Thank you, people on here are very supportive.
Sadly i'm not in yorkshire, another friend would've been good! Its his parents house which we rented from them and his parents bought us that car, he refused to pay to have mine mot'd and as i'm a sahm i couldn't afford it myself so have been sharing one for the last 2 years. I knew it was all control but couldn't do anything about it, he wouldn't spend £500 on my car but spent £350 on a new bike yet can't see that he is selfish. Haven't got any practical support for once baby arrives but for now we are strill in the same house so he can look after our son sometimes. Its awful though trying to be civil whilst avoiding him.
He won't tell his children who are here this weekend and is being really nice so they think he is a lovely person, sadly can't make the effort for our son who is only 3! he spends the entire week shouting at me in front of him.
So its all a bit stressful, but at least baby is moving about so hopefully he is fine.
Sorry for offloading on here, much rather be sharing happy baby news but hopefully that won't be long now and due to reduced movements i have another scan in 2 weeks so can't wait to see my little boy again.

KLou111 · 18/06/2011 10:24

So sorry Nhan, is that definitely it? Such a sad time for you in respect that it's meant to be one of the most exciting. We're all here for you, big hugs OOOOOOOOOO (they are hugs btw)

Wishwales any more info on how Morgan is getting on?

littlemisslozza · 18/06/2011 10:44

NHAN sorry to hear you are going through a hard time. Do you have good friends who will help when your baby arrives? Thinking of you.

MrsVidic sometimes you just have to pick your battles don't you?! Pestering for Weetabix for tea sounds pretty good really (compared to say crisps!) but not a balanced meal I know. You could think of it as a semi-victory Wink!

wishwales · 18/06/2011 10:46

Morgan update: Our lovely 8 weeks early lady is absolutely thriving in the NICU. The doctors have said that they have NO concerns with her at all and she is developing through the stages/levels very quickly. Four rooms in SCBU from very intensive to nursery which is where they get ready to come home. She is already in room 3 of 4 which is the high need room but they said she should be out of there, out of her incubator, into a proper cot, and in the nursery by mid-week next week! We fed her the first bottle yesterday and she did so well even though the suck/swallow/breath capability doesn't normally come until at least 34 weeks gestation. She was 33 yesterday. She will be on her full feeds on Monday night and tolerating everything great. We are the proudest parents!!

As a side note, and please no politics, I was medically ordered for Morgan's safety NOT to breastfeed. I am on 4 different psych meds and the combo could be toxic and damage her brain through the breast milk. I want you all to know that I understand the serious disappointment of finding out you can not breast feed and I want to offer myself up to support anyone who goes through this. For me, it was devastating. I was expressing and pumping for three days while the medical team researched everything and consulted with the experts in Newcastle, only to have all the breast milk thrown away :(

If any of you have specific questions, please ask away privately or on here.

KLou111 · 18/06/2011 10:55

So happy for you Wishwales sounds like Morgan is thriving bless her :)
Big hugs all round xxxxx

MrsVidic · 18/06/2011 11:37

Congrats wishw sounds like your doing a brilliant job with Morgan! Please dont give yourself a hard time re breastfeeding, well done for all the pumping etc I can only imageon how difficult it was to express in the early days as I didn't until a few weeks in. One of the hardest things to remember when your a mum is that trying your best is good enough.

littlemisslozza · 18/06/2011 18:25

Wishwales glad to hear that Morgan is coming along so well, brilliant news. PLease don't beat yourself up about not being able to breastfeed her. I expressed for about 5 days in DS1's first week as he struggled to feed and it is hard work round the clock just to get a tiny bit of milk off each time, how demoralising having to throw it away Sad. Take care, thinking of you.

LifeOfKate · 18/06/2011 20:40

So sorry NHAN, what a horrible and stressful situation to be in :( I am in Lincolnshire if that's any help?

Wishwales - Great to hear Morgan is doing so well :o Like others say, please don't beat yourself up about the breastfeeding :)

Not a great deal going on here, except that we went and picked up a double buggy today. Bought it from ebay and it's not actually the one advertised Hmm but after some thinking, we've decided it's fine :)

JenniL1977 · 18/06/2011 21:21

wishwales you don't have to explain yourself lovely, whether it had been simply a choice you made not to bf, or like has happened it's been forced on you. Please don't give yourself a hard time, you've done everything you can to keep that little girl safe for so long, and you're going to be fantastic when she gets home. You've really been through the mill. Do you maybe need to talk to someone at the hospital? Maybe even just an hour with a counsellor might help, I'm sure your hospital will have one specialising in NICU babies.
Sorry if I'm interfering. Sending all love xx

Yukana · 19/06/2011 10:44

wishwales I'm so glad Morgan is doing well, and don't worry about the breastfeeding. One of my best friends was devastated when she couldn't breastfeed, I was on the phone with her at the time and she was crying, but her little boy just wouldn't latch on. She beat herself up about it for a couple of weeks then calmed down. Being unable to breastfeed does not make you a bad mother and Morgan will grow up to love you anyway, bf or no bf. :) It is fantastic she will be able to come home soon!

