Is anyone else unbelievably cold?

Thundernonk · 03/11/2012 21:33

I'm a bit hot. In 3 layers, under duvet with dog on legs next to hot radiator.... Watching one born....

MrsBri · 03/11/2012 21:37

Me! Been cold and utterly exhausted all day. Already had a nap this evening. May have another soon.

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 03/11/2012 22:16

Nap sounds good mrs

Thundernonk · 03/11/2012 22:20

Got my scan date! Nov 26th! I'll be 12+3! Exciting! Grin

MrsBri · 04/11/2012 08:27

Ooh...excellent news! :-)

I spoke too soon yesterday. Had to get up twice for a wee overnight. In fact, most pregnant overnight since finding out. 7+1 today.

How do people not know they're pregnant?!

Thundernonk · 04/11/2012 09:50

jojo that's great news! So cool to have a date to work towards as well.

How come you found out at 1:06 on a Sunday morning though- your postman is definitely more dedicated than mine....

Morning yummy bumps ;-)

MrsB Yep another baby shower! If I wasn't pregnant today I would be crying inside and coming up with tactics to leave early. Luckily I woke up with a secret smile instead! Present wrapped and bump hiding outfit ready to go so just need to shower. I need to spend the next hour getting ready trying to think of answers for 'When's it your turn' 'You'll be next' 'Won't be long now' comments and questions! Any ideas?

Frus I know I can't believe the size difference...I feel like I've had plastic surgery without the knife! Just as well I trusted my gut instinct and got measured this weekend. Also, I can't believe you find bigger cars easier to drive!! Madness! I'm really scared to swap my sporty car for an estate but DH is insistent that I get an estate :-/

kitty hah hah your DH wishing for twins for a big car :-) What is it with men and big cars eh!

JoJo countdown begins :-)

Old wives tale...if you now have colder feet then before you're expecting a boy!

11+5

peardrop2 · 04/11/2012 10:04

and Thunder glad you're feeling better ;-)

MrsBri · 04/11/2012 10:13

And mine, Thunder...he can barely be bothered to appear during working hours!

MrsBri · 04/11/2012 10:16

Will you have a baby shower, Peardrop? I'm not going to. I'm not into those type of things at all!

Still exhausted today...far too much weeing required last night. :-/

peardrop2 · 04/11/2012 10:22

YESSSS!!!!! I have to buy so many presents I am definitely due a return :-) It doesn't have to be corny! I won't be allowing stupid games at mine. It will just be a nice girly catch up, maybe in the evening with wine (for those who're not pregnant) and nibbles. No fancy teas in hotels where you have to shell out another £15 for the tea. Most of my friends ask for money for the food and I don't even feel comfortable about that to be honest. Better to ask each person to bring a drink or crisps/dip to contribute if food is involved. If it's the evening though it becomes tricky for people to leave kids at home so it will probably have to be an afternoon event.

I think I started weeing at 6/7 weeks too!

kittykatskumkwat · 04/11/2012 10:46

I had a surprise baby shower by my sis and friends but as it was for 2 weeks before dd due date, dd was a special guest lol. I liked it that way, was a good chance of all friends seeing her without trying to arrange a million first dates in the first few weeks, we did just drinks and nibbles no games. I wouldn't do another as I wouldnt expect more gifts but I did really enjoy mine!
Have a great time pear!
Good news on the date Jojo , it was a funny time to post I did think do you get mail on a Sunday?!? Wink

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 04/11/2012 11:13

I'd have a baby shower, but dont have enough friends, and the ones I do have are as skint as me. Grin

My DH wants a little car. I told him to beep beep beep Grin since he doesn't drive and he's not the one doing the school run.

MrsBri · 04/11/2012 11:35

Ah yes, Frustrated...similar to me. My friends are spread all over the country. I have very few here. I'm also not comfortable asking people to attend something where they're expected to spend money.

I agree you're due something back though, Peardrop!

I like a medium size car. I don't think I'd like an estate. We have a Golf, which I'm happy with.

Is anyone else struggling to find a drink they like? I'm sick of squash, but get bored of plain water. I've gone off my fruit teas already! Don't want fizzy drinks either. Fussy.

Oh, and comfy sleeping positions are evading me too. God knows how I'll be towards the end! Doesn't help that I prefer to sleep on my right side, which I know isn't ideal later on. I'm trying to retrain myself now!

Thundernonk · 04/11/2012 11:38

Same as me too, frus and nic, I'm quite new here so don't have friends nearby. That said I wouldn't be into the baby shower thing either but pear it definitely sounds like its nearly your turn with all those you've been attending!

I have a small car. And a reasonably large dog. I'm just going to have to cope. but I can park in tiny spaces

MrsBri · 04/11/2012 13:19

Oh, DH has informed me that Mini Cheddars are a VERY LOUD snack at 4am!

Tough, as I was starving. And he bought them for me!

I like being able to park easily, it has to be said :-)

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 04/11/2012 13:44

mrs I slept on my front all the way through my last pg. and on my right for the 1st. Did used to get stuck if I was lying on my back though. Grin

I can't find anything to drink either. Never had this before though.

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 04/11/2012 13:51

Parent and buggy parking spaces are fab dd still in buggy and blue badge spaces have one of them too are great. And I have a understanding with the multi story carpark guys in town. I have no trouble parking big cars, I have the trouble parking the little ones. Confused

MrsBri · 04/11/2012 13:52

On your front ALL the way through?! Interesting image in my head :-)

My uterus feels heavy when I lie on either side. Hmmm.

Not feeling amazingly pregnant today, despite the first properly pregnant night's (non) sleep. Just underlying mild, mild nausea.

Anyone else watching F1? Very exciting :-)

Thundernonk · 04/11/2012 15:30

I have no idea how my uterus feels to be honest, and I've never felt pregnant either- just ill really.

MN helping me to realise I don't know my own body very well at all!

OP posts:
MrsBri · 04/11/2012 15:34

It's probably that feeling ill IS feeling pregnant in the early stages, Thunder. I just feel weird most of the time, like something isn't quite right.

I just seem to have a sense of my gynae region...maybe because it was 'frozen' for so long without periods etc on the injection, I recognise it because it is so foreign.

bringonthetrumpets · 04/11/2012 15:39

You might be able to start feeling your fundus by now, especially if it's not your first. Should feel like a shelf or firm bump right above the pubic bone.

2nd day of no nausea, just extreme hunger every 2 hrs again. Bbs still a tiny bit sore...just running through a symptom check as I can't believe I'm actually feeling okay today! 8+6 wks...

Lol at the loud snack! My dh says that my granola bar wrapper wakes him up as well :)
