Caca so sorry, take care of you and Dh x

I'm having wedding clothes issues too, went for an epic shop, tried on every large stretchy dress in sight and looked horrible in them all. Nowhere around us stocks a mat range and I hate buying clothes online as never know what they are going to look like. Have a maxi dress at home which I love and looks ok so even though it's a bit old I think I might wear it anyway - I'm pg and no-ones going to argue with me!

Brockle · 09/07/2012 07:47

That is terrible news caca I hope you and your DP are bearing up.

I have a wedding in a month and hoping that one of my existing maxi dresses might be ok otherwise it is a trip to the shpos which I hate.

Went to the waterpark in blackpool yesterday which was brilliant. The boys had a fantastic time (luckily my parents were thre and the DH so they did slide duty) so I wallowed for five hours in the water. I was a very happy hippo. DS2 and my nephew cried when we left and fell asleep whilst we were changing them Smile

Getting a bit worried about the potential size of DS3. DS1 is built like me and was a nice 71b11oz. DS2 is built exactly like DH (peas in a pod) and was 91b2oz. My DH was a 10 pounder when he was born. Could potentially be carrying a right porker!

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/07/2012 07:49

caz sorry to hear your news ((hugs))

It's ds' 2nd birthday today Grin he's being kept v happy by a pepa pig truck!

I've got the cons app this morning, not too sure what it's all going to be about. Don't know if I get scanned again or what but hopefully won't be there too long as we've got to take ds with us and don't want him getting bored and kicking off.

horseylady · 09/07/2012 08:30

I'll not bother then! Have plenty of books to read actually had no idea what they were about!!

Came so close to calling in sick but am ok!! Have been here 90mins and not died!!

Have good days!!

daisychain76 · 09/07/2012 09:24

Thanks thedetective but I read Darker yesterday and went and bought Freed this morning! I think there is something a bit Mr Darcy-ish about Mr Gray in a very deviant way. Did get bored of all the sex in the second book though, and then the interesting plot bit seemed squeezed into the last chapter (still strangely addictive reading).

So sorry about your sad news caca.

YellowWellies · 09/07/2012 09:30

There seems to have been lots of drama whilst I've been away. Caca really sorry to hear about your DH's Nan :( Also, what has happened to Expat - I keep reading snippets about her DH but don't know what's going on? Is she ok?

Valium whoop great news on your blue one!!!! Good luck to everyone having scans today xxxx

ShellyBobbs · 09/07/2012 09:49

daisychain76 I've had the same, no answer when I've rung so I'm just going to turn up. If you go look out for me, bright red hair and 3 kids in tow :)

Cacacaz What a shock! It's times like this that family is so important.

Pass I'd just say to the people getting married that you'll have to see, you could be in labour for all you know. I'm making no plans for 3 weeks before at all! My daughter was 6 days early.

Brockle What can I say except owch Shock. Both my girls were 6lb 8lb and my lad was 8lb, I was warned with all 3 that I was having a big baby but turned out to be just water and bloat Blush.

I was put of that shades rubbish when someone said that a woman had an orgasm after having her nipples tweeked, WTF! Either I'm a freak because it takes a lot more than nipple tweeking to do it for me or it's just terrible writing. There again, good for her, she's made a fortune from absolute cac.

Good luck on scans today and hope your appointment goes OK today DH

Was a bit worried this morning, my little daughter (well, 7 year old :)) looked really ill and was very croaky, she crawled in bed and went straight back to sleep, this is not like her at all. I had to wake her up as I was taking the other 2 to school and she came round a bit, turns out she's got MAN FLU! A big bowl of porridge, hot lemonade and bath later, much better, rallied round better than any man.

I'm off upstairs with the laptop now to crawl back in my pit and am going to watch one of my favourite films, The Matrix :) Watched Point Break the other day and such a shame Keanu had to get older (sigh)

Must have had a blip last week because I feel much better, even during the weekend of double shifts :)

ShellyBobbs · 09/07/2012 09:51

Mmmmmmm Keanu (in 1991) Grin

eversomuch · 09/07/2012 09:54

So sorry about your DH's gran, Cacacaz.

Good luck to everyone with scans today/this week.

Brockle · 09/07/2012 09:56

Isn't 50 shades just Twilight fan fiction with the names changed and sex thrown in? Very tempted to see what all the fuss is about but I am resisting so far... wish I could say I did the same with Twilight Blush and the Hunger games Blush

I was going to go an pick up my Next parcel today but the store burned down over the weekend. Gutted (as is the store) as it is my nearest store for the sale shopping (yes I am shallow). They have confirmed that my fleecy sleepsuits are now charred muck but they will redeliver some free of charge.

Yay on the boy valium your DD's will love him as soon as they see him and boys always love their mummies. Little one is kicking away here which is lovely. Off to find biscuits...

applepieinthesky · 09/07/2012 10:39

Thinking of you Cacacaz

Despite going to bed early last night I had a really rubbish night's sleep. I kept tossing and turning and this morning I feel like I've barely slept. My eyes are really stinging. It doesn't help that I know I?ve got a busy week ahead at work but DP has got a week off Envy He?s off into town this morning to buy something for ?his boy? so it?ll be interesting to see what he comes back with.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 09/07/2012 10:42

Sad Cacacaz. Thinking of you here.

Anyone else's movements suddenly got stronger? The past couple of days this little boy has been kicking like mad, real belly jumping kicks!

Passmethecrisps · 09/07/2012 11:06

tits I noticed this last night and again at 5am this morning. Worryingly baby seems to like late nights an early mornings.

cacacaz I am sorry to hear your news. Look after yourselves.

