spotty agree with eggs I think it didn't need to be said. Are you still going to go? Let us know how it was if you do.

I also had instant noodles with a few king prawns that I brought in home frome home. One of my random 4am decisions Confused.

have fun with the tumble drier nutella will be really handy.

I'm at work and bored. I was just saying to DP that all I want to do is be at home, preparing for LO. I don't want to do anything else Sad. Oh well only 6.2 work days left Grin

JoJoB77 · 22/11/2012 14:22

Most definitely not overreacting spotty. Its statements like that that made me feel so guilt ridden when i couldn't manage to bf last time. Surely we should support each other regardless of how we feed our babies?

Secondsop · 22/11/2012 14:22

spotty that's awful! The very opposite of respecting and supporting women in their choices.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/11/2012 14:27

Definitely not going! I can't stand people like that, my sister is the worst and thinks formula should only be available on prescription Hmm Also I had horrendous trouble getting dd to feed/put on weight and she was bottle fed!

itsMYNutella · 22/11/2012 14:32

blessed :o 6.2 days.... not counting down much! :o

MyDaydream · 22/11/2012 14:35

Nutella I had a huge dinner last night, I was still full and uncomfortable when I woke up, I've only just started to feel better in the last few hours. But then like Eggs sometimes I can eat and eat without any discomfort.

I can't tell if I've lost weight, but I'm looking thinner in the face which is the first place I loose from if I do loose anything so I'm assuming I'm down a bit too. I've stayed around the same weight throughout my pregnancy, but was a bit overweight at the start.

Spotty not over reacting, if I bottle fed I'd avoid it like the plague because they obviously don't want the evil bottle feeding mothers there. If I were braver I'd probably go once, whip out the most comically huge baby bottle I could find and start feeding in the middle of the room with a "and what?" look on my face. But I'm not, which is a shame because I have a brilliant "and what?" look.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/11/2012 14:37

Sad Argh I think I'm going to have to go in, just spoken to diabetic nurse.... I think I need a little cry..... best go pack my bag incase as I haven't done it yet...

SpottyTeacakes · 22/11/2012 14:40

Can someone tell me what to pack?? My mind has gone blank!

brooke89 · 22/11/2012 14:41

You are more than welcome ladies Smile

spotty definitely not over reacting - I would avoid it either way!

Lot of lower back ache this afternoon and a few more period pains but nothing regular, think it was the 3 hours trekking around town this morning as opposed to the strenuous tea towel sorting!

brooke89 · 22/11/2012 14:42

Sorry spotty cross posted - going in to be induced? Now?

SpottyTeacakes · 22/11/2012 14:45

No just in for monitoring I think, if they want me, but they might not, but I'm not sure yet Confused I'm just thinking if I go in I might not come back out!

Ohh dont panic, here's a link to a checklist so you can see if you've forgotten anything:

www.babycentre.co.uk/i/Antenatalclasses/hospital_checklist.pdf

Keep it in your boot and send DP out to get it or anything else you need if you have to stay!

Good luck thinking of you and keep us posted Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 22/11/2012 14:56

Thanks! The worst thing is I haven't even bought half the things I need yet Hmm hopefully they will just tell me to go into DAU tomorrow

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 22/11/2012 14:57

spotty I hope everything is ok. Please keep us updated.

seconds yh they seem happy and in a way I'm happy I've got an 'end date' but am likely to have the baby naturally without an induction.

Only got 4 hrs sleep last night. Just had over an hour nap though, feel a bit better. Hate not sleeping!

Spotty -

Big pants
Mat pads
Breast pads

Phone charger
Magazines/books/iPod

Sleepsuits

Off the top of my head that's the essentials. Good luck.

HoneyMum21 · 22/11/2012 14:58

Oops, my list prob came a bit late! Keep in touch and

SpottyTeacakes · 22/11/2012 15:02

They said labour ward is heaving so to go to DAU I'll update you all!

HoneyMum21 · 22/11/2012 15:09

Agghh- question for those with experience / we've got a mild case of nappy rash (I say 'we', it's mainly Dash but he's embarrassed... (I may be sleep deprived and a bit mental)) anyway, we are prepared, we have sudocrem, bepanthan and metanium. Which should I use?!

JoJoB77 · 22/11/2012 15:14

Good luck spotty, hope all goes well Smile

honey i swear by bepanthen. It sorted DD's nappy rash a treat and still does now. Sudocrem did nothing. Never tried metanium but have heard good things Smile

Cookiesandcoffee · 22/11/2012 15:19

Good luck spotty try and keep us posted if you can. Hope everything is ok but monitoring is good. Was about to have a massive rant about the opinion of some ! As much as I wish to BF etc, I really really hate people with these types of attitudes. I know people who have persevered for months and months, and ended up deep in depression over unsuccessful bf efforts. People can make their own choice Angry and not judged. It would make me not want to go full stop . Grr. These women make me so angry. Oops still ended up ranting a tad!
V v jealous of your tumble dryer nutella, I've been struggling to get LOs clothes all dried and keep moaning "if only we had a tumble dryer". Bt we don't even have the space. Sad

HoneyMum21 · 22/11/2012 15:21

Thanks jojo - we always have bepanthan as DH swears by it for healing new tattoos! He'll be miffed if Dash steals it but as there won't be new tattoos for a while I guess he'll forgive!

Cookiesandcoffee · 22/11/2012 15:22

honey if I remember correctly, sudocrem worked well as a barrier but didn't help as much in curing, but this is testing my awful memory. I've bought them all too!

JoJoB77 · 22/11/2012 15:24

Ah yes i'd heard it was a good tattoo healer too! I was a bit gutted that sudocrem didnt work, i was given loads of the stuff!

PurplePidjin · 22/11/2012 15:28

Dp nested as much as me - it's the excitement i think!

In labour, i needed:
Lucozade
Big nightie
Fluffy socks

Afterwards, i needed:
Lucozade
Clean trackie bottoms (3-4 pairs because of leaks Blush) fleece are brill
2-3 vest tops
Cardigan
Big fluffy socks
Pants
Tea tree or lavender oil for bath
Hair brush and hair band
Phone, charger, book for sitting waiting for dp while Rafa slept

Treat your undercarriage as a wound - clean with loo roll and water, dab don't rub, change dressing every 2 hours or less.