Update from me (Many apologies on not being here much!):

DP got the job, he has a six month trial and an open starting date, as they are giving us time to find a house closer to where he works. We still haven't found a place for our family but three possible places have come up and we're in close contact with a really friendly estate agents so I don't think it'll be long now.

I feel like my energy levels have gone up a bit, perhaps that is the iron at work. I'm taking 2x ferrous sulphate + 2 sachets of spatone a day with orange juice, or 3x ferrous sulphate + 1 sachet of spatone. Still need more vegetables in my diet but for now I'm happy with remembering to take my tablets!

My pelvis is constantly sore (even more so when I walk for long periods) and it clicks when I shift my weight whilst standing, or when I walk. It's painful and I have told my physiotherapist about it, which she has advised me to keep her updated but to try pelvic exercises and the support belt. The support belt doesn't really suit my hips though, it's uncomfortable, slides around, and I can't use it whilst sitting. My family have been supportive and try to help me with things, even standing up from a sitting position has become quite painful. Could it be spd? I've heard about it, but don't know whether it really could be.

Take care everyone, I shall read your posts when I return from visiting my grandparent's. (Very eager great-grandparents-to-be!)

bettyboo83 · 19/06/2011 15:43

Hello girls, I hope everyone's weekends have been good, in spite of the rain (or is that just up North??).
I've just finished 4 nights at work and they were absoloutely horrendous! So so busy and I'm exhausted but...they were my last night shifts until 2012!!! Until the real night shifts begin Wink I've only got 2 more weeks at work then I'm done Grin
Sorry that you're having such a rough time NHAN, I hope things improve for you soon.
I'm so pleased for you WishWales that Morgan is doing so well, sounds like she'll be home before you know it.
DP is being a star and has sorted out all the junk that was in the 'nursey', most of it is on EBay I think! I can finally decorate in there now, wahoo. Everything for the baby is still in boxes and I'm starting to get a bit panicky! Hopefully there's still plenty of time Smile
Take care xxx

KLou111 · 19/06/2011 18:36

Congrats to your OH Yukana bet that's a relief.

I bet you feel great now Betty knowing that's the last nights til next year (work wise lol!)
Tell me about panicky!! Thankfully the plasterer is in tomorrow for a few days so can finally get the nursery done once all has dried cos all the stuff from the room being plastered is in there. Need to book a carpet fitter as we have quite a big lounge and we want to reuse the carpet in there and put some of the carpet on the landing and some of it in the room being plastered, then we can wood the lounge floor. So until it's carpeted upstairs, nursery is still full of junk! Fingers crossed someone will have a spare hour at the end of this week :)
On a good note, have ordered the nursery wardrobe :)

Yukana soooo pleased to hear some good news from you! Brilliant, well done to your DP and hope it means that you are happily settled soon. Sounds like the iron is doing it's job too Smile

Rootatoot · 19/06/2011 21:32

Back from weekend in Wales. Totally knackered from long drive home but it was great to get away. Friday was total wash out weather wise and DH brought laptop and was working all day, but I took myself off to St David's and had fun anyway in all the lovely shops. Weather was pretty good yesterday and today so got down the gorgeous beach and had fun with dog :) Was brilliant. Even got to visit one of our fave pubs and I had a little half of guinness which felt naughty but nice ! kLouWe pass Carmarthan on way back - we've never been in but MIL likes a trip to the shops there I think. Wales is just gorgeous (well, MOST of it ! ;)

Anyway, enough about me.

Winter I can't believe in this day and age anyone gives a monkey's that a mum to be isn't married? Did I miss something? That's crappy that anyone makes you feel bad. I'm not really looking forward to my antenatal class tbh. It's only 2 hours a couple of saturdays away but really do NOT want to watch birth videos!

