Aloha's met her deadline!

Aloha's daughter arrived at 11.08 this morning, weighing eight pounds.

Not exactly a smooth journey - having postponed her C-section on account of flu, Aloha ended up going to King's anyway last night and then enduring nine hours which, she says, "have fully confirmed all her worst fears about labour". She was finally admitted to the labour ward, given the blessed relief of anaesthetic and, at last, her section.

Babealoha, however (no name yet) is obviously a total delight; apparently she feeds beautifully, looks like a peach, and is absolutely adorable.

I'm sure the proud mummy will be on as soon as she can be - she's certainly dying to get out of hospital!

Report the bitch

Won't hijack this but my heart failed 4 days after DS was born. If I had listened to the MW, DS would have no Mummy, long story.

So please please please (I am now officially begging ) report her, there are so many wonderful midwives out there and a handful of bitches. So stop her, giving them a bad name and another woman a hard time.

Sorry rant over, enjoy your darling DD.

Appalling attitude from that midwife Aloha. I had dreadful back labour type contractions for 10 hours (and that was just early labour). Spent the whole night on the loo and in the bath trying to relieve it. So I know this is absolute agony. She should have offered you some support. Definitely complain. Some midwives should not be doing the job.

Enjoy your darling daughter.

Belated congrats Aloha, she sounds gorgeous. Sorry about your torturous labour, it sounds just like mine with ds1, complete with harridan.
