New thread! I've lost my lovely spreadsheet so if someone can add in the stats and update, that would be wonderful; I'm sure someone else had a spreadsheet that was as anally organised as me

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
birdiesinthesnow · 04/12/2012 20:21

I don't drink anything at least an hour and a half before bed now and wee last thing and finally I can avoid getting up in the night. I used to drink up until bed so it was probably my own fault I was going to the loo all night.

happyhow · 04/12/2012 22:07

I've not been drinking enough the last few days so have gotten away with not going in the night. When I am drinking enough, I'm getting away with only going once. I try not to drink much in the evening though to prevent it but it doesn't always work!

Complicated24 · 05/12/2012 00:24

mary poor you. That sounds horrible. Hope you are home now and have been signed off sick for rest of week at least. Don't go back to work too soon.

I'm going to loo 2 or 3 times a night, but can't seem to sleep without horlicks or cold milk so that's probably why. Really irritating needing to go to loo for only a trickle though. Had second to last NCT class this evening. I knew I would enjoy them but am really pleased DH finds them useful too. He gets bored easily and wasn't impressed with NHS classes as felt they could have covered everything in half the time, but NCT classes are crammed full of useful info to keep him interested!

PricklyPickle · 05/12/2012 07:43

It's snowing here! I think I'll stay inside today.

octanegirl · 05/12/2012 08:23

Well I woke up this morning with something dripping on my arm - first I thought it was spider crawling on me, then I looked up at the ceiling to see if it was dripping, before finally realising my BOOBS WERE LEAKING!!!! DP thought it was totally hilarious. I was completely shocked. Didn't realise that happened pre-birth...

djvesi · 05/12/2012 08:29

I have the worst flu ever, feeling like I've been hit by a truck! I
Blew my nose a few days ago and since then my left sinus near my eardrum is completely blocked. My midwife found low protein and ketone in my urine on Monday. Now I'm camped at home resting and taking care of DS (2.5) who is also a little poorly. Feeling really defeated today! It's -16 degrees C outside too!

bealos · 05/12/2012 09:20

Taken your advice and not drunk much water in the evening and got a decent night's sleep. Hard though when you are thirsty all the time!

happyhow · 05/12/2012 09:54

We have tonnes of snow up here!! School is very quiet - lots of staff and kids coming in in dribs and drabs.

Makes my last day more enjoyable though - all wintery and snowy and looking lovely!! Smile

Complicated24 · 05/12/2012 10:29

Octanegirl that would have freaked me out too. Hasn't happened to me yet, but thanks for the warning.

djvesi poor you. I've only ever had flu once and it knocked me for six. Hope you and DS can snuggle up on sofa and get better together.

Happyhow how festive. Enjoy last day at work. Hope they make a fuss of you. You can sleep whenever you want to from tomorrow. I really enjoy my afternoon naps.

Am meeting a friend for lunch today so looking forward to that. I'm meeting all my friends that require a tube trip into London this week and next as after that don't really want to be on tube. Though a lovely man did offer me his seat last week and then even offered his hand to help me out of seat when I reached my stop. I thought he must have a pregnant partner to be so considerate!!!

PricklyPickle · 05/12/2012 11:07

Octane yuk! that's something to look forward to. I noticed for the first time yesterday that if I give my nips a squeeze Blush I can get some tiny droplets out of them. I know that it doesn't mean baby will be here ahead of schedule, but I'm hopeful anyway.

happy that sounds like a lovely way to spend your last day. Snow days are always fun. Enjoy!

Complicated that chap on the tube sounds lovely, its nice when you meet someone like that isn't it, it restores your faith in humanity.

My GPs called me this morning and said my doctor wanted to see me. They made me an appointment for this afternoon. They said its nothing to worry about and I'm sure its not, but it took me by surprise. I haven't seen my doctor since I told him I was pregnant and he referred me to the midwife. Maybe its just a standard thing round here to make sure everything is OK. Anyone else had this?

pmgkt · 05/12/2012 12:14

Just had mw, baby is now breech. In 36+4 so referred for a scan this Friday. Might get a section after all. It's very freeky as I can feel the head and move it around. The student midwife had a good prod too.

PricklyPickle · 05/12/2012 12:39

was your bubba head down before? At least you get another free scan and if it has turned once there's nothing stopping it turn again.

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 05/12/2012 12:44

Xmas Envy of the snow.

djvesi feel better soon!

mama how are you today?

I pee all night bloody long. My record must have been set last night, when I managed 2 in the hour from going to bed, and a further 3 before 3am. Xmas Confused

happy have a lovely last day, hope you get a nice leaving pressie!

complicated enjoy your lunch, sounds lovely. I plan on having a lovely lunch by my lonesome on Friday Xmas Grin

pmgkt I can't remember, did you want a section anyway? If so, good news as you'll have a lovely, calm experience. If not, I hope baby turns for you!

creepy jealous of your time left - I wish I only had 11 hours to go!

