We've been friends since we were 8 when we met at primary school, we're 33 now. She has been diagnose with Leukaemia 2 months ago, immediately started treatment but has had some complications and became far too sick to continue treatment, she has declined rapidly, so rapidly and yesterday her husband been told it will be just days left.

She has 3 year old twins and a 14 week old. I'm heartbroken for them, her husband, for me, her friends, her family, my family who love her. I barely know a life without her in it. I cannot imagine a world without her in it.

Thank you all for your kindness.

Unfortunately she is far too sick for this, she's barely awake the last 2 days and isn't really very aware of what's going on, it has happened so fast, it's just awful.

She was so excited for the girls first Christmas that they really understood, she already had so much planned and booked for them all, 14 weeks ago she was booking in visits to Santa and Christmas photos the day before she went into labour and now she's dying. I can't actually get my head around it.

Her DH is the most wonderful dad and is being so strong,I don't know how he will get through this, they adore each other.

That is utterly heart-breaking, and I understand your shock.

Her Dh sounds amazing but will likely collapse when he has got through the difficult weeks ahead.

It might help you (and her other friends) to (discreetly) prepare for that with some childcare assistance plans etc - both to distract you and also because he cannot possibly be this strong indefinitely.

@MyMomUsesColorSafeBleach how absolutely devastating. Life is so cruel sometimes. The speed this wicked thing takes people is shocking. My sister was diagnosed and died within weeks.

Sending love to you all ❤️

I am not ashamed to say this thread has bought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry you, your friend and her family are going through this.
I have worked in a hospice and dealt with patients passing but it never, ever gets easier. Thinking of you all x

💐. So very sorry to read about your dear friend.

Never be afraid to talk about her going forward. Remember what she has taught you about life and friendship.

You may well want to plant a tree or bush in your garden in her memory. Be kind to yourself.

She's gone, she had a massive seizure this afternoon and has gone.

I don't understand it, she had a baby 14 weeks ago and now she's dead. even 3 weeks ago she wasn't about to die, she was planning Christmas. Now Her babies don't have a mama
