I don't feel sick yet but my tummy is bloody huge. I'm not going to be able to keep this quiet first long at this rate!!

morecoffeemorecoffee · 23/06/2012 18:34

pinkie I used those in my last 2 pregnancies and had completely forgotten about them! I used to have a really long commute in the car and would have terrible morning sickness which was worsened by the travel! Definitely helped :)

Pinkie29 · 23/06/2012 18:39

I'll try anything last 3 days have been awful! I needed a nap after an hour in then this morning! Just having my first ever alcohol free beer, it tastes pretty much like regular beer Smile went for the Becks Blue but also noticed they do alcohol free Kopperburg and I think there was one called Tiger?

morecoffeemorecoffee · 23/06/2012 18:42

Dh has came home with some becks blue last week, but I've just not fancied a beer yet. Glad its ok though, might try one later :)

somethingwittynot · 23/06/2012 19:52

i am still sickness free! now it could come though. they say if you get a hairy belly its a boy and i had a hairy belly with DS

TheSkiingGardener · 23/06/2012 20:04

Hello all,

I've just skimmed the whole thread, it's long! And I've also just got a BFP.

Due at the end of February, this will be DC2, we already have DS1, who has just turned 2 and I'm feeling really guilty at him having to share my attention.

I feel excited, and scared and everything all at once.

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 23/06/2012 20:09

Anyone else getting the bad taste in their mouth, I'm guessing what is always described as the metallic taste?
I started getting it last night, seems worse after I nap and makes things taste horrible!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 23/06/2012 20:38

Oh no, and I still got the squits! Tummy been really grumbly, obviously my guts not the blueberry, sort of relieving, will keep fluids up Sad

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 23/06/2012 20:38

Welcome skiinggardener, congratulations!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 23/06/2012 20:39

Hi skiing! When us your due date? I have a ds too, I feel a bit the same but also that it will be so good for ds to have a sibling.

orangewellies · 23/06/2012 20:51

I can recommend the becks blue - got a real taste for them last preg and am tucking in again now! Quite handy too as we had friends round last night so was sneaking into the kitchen to fill my glass up with them so looked i was piling back the booze Wink

still mild nausea but no sickness yet here. No extra hair that i've noticed!...

orangewellies · 23/06/2012 20:53

welcome skiing! SBC yes i have the funny taste constantly in my mouth, can't quite say it is metallic but i'm thinking its the same thing, yuck isn't it?

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 23/06/2012 21:11

I think I do too, water tastes Ming today.

LittleMissSnowShine · 23/06/2012 21:20

Pinkie - alcohol free kopparberg is pretty nice, Ikea even do their own alcohol free pear cider so if you're buying bits for the nursery pick yourself up a 6 pack!

Skiing - Also have DS who will be 2 in Aug and also feeling a bit guilty since he has had so much attention showered upon him since day 1 but i'm hoping he'll really love having a sibling in the long run. Beginning toilet training with him at the min, it will be bliss to get him out of nappies, even during the day, and have a bit of a nappy holiday before new LO emerges.

Have the worst sore throat tonight - i'd love a massive hot whisky/lemsip cocktail but tea will have to do!

You can still have hot honey and lemon LittleMissSnowShine

I'm a bit vague about my dates unfortunately, best guess I think is 26th of February.

My DS is thinking about potty training too, lots of liking the idea, but not seeing it through! Being nappy free would be nice. I went in to his room tonight and gave him an extra kiss... He'll be fine I'm sure but I think it's such a special bond when you've spent so much time just the two of you.

I'll be on the Becks Blue as well. Apart from going to Munich and bringing back some good alcohol free I think it's the best option.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 23/06/2012 21:41

My ds is 16 months. He's still not speaking and crawling, I can't imagine him getting potty trained!!

NicJayne · 23/06/2012 21:45

Hey Bean ha you made me laugh! I guess we must have been dtd at roughly the same time Blush Grin!

So glad you said about the hair thing - ive noticed on the nips and my eyebrow hair is growing super fast! Eek!

Has anyone moved away from underwired bras now? I only just read about that on the internet. Is there a time to move, or just whenever? My boobs are def getting bigger (always a bonus for a little old A cup like me!) so I reckon I'll be in new bras soon anyway!

QueenOfTheDrama · 23/06/2012 21:58

nic apparently we should be wearing non-underwired bras? I still haven't bought any new ones but really need to soon as my current bras are getting more and more uncomfortable by the day!

I also have the squits! Blush Also keep feeling like I need to go but then get there and nothing happens?!

Welcome to the newbies and congratulations Smile

I like the sound of the sickness bands, will look into them as will try anything to make myself feel a little better than I do now. Is it obvious what they are though?

I'm another one suffering with tiredness. Had to sleep for an hour this afternoon and will be heading back to bed shortly I think. Feel a bit mean leaving DH watching tv downstairs alone every night but I just can't keep my eyes open!

TheSkiingGardener · 23/06/2012 22:01

What's this about underwired bras? Never had that with DS1 and didn't have a problem with breastmilk. Is that what it's about.

Also the chance of me finding a 42J soft cup that's not hideous is slim!

dreamydays · 23/06/2012 22:05

Hi all, can I join? I got my bfp a couple of weeks ago but have been on holiday since then. Due date around 14 Feb, I think.

Big wave to the familiar faces from the June ttc thread!

Haven't read back much but first posts I see are on hairy nips - no modesty here then! Can't say I've noticed that yet. NicJayne I'm moving away from underwired bras when I can (ie when the others aren't in the wash!) as they're so uncomfortable. Didn't realise during my first pregnancy and got a good telling off from the fitting lady in M&S.

Holiday ending tomorrow but I have an early scan coming up on Fri, yay. Looking forward to it as some of the time I can't believe I'm actually pregnant...

BeanDunne · 23/06/2012 22:21

so nic seeing as we are fuck buddies in a manner of speaking we can be birthing buddies too. Grin

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 23/06/2012 22:23

Grin bean!

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 23/06/2012 22:30

skiing in similar boat to you, ds just turned 2 and when I first got my BFP I felt so guilty every time I looked at him, I felt bad that he wouldn't get 100% of my attention once the baby arrives.... DH thought I was bonkers Blush can you let me know how the potty training goes, am planning to start in the next few weeks Confused

I wore an under wired bra for the first six months or so if last pregnancy, I breast fed for over a year too and wire underwired after a month after childbirth and had no problems with milk ducts. When at home I go braless or wear sports bra, but I just feel so unsupported when wearing non wired bra I hate it. Think it's all an m&s gimmick. They always get my size wrong anyway, prefer to go to bravissimo.

Midwife appointment on Thursday. Got really busy day tomorrow, and busy week ahead at work so the days should fly by!

QueenOfTheDrama · 23/06/2012 23:03

Hi dreamy welcome to the thread Smile

I think my bras are uncomfortable because they've gotton too tight for me. Not sure whether to stick with underwired for the support but in a bigger size or whether that's really frowned upon? Once I'm home from work I've been having to take my bra off straight away to get some relief. I'm a tad confused about the whole thing to say the least!

morecoffeemorecoffee · 24/06/2012 05:51

Been awake since 4something! Can't sleep and hungry so after a cup of tea and some toast, I'm now watching birth stories on home and health!
