OMG, I went to the physio today for my SPD/PGP and I feel TONS better. She did a load of manual manipulation of my pelvis - basically one side was totally locked which was causing all the pain on the other side. It was going up my back too. She said she was surprised I had the level of functionality I did considering what it was like. I am still sore, but different type pain IYSWIM and she warned me it's going to take a few days to settle down.
For anyone anywhere near the Tewkesbury area with SPD, please consider travelling to see this physio, she is phenomenal. She is an expert in the condition and has spoken on Radio 4 about it etc. She has people who have suffered for years come from all over the country and stay with her so she can sort them out. If you're nowhere near Gloucestershire, phone the Pelvic Partnership to see if anyone else is nearer you.
I'll let you know how it goes as it settles over next few days but so far that is the best £50 I've ever spent.
MrsS thank you for bread recipe! My bread turned out ok, but a bit heavy and also it weirdly didn't smell of much - was expecting that gorgeous bread baking smell to waft through the house. Have no idea why. I used Allinson flour and dried yeast.
Japhrimel hope you get the itching sorted, sounds worrying. I got a random call at about 33 weeks last time saying a blood test had come back with something wrong and to come up the hospital. Hoofed it up there crapping myself to be told I had OC. They just gave me a leaflet and said they'd need to induce early. Then a day or so later another test came back saying I was fine. Random.
Oh and about massages there are people who specialise in pregnancy/antenatal and will visit your house. There's two in my area and if I could afford it, I'd have a massage a week. They bring loads of pillows and stuff to make you comfy on your side.
Anyone who wants the details of the SPD physio, let me know.
