I've lost my appetite nooooo!!

Queen tell me about it! We've only dtd twice in the last two weeks as I'm too nervous :/ dp has assured me baby will be fine but I can't relax properly

morecoffeemorecoffee · 21/06/2012 09:08

So talking on mn and fb is going to mean I get nothing done today!

LittleMissSnowShine · 21/06/2012 09:17

Also not a massive fan of 1st trimester sexy times - last time it was mostly cos I was so sick I didn't want anyone near me ha ha but the cramping afterwards made me a bit nervous too. I know it's normal but I was able to feel a lot more relaxed about it once I was past 12 weeks and also I didn't think the cramping was as bad later on either. It's our wedding anniversary this week tho so might consider it tomorrow night Grin

Im not doing it for the forseeable!

QueenOfTheDrama · 21/06/2012 09:28

The thing I was most worried about was DH going too 'deep' and upsetting something up there Blush this couldn't happen could it?

pinkie I've lost my appetite too the last couple of days, have to force myself to have dinner most evenings and even then I can't eat much Sad

zanywany · 21/06/2012 09:49

Morning everyone.

Just friend requested you Bean I'm SB

posypoo · 21/06/2012 09:53

Hello all, I have a 28feb/1Mar bfp which I got last night, so can I tentatively join? Congrats to all, and so sorry to hear about the mc, and your rabbit something - that's v sad :( x

posypoo · 21/06/2012 09:56

Queenof the - I had the exact same worry last night! No, I don't think it could but I still worried irrationally all the way through!

FlyingSubmarine · 21/06/2012 10:03

Hi everyone, I am so behind with everyone's news, trying to catch up now. My bloating has gone (hurray!) and yesterday I was absolutely starving, but today I feel a bit queasy (boo!)

I'm also a bit apprehensive about doing the deed for exactly the same reason as Queen, I think I might be able to relax a bit more once I have seen the midwife. (Don't have an appointment yet, next week is when I can call the GP surgery to make one for me, so no idea when it will be!)
Lovely to hear that some of you have had scans - it's so exciting :)

somethingwittynot · 21/06/2012 10:17

this waiting for my scan appt lark is killing!!!

zanywany · 21/06/2012 10:24

I've not got my doctors appointment until 2 July so god knows when I'll see my mw and get a scan date. Am I right in thinking you need to see your GP, she arranges your mw and then you mw sorts scan date?

FlyingSubmarine · 21/06/2012 10:31

Hi zany, I think it varies wildly. At my GPs, you don't need to see a doctor, you go straight to the midwife, but they won't make the appointment until you are 7 weeks (no idea how long the wait is after that, as this is my first time!)

MrsRT · 21/06/2012 10:35

I had a bleed after 'doing the deed' totally freaked out, but had a early scan and all was ok. But as you can imagine my poor DH is getting no action now! Bless him! I've told him once we reach 12 weeks I may start considering it again, hopefully I will stop feeling so bloody sick by then!!

morecoffeemorecoffee · 21/06/2012 10:36

Hi zany. Ask your surgery. They will let you know the set up in yourarea. For me, I had to see gp 1st and he referred me to the midwife attached to our surgery. Others up thread have had to contact their hospital to arrange mw appts.

morecoffeemorecoffee · 21/06/2012 10:38

MrsRT gosh, that must have been scary. Glad all is well now thank goodness. I will definitely be abstaining for the foreseeable!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 21/06/2012 10:41

I heard it can cause bleeding as the blood supply to your "undercarriage" area is so high.

Thats why I dont bother, it all feels a bit sensitive down there right now! Last think I want is any winky action. Mr P can stay away!

haloflo · 21/06/2012 10:42

zany I have to do the same as flyingsubmarine - wait til im 7/8 weeks then book in with a midwife. Did you say the appointment was because you were pg? Last time the first time I met my midwife she phoned up for my scan (I was 9 weeks though before I could get in so I think she wanted to book it pretty quickly) and then gave me my green notes to complete and she scheduled my "booking" appointment where we would go through my completed form, discuss ante natal testing and take bloods.

I didn't enjoy my pg last time due to worry so this time I'm thinking positive.

Not much action here either, zzz.

I don't think I will join the facebook group yet if thats ok - I know secret groups are secret but i'm still nervous of being outed.

morecoffeemorecoffee · 21/06/2012 10:59

Ooo, I have just seen a 'due in march' thread pop up on the antenatal boards! That made me feel like we are moving along! We're no longer the most newly pregnant!

zanywany · 21/06/2012 10:59

Yeah I mentioned I was pregnant, might ring the GP just to check their procedures. It's 9 years since I was pregnant so I've forgotten how things are done.

I'm still having problems with my DS (11) after being told my news. He is very tearful, doesn't want a baby in the family, wants me to get back with his Dad (we split 6 years ago) and is worried we won't do anything together once bump is here. Fallen out with DP too. :-(

Bring on the weekend

LoisLame · 21/06/2012 11:00

Morning everyone!

I'm feeling super grumpy today, lots of worry and negatives in my head Sad but maybe that's just the weather. I'm going to a bumps, babies and breastfeeding event today so at least I can have a chat with a mw about my worries.

On the bright side, my hayfever has calmed down a bit since it's been raining. GP gave me a nose spray and eye drops, both safe for use during pg/bf. The system to get a mw appointment has just been changed here. Need to fill in a form which they didn't have a copy of for me which gets sent to the hospital, then mw will make contact to arrange a home visit for booking in.

sazzababs · 21/06/2012 11:36

Best add myself to the ever growing list! Can't cut and paste tho as I'm on me phone!!
Sazzababs, Edinburgh, pg with DC#1, Due 8th Feb ish...

Another Scot on the list now Carries :) Not on very much, but I'll try and be a bit better with keeping up with the threads :D

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 21/06/2012 12:27
