Hi,

Mr Uwila here - Mrs Uwila asked me to pass along details of our newborn, Alex, who was brought blinking (and crying, loudly) into the world at just before midday today, weighing 7lb 8oz. Or thereabouts.

Both mother and son and doing fine, albeit both are very tired. Alex did experience some initial breathing difficulties but those settled down after a few hours (a good deal of gunk in the lungs). Right now all he does is sleep... until probably midnight or so, I guess!

With best wishes

I'm so glad to hear you're home and all is well When you're up for it I'll try and arrange a SW London/Middx meet-up. I'd love to meet you and the new addition.

Bubbles, yes a meet-up would be fun. I'm looking forward to my maternity leave when I can do these things, as when I'm back at work I'll only be available on the weekends. Also, of course, Elijah and Alex are pretty close in age, so maybe they could be buddies (when they are old enough for social skills). Also, I wanted to ask you about your Hampton nursery. But I'll send you a CAT rather than change the subject on the thread (if I haven't already).

Lisalisa, Hello! and thanks for the note. How are you? How's the job? The pregnancy?

Ooooh, do tell. When's the end date? Did you get the other job? What about maternity leave? Who get's to pay for it?

Nanny has... yahoo!! She left on Friday the 13th, which was my last day of work. Actually, Friday was her last day of work. She left on Saturday morning when I was in the shower. And she didn't even say good-bye! DH thinks that's no big deal, but I think it was terribly rude of her. Oh well... The next one starts in Mid August when I return to work. It's actually nice to have my house back to myself.

Hmmm... right.... where does one put up a piccie?

Oops sorry. Got so excited I didn't finish the sentence. "Nanny has LEFT... yahoo!!" is what I meant to say.