All these weddings! For our wedding we had two different couples - one with baby due and one poorly lady - who we took intention to attend but left numbers until the last minute. The poorly lady couldn't tell us until 2 days before whether she and her husband could come. Caterer was fab. I really hope we can go. The venue is relatively close to DH's parents so we would be staying with them. If we can go, I think we will go for the ceremony and the meal but probably leave before the party really starts. Don't want to bring on labour by dancing! Also, DH won't be drinking and I reckon it will be a fairly boozy do. Fingers crossed!

horsey I hope you are feeling ok today. This weather's pretty aweful for horsey work.

Thechick · 09/07/2012 11:19

TitsalinaBumSquash my movements have got less. I think its moved up a bit and is no longer kicking me in my pelvic bone so its less painful. But I'm only 21+1 weeks so they will be a bit all over the place at this point.

applepieinthesky · 09/07/2012 12:06

I?m 21+2 and have an anterior placenta so the movement I feel is still sporadic. Sometimes I go a couple of days without feeling anything so when I do feel him I?m relieved. I can?t wait until they are proper kicks and I can feel them all the time. I?ll probably regret saying that though when he?s waking me in the night!

My parents have bought us a moses basket from Mamas and Papas which is being delivered. My dad wanted to get a blue one but my mum wouldn?t let him in case we have a girl in a couple of years and want to use it again Confused I haven?t even had this baby yet and she?s already thinking about the next one. Bloody hell! Highly doubt I will have another one in 2 years. More like 3 or 4 at least.

georgee · 09/07/2012 12:25

Hi all

Sorry to hear your sad news Cacacaz, thinking of you.

Just to report that we had our scan on Friday and all well. She asked if we wanted to know the gender and I was SO wanting to but a small shake of the head from DH reminded me that we'd agreed not to!

Lovely to see the little one again though.

Now just have the double misery of house buying/selling (we've accepted an offer on ours subject to a couple of checks, just in the process of hearing back on an offer on another) and the weather! Feel fine with the baby at the moment (though tired).

Hope everyone has a good day. Good luck for later MrsWee, hope you get my sonographer, she was lovely. Smile

Iheartpasties · 09/07/2012 12:35

wow, just caught up, takes so long! Lovely to hear all the news.

I have been feeling kicks and wriggles much more the last few days, it's lovely.

Went to the doctors today for DD, had to wait an hour! So annoying. Had to get some eczema cream for her, oh my lord its awful, she's 16 months and she wont stop scratching it all.

kissyfur · 09/07/2012 14:26

Hello, bit new to this - just joining this thread Smile

CandyPop · 09/07/2012 15:02

Thinking of u caz

Welcome kissyfur!

Today I've decided that I do not enjoy pregnancy. Night times are uncomfortable even tho I have the dream genii, I feel like a big lump and my tummy today feels really stretched out. That's my moan for the day!

I've bought from amazon some hypnobirth CDs . Just basically went for the one with the best reviews... Will report back how good it is in a couple of weeks :)

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/07/2012 15:03

Welcome kidsyfur when's your due date?

Cons app went fine this morning didn't tell me anything new. Given me a prescription of aspirin to take daily but it's the yucky dissolvable stuff.

Got my next scan in 7 weeks :)

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 09/07/2012 15:17

DH I have been given that as well (approx 12 weeks ago) and am yet to start taking it - naughty. Not sure why I havent - combination of not really getting it and never having it on me. Need to get a grip.

Feeling better about everything and looking forward to third "20" week scan a week on Friday (when I will be 24 weeks).

In the meantime I just have to survive 2 weeks at work covering for my manager - and every time they are away I end up swamped and out of my depth and ready for a nervous breakdown. JOY!

mrswee · 09/07/2012 15:22

Hello
All healthy at the scan today. The baby wasn't in a great position so he had to spend ages doing measurements over and over again.
Also I do have an anterior placenta as I suspected, which explains why I can't feel a lot of movement. The baby was moving a lot at the beging of the scan and i couldn't feel a thing.
The pictures aren't very good at all.
Still team Yellow..... but I said to DH, erm did I see something that might mena it's a boy.. DH said he'd thought he might have seen it too.. the sonographer scooted away from that area a lot, we had said we didn't want to know. However, neither of us are medical so we could well be wrong. I couldn't tell what half the stuff was anyway!

cacacaz So sorry for your bad news.
georgeeI got an irish guy this time, but i think I might have had the lady you mentioned at the 12 week scan. She was lovely and spent ages and gave us 5 pictures.
Iheartpasties My DD get bad skin. We stopped using any soap on her skin, no bubbles and very very little shampoo and only do her hair twice a week. No fabric conditioner either. It has really helped. you probably know all that stuff already though!

ValiumQueen · 09/07/2012 15:26

Have just started a name thread. Thinking of Silas from my son any feedback here or there gratefully received.

My mum just gave me a cheque to cover the double pushchair, cosy toes, and cocoon. She asked me if we were planning a 4th child. At 43, and with triplets in the family, I THINK NOT!

mrswee · 09/07/2012 15:33

valium Silas is a good strong boys name. I really like it.

Argh.. triplets at 43... just argh!

applepieinthesky · 09/07/2012 15:42

I like Silas. It?s a lovely name and slightly unusual as well which is a good thing for me.

We nearly went with Cyrus which is similar because it?s Persian and my DP is Persian. But when we mentioned it to his family they said they prefer the other name we like so it looks like he?ll be Cassius. Unless we change our minds again Grin
