 12+4

Dizzy81 · 24/03/2013 20:03

Harvernia, I'm soo like that at the moment. This morning I couldn't move from the sofa for an age. Im dreading getting up tomorrow for work, but am hoping the sea band will help

I'm going to be 7 + 4 when I have my scan.

MotherOfCleo · 24/03/2013 20:03

harv I get scanned at 9+1 (private scan) seems such a long way off.

Saundy · 24/03/2013 20:08

That's such a coincidence as I was just googling that stuff too, apparently I have a 78% success rate after my 6 week heartbeat.

I'm right there with the lack of energy to get ready in the morning. Right back to my student attitude of I'll just wash my fringe lol.

Also becoming quite adept at smuggling out little tommy squeakers all day Blush better than the early days though when I could put a cart horse to shame haha.

getoffthecoffeetable · 24/03/2013 20:09

Am 8+1 today too. No news about when I might get first scan though, we're seeing the midwife on Wednesday do hopefully it'll eat the ball rolling really quickly then. It can't come quick enough for me, have had virtually no symptoms for the last few days so am all paranoid now. Don't like wishing my life away but really want to get the scan done and dusted.

suprisepitstop · 24/03/2013 20:12

yep me too, youd think with this concerted sitting on my butt that i would do something grooming related (hairbrush) but, nooo

harverina · 24/03/2013 20:14

Getoff I am also seeing the midwife on Wednesday how weird is that! My scan is 24 April - ages away! Are you just waiting the 12 weeks? We are although i would love an early scan but dh doesn't see the point Hmm

harverina · 24/03/2013 20:15

Saundy you made me laugh at washing your fringe!

harverina · 24/03/2013 20:17

Oh and my nipples ate killing me! What is that all about??

harverina · 24/03/2013 20:20

Ariel21 · 24/03/2013 20:22

Vix Sad Hope you are OK.

I didn't even realise you could get scanned earlier than 12 weeks. 12 weeks seems sooo far away! I've visited the Doc's and booked to see my GP on 18th April, the receptionist said this is just to chat and see about booking in with midwife.

Thanks for all your advice re. sickness. Obviously should just make the most of feeling OK at the moment! Especially as have lots of work to do. Which is what I should be doing right now. Doh!

Fairydogmother · 24/03/2013 20:35

My scan is this Thursday and I'm crapping myself.

My hospital scan is set for 9 April and I'll be 9 1/2 weeks then. They chose the date tho so not sure why they didn't make it a few weeks later!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 24/03/2013 20:41

ariel it is done privately. They advertise all sorts of dating and 4D scans around here. I'm waiting for the NHS 12 week scan though.

I can't find the will to anything either. Went down for an afternoon nap when DD did. I really don't want to go to work tomorrow Sad

BeQuicksieorBeDead · 24/03/2013 21:04

Vix hope you are okay...a friend of mine bled very badly at six weeks but went to full term and has a gorgeous baby boy...I know it doesnt happen that way for everyone but those little beans can be really tough.

I can't believe how laid back I was last time I was pregnant...I hold my breath every time I go to the loo! I am going for acupuncture tomorrow so hopefully my lovely needle pusher will calm me down!

Could someone please add me to the list, I am on my rubbish phone until my laptop is fixed....

BeQuicks EDD 25.11.13 first baby
Thanks!

louby86 · 24/03/2013 21:17

BeQuick - we sound so similar! I'm so paranoid every time I go to the toilet, last pregnancy I was just really excited, told loads of people etc. This time I feel like I'm tempting fate with everything I do!

We're due date buddies tooSmile

ilovemiltonismybestfriend · 24/03/2013 21:29

Hey guys, just wondering what symptoms everyone has? I'm 5+5 ATM and don't really have any. I know some people would love to be in my position but I feel like I want more signs. I have big boobs now... Literally gone up 2 cup sizes! And I like having naps. But it's more that I have an excuse to have naps now as I'm sure I would have had them before given the opportunity. And my tummy is harder like a little ball. But that's it really...? Please tell me I'm quite normal!!

Fairydogmother · 24/03/2013 21:33

Ilove nobody really has the same symptoms all at the same time - everyone varies a lot!

Certainly don't wish for more lol

ilovemiltonismybestfriend · 24/03/2013 21:38

Fairydogmother, I know. I do appreciate it! Very much! But i think I'm a bit concerned that my body isn't protecting my baby enough. I thought morning sickness etc was a sign that your body was looking after it?

louby86 · 24/03/2013 21:39

Ilove - I've felt sick on and off but only been sick once. Already feels different from my last pregnancy as I have acid now and didn't have it until the end last time. I think I started being sick daily from about 6 weeks so I'm just waiting for it to kick in now!

Make the most of not having many symptoms, it's not a bad thing and it's still early days Smile

Fairydogmother · 24/03/2013 21:47

I've never even had an inkling to be sick. Everyone is very different so don't eat caught up in symptoms as lots won't apply Smile
