Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SpottyTeacakes · 23/11/2012 22:35

Well from what I can tell its easy! Very nearly asleep and they come in to put me back on the monitor Sad

ISpyPlumPie · 23/11/2012 22:43

Gorgeous photo Pidge.

Spottty - hang on in there. Not long till Sunday.

Have given in to craving and am now wolfing down last bit of Ben & Jerrys cookie dough from the freezer. Blaming you Nutella Grin.

brooke89 · 23/11/2012 22:47

FriendofDorothy · 23/11/2012 23:38

Well I phoned the ward and then went up and they checked me out. Still not much movement but heartrate was good so I am ok.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/11/2012 23:44

Good news Fod baby having a lazy day Smile

AlisonDB · 23/11/2012 23:59

Just back from my girlie night,

Was lovely except for the talk of the night turned to my bump my impending delivery, etc... Which for most part was fine, nice to get some new ideas until 1 of the girls (lil miss know it all) started relaying every birthing horror story she could think of......
which then prompted a couple of the other girls to look in my direction in a are you ok kind of way.....
only then did she apparently remember I was due really soon and said.....
"ooh I didn't mean to scare you, (smug smirk on face) I'm sure yours will go fine"

To which I said "oh I take these stories with a pinch of salt"

But which I felt like screaming
"For Fuks sakes!! Shut the Eff up and get some tact you stupid annoying woman!!!"

Why? Why? Why???? Do some women feel the need to scare the bejesus out of other women, what satisfaction are they really getting from it! Just bloody irritating!!!!

Aaaaaaaarh, rant over!!!

Hope everyone else had a better evening,
:-))

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 24/11/2012 01:56

FoD glad heart rate is good. I suppose they'll all be slowing down now.

spotty I hope they let u get some rest soon, my LO hates any monitors and stuff on my belly too!

pidj that picture is adorable!

honey well done Dash with your first bottle!

Well I'm awake as bloody usual! Bored of this now. Really want to sleep!

Alison - because she's an insecure bitch who couldn't stand being out of the lime light for two seconds! It's bad, it's hard, it hurts like fuck, we get through it and we move on to something more interesting. One of the ladies at my knitting group said kidney stones is worse - i agree, because with labour there is an end in sight, it will not and cannot go on forever.

Rafa slept 2.5 hours on dp so now it's his turn and I'm feeding. Love my boys

2blessed · 24/11/2012 04:32

Ah pidj, he's beautiful! And you sound like you're all settling well Smile
alison my DM gets really angry when she hears about women telling pregnant women difficult birthing stories.
I'm re-reading dracula when I wake up now, was a bit scary during that crashing rain last night.
fod glad you're reassured. My lo seems to stretch more now but roughly at about the same times as when he/she used to zumba!

SpottyTeacakes · 24/11/2012 05:43

Been woken every hour through the night to test sugar levels and been put on a sliding scale bled everywhere Sad managed not to cry Wink now time for third steroid injection Sad sorry for self indulgent post!

Mummycox · 24/11/2012 06:04

spotty don't apologise, you're allowed. The end is in sight and (without wanting to sound patronising) you're doing really well. Sorry that its shitty, keep thinking of the reward.

PurplePidjin · 24/11/2012 06:38

Hourly Shock tears fully justified for that!

I had a wobble about 4:15 when i just couldn't hold him any more but he wouldn't go to his crib. Dp woke up thankfully and took over for a couple of hours - i put him in the crib and felt all guilty because I'm not a good enough mum to hold him longer. Ffs, milk's in then!

I never knew bf babies needed winding, good job dp did Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 24/11/2012 06:41

Everything always seems worse at night doesn't it? Sounds like you have a lovely dp though pidj and it's great that Rafa will settle with him. My sister never let her dp try and settle their dd and now (even at two) she can't let her have more than a twenty minute lay in without screaming the house down.

PurplePidjin · 24/11/2012 07:01

I think it's more emasculating for a man to suggest he's incapable than anything, I'd fare very badly talking to someone like your SIL, Spotty, I'd just stare in incredulity and end up being rude Blush tbh dp would be ashamed of himself to not at least try!

SpottyTeacakes · 24/11/2012 07:05

I agree she gets annoyed with me because she moans about him not doing anything and I have a 'well you made your bed' kind of attitude because I can't imagine dp ever being like that! He's already thinking of ways he can help out with ds at night as with dd he used to do one feed.

Him and dd are currently both still asleep in my cosy bed Hmm I'm very Envy oh I'm going to go and look at your photo!!

PurplePidjin · 24/11/2012 07:17

I do feeds, dp does nappies and wind, then we split the time spent with him sleeping on us according to need iyswim - he's going to have to go back to work all too soon so he gets more cuddle time now. He also fetches tea, food, painkillers etc, now i just have to train him to put my biccies in reach not neatly on the table! :o

2blessed · 24/11/2012 07:22

spotty be as self-indulgent as you like,, thats what we're here for Thanks

HoneyMum21 · 24/11/2012 07:36

spotty that's not being self indulgent - with everything you've been through I'm suprised you havent needed to break down! Also not wanting to sound patronising but you're doing amazingly well. Be as emotional etc as you want/ need. You're nearly there!

Bellaboo123 · 24/11/2012 07:45

spotty you're more than entitled to have a moan! The end is in sight nearly there. I'd be moaning surviving on such interrupted sleep.

Well last day at work yesterday...gulp can't believe it! They'd organised drinks after which was really lovely and they gave me vouchers for beauty treatments and John Lewis Live music in the bar made LO go mental!

Woken up on first day of maternity leave full of cold though...at least I've got an excuse to stay in bed!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 24/11/2012 07:46

I agree with honey it's not self indulgent to say "I'm having a shit time when you're having a shit time" hang in there Spotty the end is in sight!

Raphael is lovely pidj very Envy, must focus in the fact that we get one if those when it all feels like it's too much!

I slept for 6.5h solid Grin first time this week I've had over 4 h in a night. Just wish I'd managed a bit later than 7am

Alison you should have smacked the tactless cow in the gob! There's a 2 women at my work like that. 1 had prolapse and 1 an emcs. They keep trying to out do each other and are getting pissed off when I don't react! I've said no point working yourself up about something that may not happen. Cue knowing looks and sarky comments from them!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 24/11/2012 07:51

Morning all. Shit night sleep again. Yawn!

OP posts:
emilyeggs · 24/11/2012 07:52

spotty I think I'd moan a lot more than you so don't apologise Grin love hearing your updates.

alison what a stupid cow! I had the same thing yesterday with my area manager, won't go into it for obvious reasons but as she's my boss I couldn't really tell her to shut the f*%23k up!

Bellaboo123 · 24/11/2012 07:54

alison my SIL is the same and I just want to tell her to eff off too...but obviously I just smile and go lalalalala in my head!

pidj and honey you both sound like you're coping so well...I hope I do half as well as you
