Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
scollister · 26/04/2012 00:48

Halloooo ladies, bumps and babies! I'm still very pregnant. Growth scan estimates each baby at about 7lbs! My consultant was quite shocked (or impressed) that I could still walk :)
My c-section has now been moved from 1st May to 3rd May as there's some anaethetists thing going on which means all Tuesdays ops have been moved - I will be 37 + 5 by then, not sure if they will stay in that long or whether I can cope with the heartburn for another week. Main thing is blood and BP all fine so babies okay!
Hope all u new mums are getting more than 2 hrs sleep and bit of you time.
Who diagnosed or referred u for your muscle separation, I am definitely going to need some help getting muscles rehabilitated!
Hope everyone is feeling well and being looked after xxx

rednellie · 26/04/2012 03:19

Your tummy should be checked by everyone post birth as muscle separation is very common. My midwives checked mine, then I had it confirmed by the physio. I've got a 3cm widening to 4cm and then back down to 1/2cm. And I've got a lovely little hernia above my belly button.

Basically, it's about activating the transverse abdominals which is the big strand of muscles under your belly button...Apparently there's a very good book called The Mummy tummy that helps...

Thanks Rednellie, will look into as mine never recovered after c-section for DD1.

DiffedAgainDachs · 26/04/2012 09:28

Waves to BB3 and anyone else who remembers me losing my twins last year. Just to update you, I had my little girl, Camellia, on 16th April - surprise EMCS as I was expecting her by CS on 17th, but my waters broke early. 7lb 7oz and she's lovely, although seems to be nocturnal!

goingmadtrying · 26/04/2012 09:28

desiren so cute they look like they'd fallen out on the first one lol :) absolutely beautiful.x

goingmadtrying · 26/04/2012 09:30

waves at diffs i don't think i was on the thread when you were but remember the name, so sorry for your loss, but what happy news congratulations on the safe arrival of your daughter Grin thank you for coming back to share your news xx

BB3 · 26/04/2012 09:32

Oh Desiren what beautifully handsome little men you have made! They look so alert and just scrumptious.

scollister frustrating for you that they've moved it back but those babies will enjoy the extra cooking time xxx

BB3 · 26/04/2012 09:36

Crossed posts!

Oh dachs you've absolutely made my day! Huuugge congratulations on your lovely little girl, beautiful name and a great weight. Well done you! Oh yay! Do you have any pics?

DiffedAgainDachs · 26/04/2012 10:05

I will try to add some to my profile, but I've never done that before so don't know how to do it!

baileyslover · 26/04/2012 10:21

Hiya guys, just a quickie as feeling grotty. Nothing major just a cold but it has absolutely wiped me out. Just one extra thing that my body can't cope with on top of growing 3 babies Smile

Welcome newbies, lots of handholding over the next few months!
20 week scan on Monday fingers crossed no problems are found.

baileyslover · 26/04/2012 10:23

BB3 · 26/04/2012 12:01

scollister · 26/04/2012 13:39

diffed congratulations on the safe arrival of your little girl! I wasn't on the thread last year and would like to extend my condolences for your sad loss. xxx

Kazar99 · 26/04/2012 14:54

Hello everyone, trying to catch up with the thread as not been on for a while so apologies if I miss anyone. Hello to all the newbies that have joined recently.

desiren congratulations. It sounds like the perfect labour & birth and they are both gorgeous :)

dream hope your two start to settle and feed better soon and that you can get a few hours sleep.

diffed congratulations on the birth of your daughter and condolences for your loss.

bigboobs and scollister great weights for babies and not long to go now. Fingers crossed for you :)

baileys hope you feel better soon and hope your scan goes well on Monday.

goingmad :) for scan results and not long left at work now.

rednellie hope that you are coping with 3 and that DD is getting used to the babies being round.

I'm just back from my 20 week scan (well, 19+3 really) and both babies are looking good. Only problem could be that one placenta is covering my cervix so, unless it moves as I get bigger, then looks like I'll be saving a CS :( but suppose planned is better than emergency. Apart from that, I'm well although bump has grown massively in past two weeks! Have decided to finish at 31 weeks so only 11 weeks left at work :) suddenly doesn't seem very long to go!

BB3 · 26/04/2012 16:00

kazar, don't panic too much. I had placenta previa (and it was actually lodged in the OS 4cms down) and my consultant was still confident it could move out the way at 36 weeks so there is plenty of time for moving! I was having a planned CS and ended up having an emergency CS in the end and that was fine too!

goingmadtrying · 26/04/2012 16:21

hi kazar at my 20 week scan my placenta was very low not covering the whole cervix but what little i was told not to worry, couldn't believe how much it had moved this time at 25 weeks. my consultant said if i was to deliver today i would need cs but she is confident it will keep moving!! i was like you thinking how can.it move but it does :) great news everything else was good, roll on 11 weeks Grin

rednellie · 26/04/2012 21:02

dachs I'd just crossed over with you on this thread - congratulations on your little girl. Such a beautiful name. xx

desiren - CUTIES. Ah, they're so lovely....

OP posts:
bigboobsatlast · 27/04/2012 07:56

Congratulations Dachs - I wasn't on the thread when you were but just wanted to pass on my congratulations - and I love the name too!!

Desiren - those babies are GORGEOUS! Hope you are getting on well.

Baileys, can't believe you have your 20 week scan next week, that seems to have come round so quick! Probably not for you though - good luck with the scan I am sure everything will be just fine. And yes, rest rest rest! I can only imagine how hard your body must be working at the moment. When do you think you might finish work?

One more weekend of work to go for you Going!

Scollister, those weights are amazing! and not long to go now, even though they have put the date back. If you are anything like me you have had ENOUGH by now and just want to meet your babies.

My best friend picked me up last night to take me out for dinner and when we got to the pub two of my other lovely friends were there too! Really nice surprise. Got some lovely pressies and some babysitting vouchers! ha ha! I am not sure if they know what they are letting themselves in for! I ate a ridiculous amount and had a glass of wine and seriously thought I was going to go in to labour last night after all the food!

The friends I was out with last night all used to run together and the other three were all talking about going running and it just made me want to get my body back again and get fit! I very nearly signed up for the great south run yesterday but thought better of it - going from zero to 10 miles in just 4 months would not happen - and I know from having DD that when I cant do exercise I really want to, but when I can I can be arsed anyway! And when am I going to have the time to go out running anyway?!!

3 days to go!!

DreamingOfPeace · 27/04/2012 22:32

Gorgeous babies desiren, just delicious :-)

Congratulations dachs!! How wonderful. I joined after you'd left, but read the thread and the link to your other thread while you were in hospital when you lost the twins. I'm so pleased you have your beautiful daughter now, her name is lovely. I hope you can enjoy this time with C without it bringing back the grief over losing the twins.

baileyslover · 29/04/2012 20:35

bigboobs good luck for tomorrow. Hope you haven't had a too wet soaked weekend.
going have you finished work now? Bet that is a big relief. I still have another 9 weeks but not sure I will get that far the rate my bump is growing Smile
20 week scan tomorrow so keeping fingers crossed xx

BB3 · 29/04/2012 21:00
