And she really is a little kitten

Had the home birth I wanted, took 4 hours from start to finish. She weighed 8lb 4oz.

Haven't decided on name yet, need to get to know her a bit better.

She's breastfed but only a couple of times, she spent the rest of the day sleeping. She's so peaceful and so lovely.

Lottie saw her be born. My bestest friend was here with us and with Lottie all the way through, then as I felt the head come they came into the room with us both. Lottie sat on the end of the bed, totally not freaked, she was really happy and really excited and just said 'Look Baby'.

It was so much more painful this time, bigger baby and in less time but boy - that hurt! But we are all so happy, you can imagine, perfectly in time for Xmas and 2 days after Lotties birthday

A really beautiful baby girl to complement our other beautiful girl.

Pics soon.

Big love, big smiles, just general over the mooness!

Wonderful news Thomcat. Congratulations.

I feel all full of love and warmth now!

puffoeufnog · 21/12/2005 17:02

Thomcat, so glad everything is going well .

I adore the names Eve or Evie. If I'd had a girl she would have been Evangeline, with Eve or Evie for short.

hercules · 21/12/2005 17:06

Congratulations!

chipmonksRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 21/12/2005 17:06

LadySherlockofLGJ · 21/12/2005 17:12

Thomcat you moo, you have made me cry.

gggimmesnowsnow · 21/12/2005 18:02

Félicitations Thomcat - well done you!

So glad to hear that all went well and the princess is beautiful. There is something magical about Christmas babies, dd was born last year on the 20th. As I promised, as you have duly coughed up a girl, I will duly cough up naff little french coat (seriously naff, impractical and overpriced, couldn't resist it for dd, now have to pass it on for someone else to struggle with). CAT me your addy.

xx

THOMCATsForLifeNotJustForXmas · 21/12/2005 21:17

Just shared this thread with D and he is chuffed by all you lovely messages.

gggimmesnowsnow - eeeeekkkkk, I do remember you saying about this coat, oh God are you sure? Wow, have to say sounds massively exciting and lovely, blimey well I'll CAT you and we'll go from there.

Glad you all like the name Eve / Evie. Still playing but think it might be a winner, will let you know.

D is going to help me do the photos tonight.

TC xx

Thomcat, how ever did I miss this? Big congratulations to you and what a lovely birth story, marvelous!

InternationalGirl · 27/12/2005 18:05

Well done Thomcat - so pleased for you it all worked out how you had hoped. I had to laugh imagining Lottie with her happy hands watching her baby sister enter the world - what a great experience for her to be able to share with you and what fabulous friends you have to give you a special bonding night with new babe by taking Lottie for a sleepover.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU AND WELCOME LITTLE KITTEN.

99redballoons · 03/01/2006 13:59
