Just heard on the news that Mrs Beckham had her 3rd child by cs last night. They are going to put out a press release shortly for more details.

Poor old Victoria - would she be more popular if she had a flabby tum & flabby boobs?

JoolsToo · 20/02/2005 15:47

Cruz? oh well I suppose they're consistent!

donnie · 20/02/2005 15:47

what's wrong with baggy fannies ? three cheers for them I say ( baggy fannies that is). Will the name be pronounced ' Crooth' as per the correct Spanish pronunciation ?or ' Crooz' as in Tom?

snafu · 20/02/2005 15:54

Crooz, to rhyme with Loos, I expect. At least David will be able to spell it.

musicmaker · 20/02/2005 16:33

i heard a few other stars inc victoria book their c sec in early so their tummies recover faster. apparantly its in the last week or so of pregnancy that your stomach muscles split for more room for baby growth and so makes it harder to get back to pre-pregnancy.

My stomach is flat but I cant tone it like before, my muslces feel different.

Anyway thats the least if my worried, I'd be worried having a baggy fanny than a baggy tummy.

i was so shocked when i bent down a week or so after giving birth and felt all airy - i was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - I've got a bucket"... sorry.

But thank God all is back to normal now... and clench and breathe hold 3 secs... i hate those pelvic floor muscle exercise...

alux · 20/02/2005 16:43

says on the beeb link that she is ditching music for fashion design and motherhood.

Any ideas on what she will design?

velcrobott · 20/02/2005 17:21

Victoria has some serious body image problem... if she was on mumsnet and sharing her anxiety I am sure none of you would take the pxxx as you do now
Her 1st section was medically recommended. A 2nd section is often offered though it is actually STILL safer for baby to be born vaginally (most women don't go through it though,..... so in that she is like most women)... and there are VERY few women who have a VBA2C.... why would she ?

noddyholder · 20/02/2005 17:23

she lives in a world where looks are everything ,her dp has had affairs galore and public humiliation followed and she has just had a baby I am no celeb fan but fgs give her a break!

Give ME a break. I am tired of seeing celebrities who are famous for, well, being famous. Stick your neck out and expect everyone to think 'how wonderful' Someone will throw stones.

I don't care what side of the bed she wakes up on. I am just having a bit of cheap fun this evening.

noddyholder · 20/02/2005 17:40

i am also bored with celebs but why slate them?Who knows what we'd all do in her shoes

alux · 20/02/2005 17:51

I rarely slate them. I am too busy for that. Just that, I get sick of them thinking that just because they are famous, they can do everything. In reality, I am sure they are just a front for major corporations to flog stuff to the unknowing.

Cases in point:

JLo. Can't sing, can't dance, can't act, now 'designing' her own label.

Sharon Osborne - oddball wife of a fried brain hasbeen - now she thinks she can promote stuff. GAG.

Her daughter now thinks she can sing and hold a talk show. Saw about 10 ghastly minutes while channel hopping last wkend.

All just flotsam and jetsam polluting the airwaves.

lucy5 · 20/02/2005 17:51

Who knows and who cares, not me.(wink)

lucy5 · 20/02/2005 17:52

or even

velcrobott · 20/02/2005 17:52

Alux - I am no fan of Victoria but she was in the Spice girls a massively successful band and she married one of the world's best and most admired football player.... it's not Jade Goody!!!!

Anyway you didn't say anything nasty!

wheresmyfroggy · 20/02/2005 17:53

But you are taking time out to discuss them here....................................

velcrobott · 20/02/2005 17:54

JLo can sing - maybe not YOUR cup of tea but she has massive hits...
Sharon has managed her husband's career really well....
No big fan of her daughter but if she can get a record deal... why not!

lucy5 · 20/02/2005 17:55

Wayhey my first emotion, i've never noticed the other brackets on the keyboard, how sad am I? Rhetorical by the way, I dont need to know. I'm showing off now.

lucy5 · 20/02/2005 17:57

Touche

alux · 20/02/2005 18:00

Because it is Sunday pm and I go back to work tomorrow and she is just the target that cruised by. I wish I could pay less attention but these days to her, JLo and the likes. But even the beeb will treat it as 'newsworthy' hence my rant. The current target is her in particular but the real issue for me celebrity idolisation in general. It is a pain in the behind. I was listening to Radio Five on the way to work last week and switched it off because they were talking about JLo's perfume and fashion scheme. HUH!!!!!

Thanks velcobutt for saying that I didn't say anything nasty. I try not to be nasty and would be ashamed of myself if I did.

alux · 20/02/2005 18:02

Somebody having a hit or a record contract is not sign of ability IMHO. It is just an estimate of the ghastly state of the music industry.

Steps, Girls Aloud, etc have all had hits but they are just dolled up kareoke.

alexsmum · 20/02/2005 18:26

do you think they have called the baby ' cruz' because he was concieved while on a .

noddyholder · 20/02/2005 20:24

alux you care a lot for someone who doesn't care!!!

marthamoo · 20/02/2005 20:39

Might be Cruz to rhyme with Buzz.

JanH · 20/02/2005 20:40

Cruz to rhyme with Cruise (like Penny-lope and Tom) according to the Beeb news.