NHan So so sorry you are going through such a tough time. I don't know that I can really say anything helpful, only that I'm thinking of you and really feel for you. It won't be easy but you'll get there. I hope you have some good mates around you. xx

alibaba76 · 19/06/2011 22:57

32 weeks today! Can't believe how the second half of this pregnancy has flown. My week this week consists of a doctors appointment (to re-do blood sugar test), 32 week MW check, a dentist appointment and my driveway getting mono blocked from Wed onwards. Gonna be a stressful week methinks!

Leilandri · 20/06/2011 09:09

Morning everyone :)

7 weeks today til I meet my newborn (ELCS) can't believe it's getting so close!

It's my DS's 2nd birthday today, and I have spent the morning so far (started our day at 5am Hmm) being really emotional and crying that my "baby" is growing up! Damn those pregnancy hormones. I'm gonna be a red-eyed wreck by the end of the day. I cried during his birthday last year too - someone tell me that it gets easier as they get older!!!!

Hope everyone is doing ok out there? NHAN My thoughts and best wishes are with you.

MorningsMadness · 20/06/2011 09:28

Wow Leilandri, I have tried not to look at weeks but only have 6 until the twins arrive - yikes, panic time!
I can no longer put socks on, see half of my bump, walk up the stairs without huffing like an old hag or drink/eat anything without heartburn ... dream pregnancy anyone?!

KLou111 · 20/06/2011 10:46

Good God it's getting close isn't it?!?!?!?
Well, it's between 5.4, 7.4 and 9.4 weeks here depending if s/he is 2 weeks early, on time, or 2 weeks over lol!! My God it sounds so scary when you put it like that!!!

Plasterer in today yippee!! He's starting in the lounge rather than the bedroom, which we were not prepared for as DH has a few things to patch up in there that he wanted to talk to the plasterer about what he needed to do to get it done for tomorrow, so he's got to do it today arrrrrgh! Not a happy bunny as he's already 'planned his day' but he said it doesn't matter as long as he can get on tomorrow.

Can't wait, going to look so different!! :)

Hi everyone, I can't believe there is already a baby here in the world, welcome to it Morgan Smile.

Yukana - it definately is SPD. My hips click when I walk up the stairs too. My NHS physio here has given me a tubigrip bandage which goes over my hips and bump. It is lovely and comforting.

I feel a tit today as I woke up and couldn't feel my baby move so at 4.50 I rang the birth centre and they said have a cup of tea and a piece of toast and see what happens and sure enough 20 mins later I started to feel some kicks Blush They were really nice about it. This baby is so totally unlike my last baby who constantly kicked.

KLou111 · 20/06/2011 13:38

Don't worry Ohanotherone I hadn't felt a lot a couple of weekends ago for a couple of days, I'd eat, drink, eat sweets, choc etc and still not a lot. Went in on the Monday and as soon as the lady put the belt on, bubs started kicking away and has been the same since! A lot of movement was showing on the monitor though that I couldn't feel. Better to be safe though :)

MrsVidic · 20/06/2011 16:13

hello ladies!

Well I have had a very eventful Hmm day? WARNING TMI ALLERT

Basically I went to the loo and was wiping myself and felt something down below sticking out!?!
So I make an appt with the midwife (I had my 34 week appt on /friday anyway) for this afternoon at 3pm. Anyway I go to it, she checks me out and ive had a slight prolapse Shock
she does the normal appt things and i'm 3/5 engaged Lo and measuring 32 cm.
She advised me to see gp after birth and hopefully it should go back up? anyone got any experience in this?

RugbyWidow7 · 20/06/2011 16:34

wishwales, I'm really sorry to hear what you've been through with breast feeding- I can only begin to imagine what it must feel like. I hope you're starting to come to terms with it now.

Yucana - great to hear your partner has a new job - that's fab news! Good luck with the house.

MrsV - that must have beeen a bit of a shock for you! Did the MW say whether it would be likely to stay as it is now until you've had the baby?

We went to a wedding on sat and I'm very proud to say I managed to stay up and out until 1am (a new record)! Didn't get to sleep until 3am though, so still feeling the effects now! It was a fun day though!

KLou111 · 20/06/2011 22:27

So, the next drama thing for you all from me. Just been to the loo, wiped and my 'wee' drops are really really pale pinky/orange?!?!?!? Not discharge, just wee consistancy. Came downstairs, told DH, and he said 'you're not in labour are you?' now am really confused. Really sick of this pregnancy now, feel as if I am panicking about everything!! Help!!

OP posts:
Rootatoot · 20/06/2011 22:52

KLou.. What have you been eating? Can make pink wee if you have beetroot etc.

KLou111 · 20/06/2011 22:56

Nothing different from normal Root, no red/purple/pink foods that may do anything to my wee
