Thanks everyone, I think I was tired last night I do feel better this morning about it all!

Japh I have a 4d scan booked for a week today :-) very exciting!

Miffster · 02/09/2010 10:43

NotSo, I think Buddha Bellies would be great if you are coming back to yoga because it has 3 workouts - a beginner, intermediate and advanced one of 30, 45 and 60 mins each.

I do the advanced one when I have an hour to spare but the intremeduate one is fine and the beginner's one great for getting confidence back.

The woman demo-ing ( Nicole Croft) looks a bit fierce but I close my eyes when I do it and drift off. There is very little music - which is good as you can stick your own on if you want - and her voice is hypnotic/monotonous depending on your mood. It starts and ends with breathing and relaxation and proceeds very slowly and clearly with alternate positions clearly demonstrated so I feel very safe doing it. there is also a very inspiring intro which makes me cry when I watch it, lots of pics of women having babies naturally and looking exultant and joyful as well as shattered
(don't worry, no fanjo shots).

PS: Lovely bump pics ladies!
I can't work out how to update my profile, I will try and sort it out this weekend except have SiL, her husband, her 2 noisy boys all staying over in our 1 bedroom flat!!

All weekend! She decided it was a good idea even though she has never seen our flat and that it would be fine for them all to sleep on the floor on air mattresses.

Well on her head be it.

Let's see if I stay serene after all that!...

Thanks miffster I will look for it today, lets hope I manage to stay awake this time.

laurenamium · 02/09/2010 10:54

Oh my word Miffster I do not envy you in the slightest! All those people in a one bedroom??Thats crazy!

Miffster · 02/09/2010 11:01

They won't be in the bedroom lauranamium! There's only room for one person to fit between the bed and the wall standing up!

They will be on the living room floor and on a small sofa bed in the study/box room.
It strikes me as completely stupid that they want to do it when they can afford a family room in a travellodge but they invited themselves so their choice. They do go camping a lot so I suppose they are used to it.

I am not moving out of my bed with DH!

This has made me chuckle! If your anything like me you will be pulling your hair out with the mess after an hour! Much rather you than me!

crazykat · 02/09/2010 12:52

MrsS DD ended up getting in with me at 6am for about 15 mins before she drove me nuts with fidgeting constantly and following me when I moved. I doubt I'd get any sleep if she was in with me all night. The hot water should be sorted within a week - a very long time with two toddlers.

Miffster I don't envy you having people stay in a one bed flat. I couldn't put up with having that many stay in our house. I'd go nuts.

kellestar · 02/09/2010 13:06

lauren I'm also a little leaky at the moment, right nip only. We're getting through results time and trying to prepare for registration on Monday and think the stress is just getting to me. I've had to borrow a couple of breast pads from SiL, for emergencies.

miffster I'm not coping very well with crowds and large groups at the moment, a flat full of people scares me :) you may want to distract them with things to do in the area for when you want a peaceful five minutes. If you give DH a nod he can whisk them off for you.

I swim a bit, but our community pool closed for the summer to be refurbished and will be open again in a few weeks, I'm missing it, and flatly refuse to pay £6.50 at the big pool next town over. I've been doing PF exercises and go for lots of walk abouts. I was hoping physio would refer me to the antenatal exercise group, which runs 2-3pm on wednesdays, work won't let me have the time off unless I'm referred by physio. It's the only antenatal exercise group in the area. I was disappointed by what's not offered. I don't think I could cope with zumba or anything hardcore. :)

Doris Day Q'sera came on the radio this morning and LO went bonkers, bopping and kicking about. The only other music that's set him off like that before was Johnny Cash. Anyone else had reactions like that?

kellestar no reactions like that yet this time but when I was pg the first time with DD - Road to Amarillo was very popular and we were running a pub so it was ALWAYS on! when she was born we kept a radio on low in her room as she seemed to like it - I walked in one day to check on her nap and found her "boogeying away" to it in her sleep - she had got her arms out of her swaddling wrap and everything, they were above her head as if she was at a rave Grin she was only about 2 weeks old!

squistle · 02/09/2010 13:27

Afternoon :)

25 weeks today :o Popped into hosp today to get a check up as my obgyn should have been back of holiday. I asked if she was there and they said no....she's not coming back Shock!!!!!!! Apparently the doctor I was booked in with was only a locum! I have changed docs now and this one is really nice but I was a little pissed off that they didn't bloody tell me about her when I went in for the very first time! Ahggghhhg.

Anyway, baby is doing fine :) 800g today and is still due 16th dec according to scans. Going for a diabetes test and another round of blood tests in two weeks. My new doctor also told me that i shouldn't be taking a baby aspirin everyday and has taken me off them. Apparently that course of action is only for people who have recurrent miscarriages, which I haven't had, so I have been taking them for nothing Angry

Chooster · 02/09/2010 13:42

Yikes, another week Crazycat!! Thats ages with no hot water with 2 LO's... You poor thing, is your parents close by?

Great news on the possible house MrsS - and the working from home too! I'm hoping to stay at home tomorrow - would need to get the bus to work and its a fair trek from drop off to my office and dont think I can face it.

