Sounds a fine choice.

I put new roses on the lovely (if fearsome) Mrs Goth's grave weekly. The urchins won't go. They are scared of graveyards.

(she died Nov 06, 3 weeks after her 40th birthday)

....no flowers on her grave, but just behind it a large (Brunel constructed) bank liberally strewn with snowdrops or daffodils dependent on season...

It's her birthday on the 28th. We will go away as it's half term...

I am impressed by your (and your kids) hardiness.
