Sept 2013?

Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

OP posts:

I stopped cramping for a few days then started again. I seem to remember it comes and goes a lot for first few weeks.
I am still firmly in denial of going through labour again. Won't be going there til at least 34 weeks!

Anyone else permanently nauseous?

kimjayne · 03/01/2013 19:37

Big thanks to the person who added me to the stats list! :)
Batfuttocks - i was feeling permenantly sick for the first 2-3 days but (touch wood) thats easing off now. But im certain its gonna return ... With a vengance! Shock eeeek

jm233 · 03/01/2013 20:08

Feeling sick is rubbish, but the second I feel absolutely a-ok I start getting nervous as to why I'm not feeling anything! It's a vicious circle!

andadietcoke · 03/01/2013 20:20

So true jm233! I woke up to find that my boobs had stopped hurting, spent 20 minutes googling in bed, then got up, and was in agony by the time I was in the car again. Last weekend I was worried about cramps, now I'm worried I don't have them. Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhhh. Is it the end of February yet?!

weechops · 03/01/2013 20:24

I have really tender boobs and I remember last 2 times they got sorer and sorer til around 6 weeks when they eased off. And yy to the twingey cramps and the tiredness. Wow totally forgot what the early weeks were like :)

andadietcoke · 03/01/2013 20:27

weechops I'm only 4+3 so won't panic if they stop in about 10 days then!

I bought more HPTs today. FRERs so that I can check the line is getting darker, and if it's close to the control line then I'll graduate to the CB conception indicator ones. Is this level of obsession normal?!

IBelieveInPink · 03/01/2013 20:32

Waaaa! I think I have lost the plot!!

So today, I have;

  • Knicker checked a total of 12 times. There is one toilet at work. It is getting a little obvious
  • Bought 2 more digi preg tests
  • called an early scan place to enquire
  • set a countdown website thing so I know how long to 12 weeks
  • downloaded a countdown app for same reason as above
  • doodled 51, 50, 49...... Etc so I can cross one off each day
  • poked boobs about 14,367 times. In public.

Surely this cannot go on! The men in white coats will come for me!

andadietcoke · 03/01/2013 20:35

ibelieveinpink [waves]. Not just me then?!
I have watery cm which has meant that I become convinced that AF has arrived.
I also moved in a meeting so that I could press my boobs against the table, just to check. We can share a cell Wink

What did the early scan place say?

IBelieveInPink · 03/01/2013 20:44

Me too! Stupid cm. freaking me out 12 times a day. Urgh. (13, I just went again. Damnit)

Early scan place said they see people from 7 weeks onwards. Not on weekends (which is what I was hoping for!) Did check, and I could get a lunchtime appointment at 8 weeks. So could be relatively sneaky about it. Hmm. So tempting!

Haha boobs against table. Good pointer, will try that one!

jennimoo · 03/01/2013 21:01

I had a scan at 8 weeks last time, will hopefully get one between 7&8 this time. Hearing that heartbeat was a big relief last time. I think they prefer you to be close to 8 as more sure the heartbeat will be there.

jemimahpuddleduck · 03/01/2013 21:38

Love the boobs against the table idea!

Feeling so reassured about CM toilet checks now! Been feeling so on edge as only 3+4 but hearing about other people's cramps and watery CM is making me feel much better!

Got my doctors appointment tomorrow is it too early?

jmf294 · 03/01/2013 21:42

Glad I'm not the only one behaving like this!!!

For the past few days I have been really stressing about every cramp.
I even googled risk of miscarriage at 5 weeks :(
I have been to the toilet countless times.

Then I bought 2 CB digital tests- did one at work and was really disappointed that it still said 2-3, it said that on Saturday on my first test!

I know it's all madness!!!
Last time I had a scan at 7 weeks- not sure what I will do this time.
I also had a private nuchal scan.

I have some nausea and vaguely sore boobs.

This list here is growing fast- hi to all newcomers!!

WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome · 03/01/2013 22:19

Anyone know if paracetamols are alright to take? I've got an awful headache (very rarely get headaches) and the NHS website says it fine to take the normal dose but I'm sure I read on here somewhere that it should be avoided.

Eep throbbing dilemma!

CrikeeThree · 03/01/2013 22:27

Hello again.
Nausea came back today.
And like everyone else I wasn't sure whether to be pleased or not (as I sat there looking at my dinner thinking... urgh....).
I seem to be getting "evening sickness" again this time. I have a vague memory I had this with DC1. Guess it would make it easier to cope with work than nausea in the morning. I remember having to dash out of a morning lesson when I was pregnant with DC2 (I'm a teacher) as I had to puke (sorry if TMI!).