2 pretty much half days beckoning this week: friday is a booked half day, so I'm out of here at 12:30, and tomorrow I have the midwife at 2.30, so will be leaving at 2. And THEN it's ONLY 5 WORKING DAYS!!!! (a couple of which I'm slinking off early from as well). YAY!

pmgkt · 05/12/2012 13:05

According to my normal midwife it was head down but not engaged now totally moved to head up. I did want a section so I'm not unhappy. Don't really want a ev to turn it. I will be 37 weeks on Friday so they wouldn't expect it to turn after that as no room.

dieciocho · 05/12/2012 13:29

As a diabetic, I wee more than normal people anyway, but during pregnancy I've found that if I drink my 2+ litres between breakfast and dinner, but a) don't drink anything at all after dinner, b) wee once when getting ready for bed and once just before turning off the light, I can get through the night with only one trip to the loo at about 4am.

birdiesinthesnow · 05/12/2012 13:54

bunty try not drinking for at least an hour and a half before bed. I kind of do the same as diecio and drink a tonne in the day so baby is nice and hydrated but nothing late in the evening. I used to be up and down all night and this completely fixed it (although now I'm up soothing DD instead!).

complicated what a nice man - it's always heart warming to hear of nice people instead of the ones who pretend they can't see you! Someone shouted out of their car at me yesterday as I wasn't looking when I crossed the road. I'd said sorry as well so I don't think the abuse was necessary but thankfully most people aren't like that. I decided he must have a very small willy and that made me feel better lol!

dj hope you feel better soon.

prickly I haven't had that but must just be a check up. Let us know anyway.

pmgkt that's good then if you were after a section anyway. Babba must have read your mind!

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 05/12/2012 14:13

birdies I will try that!

pmgkt if baby is found to still be breech at your scan, you're perfectly within your rights to refuse ECV (I'd already made it clear at my consultant appt that if she stayed breech I was going to refuse), and go for the planned section. I hope you get what you want, so keeping my fingers crossed baby stays breech for you!

pmgkt · 05/12/2012 19:29

Thanks bunty. I watch one being done on you tube, it looks barbaric!

happyhow · 05/12/2012 19:38

Woop woop!!! I'm on mat leave!!! Got a lovely bunch of flowers from the school and my lovely Advanced Higher class had me in stitches... They got me a set of Yankee candles - they know I'm obsessed with them -and a poinsettia. They'd also gotten a baby grow made with a class picture and saying "I love Biology". Very cute. We'd just had a big discussion about how I was going to miss them and how I wouldn't forget them because we'd had a lot of fun. They've made sure I can't forget them now!!!! Also won a Molton Brown gift set and a £30 voucher for a local florists in the PTA raffle - today's been pretty damn good!!

Was in school til 5.30pm but think I've managed to get everything done that I was supposed to. Now for making Xmas cards and baking and hopefully getting into our house and unpacking!!

Pmgt, my baby is breech too but I'm only 35+2 so I suppose there's still time for mine to turn. They're going to see what it's like at my 37wk appointment and then go from there.

happyhow · 05/12/2012 19:40

Oh and what are the risks/benefits of the ECV if I end up being offered that in a few weeks?

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 05/12/2012 19:40

There was a woman a few months ago had an excellent go horribly wrong, put me right off, and you're right, it does look barbaric!

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 05/12/2012 19:40

Excellent? ECV

Lora1982 · 05/12/2012 20:09

I think i saw the same thread bunty. Im anti-d so thats another reason i would refuse it... Ive heard it can cause bleeding

birdiesinthesnow · 05/12/2012 20:16

That sounds like a lovely day happy

bunty don't worry but did you see the reddirect thread in the style and beauty topic? Some people have had orders cancelled. I'm not worried yet but wondering if I should contact them and check I'm still getting my necklace. Have you got your bag already? I'm sure they can't be cancelling all orders though so hopefully is fine.

Anyone else get lots of Braxton hicks and lower back ache after stuffing face?! I had a really big dinner and what I'm getting is very similar to early labour last time. But I'm sure it's not, must be all the food.

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 05/12/2012 20:19

Was horrific, lora, poor woman :(

birdies I did see that! :( I phoned them just yesterday as they've undercharged me(!), and it was definitely dispatched, and I have a package to get at the post office, so I'm hoping I'm safe. Hope you get your things! I would definitely phone and check

Not so hot on the braxtons, as I don't get a lot, but may be worth keeping an eye?
