Just heard on the news that Mrs Beckham had her 3rd child by cs last night. They are going to put out a press release shortly for more details.

I don't think its that bad, better than the other two anyway

nightowl · 20/02/2005 20:52

ok she may be a bit of a shit singer but hell why keep slagging her off? the reasons for her three cs are nobody's business and just because it hasnt leaked into the press doesnt mean there wasnt something medical going on there. even if it wasnt, so what? its her choice. (as has been said so many times on here) i think people are unreasonably harsh on her most of the time. her husband had an affair and no-one had the least bit of sympathy for her.... and rebecca loos is milking publicity for all she is worth..has anyone seen the advert?

alux · 20/02/2005 20:57

It's easy to come to that conclusion noddy so I won't knock it. However, if you read my other posts, focusing on her has more to do with her coming into my sights (alluding to a rifle scope here) rather than to her.

I just wanted to rant about people like her in general who have no achievements to be famous for other than being famous.

As for Spice Girls being some fantastic group. My take on it is that they had fantastic marketing team, that's all. A recipe followed by a whole host of girl and boy bands since. Hence the dismal state of the music industry.

Hulababy · 20/02/2005 21:01

Pleased that they have had a healthy little boy, and all appear to be doing well. Not sure on choice of name myself, but hey. it's not my baby. Hope they all continue to do fine.

And IMO it is no one's business why she had a cs or not. Her business only. I hate all this "too posh to push" garbage, sorry. Makes me cross.

alux · 20/02/2005 21:14

Hula, no! do you honestly believed they marketed themselves? They may have been the talking heads but from their composition to all they said and did were formulae my some men and women in suits from a record company shackled together.

Think: one brunette, one blonde, one redhead, one black,...

one sporty, one 'posh', one girly, one loud, etc.

Deconstructing pop culture is pet project of mine. Shows what a nerd I am.

alux · 20/02/2005 21:15

Sorry, not hula but lockets.

jollymum · 20/02/2005 21:16

Well, my son told me his teacher told him that the baby had been born last week(?), didn't know or really care BUT, my son said he had a name that meant PEACE. His teacher told him apparantly (sp) and when I asked him to say it, he couldn't but it did sound remarkably like "HESUS" OMG, Jesus Beckham, they wouldn't, would they He also said that it was because the baby didn't know if he wanted to play for Spain or England. My son is 6 and doesn't follow football. Maybe I will be starting a thread soon myself...."Is my son physic?!" {shock]

CelluliteQueen · 20/02/2005 21:28

Excuse me, but how do you know that Mrs B isn't a Mumsnetter herself? You never know .

MistressMary · 20/02/2005 21:32

I'm certainly no fan of Posh and Becks, they get on my nerves.

However next time I would be pregnant I would want a c section.
If there is a next time ever....
And my baby has a unusual name.
Good luck to them. Did I really just say that!!!

On reflection - all respect is due to posh, I am finding being pregnant pretty tough (first baby), I am not sure if i will put myself through this a second time, so to put herself through it THREE times!!!!

However.....

piffle · 21/02/2005 09:25

well at least it will push bloody jade goodys new tits and kerry shaggerama katona and ex and his fluffy piece off the front page of heat mag...
I did hear that VB had been reclusive and perhaps had suffered fluid retention and extra pounds after eating fried food And then to engage a pilates instructor and yoga person in the last trimester
RESPECT, I could not even gerrof sofa then!!!!

nailpolish · 21/02/2005 09:55

would everyone laugh if i said i quite like the name Cruz? think its really cool!

better than Brooklyn or Romeo

Marina · 21/02/2005 10:06

It's Spanish for "cross" apparently (and let's face it he probably was about being hoicked out a week early), and usually used for girls...!?
Also, "que cruz" is a Spanish phrase for "what a hassle/PITA/bloody nuisance", so I hope the poor little guy isn't jinxed.
We don't know the medical reasons for her c-section, it sounds very likely she had it for good reason. Hope they are all home safe and sound soon.

Gobbledigook · 21/02/2005 10:12

I'm just smiling cos she's joined the 'boy gangs'!!

myermay he does sound gorgeous!

Cruz Beckham will probably look like a wee Spanish boy, with a tan!

wonder if he was named after their new best mate, Tom Cruise?

Pinotmum · 21/02/2005 10:49

Isn't Brooklyn a girl's name as well usually? I know someone with a dd called Brooklyn who is about 10 yo.

I wondered if it was Cruz as in Cruise Missile, because that's what Posh set on Becks if he cheats again!