I'm not doing anything else at the moment (like prodding my boobs. That may come later.....), but I have to say I have this awful feeling that won't go away that surely I might have a mc this time. Surely I can't be "three times lucky". I'm really sorry if that sounds insensitive to people that have had them before. I don't know why I can't shake the feeling. Maybe because my sister had a few before finally having her DC. And my mum had one after me....

Anyway. I am sooooo tired. And it's still such early days. So I guess it'll get worse.... But I did manage to go to my swim session tonight (am in a club), so am hoping I'll be able to keep that going despite the tiredness. Would really like to remain fairly fit through this pregnancy. I was with DC1. Not so with DC2, as it was so soon afterwards.

oops! essay!! sorry. Will stop rambling....

jmf294 · 03/01/2013 22:42

Wee wee- paracetamol is fine to take, it's ibuprofen you need to avoid.

Crikee three- I'm having the exact same thought having had 2 previous healthy pregnancies - surely I can't be lucky again :(

CrikeeThree · 03/01/2013 23:23

jmf294 thanks for making me feel slightly less self-obsessed :)
We'll just have to keep fingers crossed and pray that we're lucky.

jennimoo I was still breastfeeding DS1 when pregnant with DS2. It did hurt for a bit, and I think he wondered what was going on. I think it must've tasted different or something.
But I managed to keep going for about 5 (?) months.
Hope it gets better.... Are you hoping to keep going with it all the way through?

jennimoo · 04/01/2013 06:54

Thanks for the info crikeethree. I have no plan either way on carrying on, will see how the 2 of us feel. That was my plan from birth, didn't say I must last 2 months, or 6 months, just would give it a go and see what happened.
Feel all empty and pukey this morning. Waiting for DH to get my obligatory tea and biscuit ;)

andadietcoke · 04/01/2013 07:16

Oooh, tea and biscuit. Jealous! I'm going to try and force down a crumpet. Nausea came on properly at about 11 last night. Better this morning but hungry again (I never have breakfast).

Just done my third HPT 14 dpo (others were 9dpo and 11dpo) and the line is as strong as the control which is something I didn't have last time. On to CB conception indicators for Sunday methinks.

batfuttocks · 04/01/2013 07:19

Just to echo what's been said about three tines lucky: I feel exactly the same. It's seem so unlikely that I can have another healthy child. I am far more worried this time than I was with either ds or dd.

Feeling a bit grim and working today. I have a selection of (healthy and not remotely healthy) snacks to get through the day. I could only face white toast and honey for breakfast. Which means my blood sugar will crash horrendously mid morning! Ugh...

Kittenkatzen · 04/01/2013 07:32

Morning! Jealous of people having tea & biscuits brought to them - I've already been packed off on the train to work with just a thermos of green tea for company

dietcoke I'm now 16dpo and the cb digi I did at 14dpo still only said 1-2wks. Last night I got a BFN on an Internet cheapie Sad but I'm choosing to ignore that! Have one cb digi left which I'll try and save for next week to make sure it's going up.

andadietcoke · 04/01/2013 07:40

Thanks kittenk - ICs are notoriously unreliable. Definitely right to ignore!

Last time I only got a half strength line on the FRER at 16dpo so this feels like progress. Will buy some of the CBDs but take whatever comes with a pinch of salt. Really watching for anything going backwards.

jennimoo · 04/01/2013 07:41

The Cbd is supposed to be very sensitive to how strong the wee is so those of you rechecking try not to worry as probably nothing wrong. I got first BFP at 3+5 and it said 2-3 weeks, but was a very strong FMU sample! I then read about them and heard that lots of people worry unnecessarily if the weeks aren't right.

If you feel sicky and no ones bringing you a biscuit first thing do have some in a box by the bed: only times I actually puked with DD was when I felt dodgy and jumped out of bed without eating anything...

Back to work next week so will need to get my stash ready for mornings, and for work! I found emergency hula hoops very good and dried fruit good for meetings/ courses etc where you want to be discrete!

Kittenkatzen · 04/01/2013 07:45

Yep I know what you mean, I think I'll feel a bit better once I see a 2-3 result. At least I'll have an idea that things are heading in the right direction then. Just so paranoid right now...my boobs were sore when I got up this morning, but I'm trying to give them a surreptitious squeeze on the train now and nothing - argh!

Kittenkatzen · 04/01/2013 07:47

jennimoo thanks for the tips Smile I've not had any nausea yet but am massively looking forward to telling DH that yes I do NEED biscuits on my bedside cabinet ha!

Kittenkatzen · 04/01/2013 07:49

Ooh, also, the CBD I did at 14 dpo was done at lunchtime after having drunk a reasonable amount of water through the morning, so thanks for making me feel better about that too Smile