Sorry to all those with emotional outbursts! I'm feeling fairly even a the moment - no hormonal reactions Smile. Although I am feeling very heavy and uncomfortable... How can I go another 12 weeks!!! Bump feels and loos so big - really must make another midwife appt - I didn't bother arranging the 24ish week GP appt, but will catch up with MW soon. Apart from my size I dont have any worries at the moment, except a Q about GBS. I was tested positive previously and was quite happy to get IV anti-bios last time. I would like to be tested again although I understand that you can vary between positive and negative. I dont want to be taking any risks though...

Spanishlady - My mum is also a force to be reckoned with Smile!! She's a very strong character and although we get along really well, I definately wouldn't want her at my labour, although I understand that you said you would be quite happy for her to be there. The only consideration is if her presence is going to spoil things for your DH - I know the focus is, as it should be, on the mother but its a very special and important day for your DH and he wont want to look back on it as feeling left out.

Oh no... run out of time before a meeting - better head off!

Miffster · 02/09/2010 14:21

Much rejoicing over here!
DH has convinced his sister to have us over to stay at HER place, not our place, which is much better as she has a spare bedroom for us, as opposed to us putting 2 adults and 2 boys 10 and 12yrs on the sitting room floor of our 1 bed flat.

It turned out that she had forgotten that she had invited herself & her family over so I have had 2 weeks of worrying about it for nothing!Biscuit

kellestar · 02/09/2010 14:29

miffster what a relief! Sounds much more relaxing going to them. :) At least the boys can run riot in there own room.

MrsSnaplegs · 02/09/2010 14:42

miffster That is good news - now breathe Grin

I have just sworn at my boss Blush - told him I was thoroughly pissed off with being made to look like a numpty because my predecessor hadn't been doing her job properly (amongst other things) I think he feels a bit guilty about it now - especially as he's off from tomorrow (again) doing a charity event for a week - admittedly he is doing a marathon a day for over a week so is not going to be sitting on his laurels but why organise it the busiest week we have of the year! Rant over!

likethemapples · 02/09/2010 16:04

hello all

If any of you ladies with hurty pelvises / PGP etc. are in London, a friend recommended the British School of Osteopaths Expectant Mothers Clinic to me. I've only had one treatment so far but it made a big difference and was well worth the £20.

Just had my 26 week appointment and the midwife told me she thinks I'm having a girl because their heart beats are usually faster than boys! Taking it with a pinch of salt.

Must get on with work...

crazykat · 02/09/2010 17:05

My parents are a five minute walk up the road chooster plus they drive so it's not too bad. It's a pain for washing up though coz I've gotta mess about boiling the kettle.

Found out DH is going to be away next week and maybe the week after Sad. What makes it worse is that he doesn't get any allowence for food when he's away, just accomodation, so although the shopping costs a little bit less he needs twice what we save with him.

OnlyWantsOne · 02/09/2010 17:29

crazycat that sounds rubbish, DP used to commute weekly, and it was rubbish - I love that we can live together full time. Is there any one else around that can help you out?

Just bought a new car. Stress.com!!

crazykat · 02/09/2010 20:50

My parents are just up the road so it's not too bad. The worst part is the DC's are old enough to realise he's not there and wake up looking for him and DD is a nightmare to get to sleep. He used to be away all the time until DD was 6months, since then it's only been the odd week or two. The last time he was away was january and they were 1.11 and 11months so didn't really notice to the extent of looking for him every morning.

Wholelottalove · 02/09/2010 21:06

Hi all. Just back from yoga. Had to do a lot of modified poses because pelvis sore, but feel so much better - more relaxed and chilled.

We're off on holiday tomorrow, so I may not be around for a week or so (although actually I think the place has broadband so I may be on more than usual!)

Hope everyone has a nice week. x

japhrimel · 02/09/2010 22:33

My carseat (Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix) and base (Easyfix) arrived today - OMG the car seat seems huge and the base is so heavy. I hadn't realised how heavy it would be! Shock

MrsSnaplegs · 03/09/2010 06:07

Morning all! Yey it's Friday - home today - sooo looking forward to it this week! Off to River Cottage Autumn Fair on Saturday - really excited as I'm a huge fan of HFW and his programmes! DH bought us both a night out there as our Xmas pressie but the event was snowed off - then ended up pg so haven't really been able to go to anything. Thought this was something whole family could do and then will save the other vouchers for next year as would really love to do one of the foraging days Grin Can't wait to be in a house down here although have missed all the autumn fruits here as no was of getting them back or preserving them here at the mo Hmm

Dream plan for retirement in a couple of years is to have a small holding with a bit of land and be semi self sufficient. Just need to win the lottery to afford the house and land!

DuelingFanjo · 03/09/2010 08:35

Me too MrsSnaplegs - the smallholding and the lottery win wish. I do have somewhere in Ireland which my dad owned and left to me and my siblings but it's a little to remote for us at the moment :( it's such a waste. I really need to visit Ireland again but have no idea how I will manage it before 2012 now.

Japhrimel I am being given a carseat, Maxicosi too I think, but not sure if it comes with a base.

have a great holiday wholelottalove

Bad night's sleep last night but mostly due to the fact that DH slept in with me and so when I woke for my 4am pee he started snoring. I just wondered... it's normal to feel thirsty in teh middle of the night isn't it?

hettiew · 03/09/2010 09:04

Happy Friday everyone!

Mrssnapelegs: I went to a river cottage event last year and LOVED it. Had the best evening ever, hope you do too.

Dueling: I've been waking up totally parched for weeks now, so yeah, I hope it's normal!
