Hi YG.... good to see you.

If the small things give you happiness then build on that. As you say Nigel wouldn't want you to be taken over by grief.

I think you are doing amazingly well. I'm so glad that you have RL people as well as us cyber folk to talk to and cry with.

I'm sure that your DDs will do well. I'm glad that DD2 is loving school. I'm sure that DD1 will learn other ways to express her grief and that she will cope with the demands of the school day.

You have my love and prayers... continually. I can only echo what I always say.... if I can do anything then call.

Mars

Miaou · 07/09/2006 07:37

Thank you so much for this message YG. You are doing well, incredibly well. I often wonder if I would cope so admirably (and doubt it).

I have no advice to give you but often think of you, as I know many of us do, and hope that this is a comfort.

laneydaye · 07/09/2006 07:50

Medulla · 07/09/2006 07:53

I totally agree with Laney, you are an inspiration. I have never posted either but have read about your sad sad news. You are amazing, those girls are very lucky to have you as a mum. Need to go now as can't see the keys for tears in my eyes!! Enjoy Starbucks!

NomDePlume · 07/09/2006 07:53

Yorkie, you are truly an inspiration.

poptot · 07/09/2006 07:55

YG I only saw that you had lost your husband yesterday and was trying to put the words together to post. I am so sorry but think you are doing amazingly well, you are inspirational and very generous in your understanding of other people's grief. Please make sure you are allowing yourself time and space to grieve and not feel yuo have to be strong all the time. Sending you love and blessings xx

FoghornLeghorn · 07/09/2006 07:56

Yorkie, I am reduced to tears everytime i read one of your posts. You truely are amazing x
So glad to know that things are going relatively well for you and you are managing OK.

throckenholt · 07/09/2006 07:59

I am glad you are all coping so well at the moment.

Give his sister a big hug.

And be kind to yourself when you are feeling down. It will probably hit you at odd times and over odd things.

Hi Yorkie - I was thinking about you this morning. As always, you sound like you're coping brilliantly. Don't forget to allow yourself time to grieve, it's an important part of moving forward. You and your DDs are in my thoughts.

Glad your DD2 is enjoying school - my DD starts on Monday and can't wait. It's lovely to see the excitement on their faces. I hope that your HV gets back to you soon with the counselling info - it will help you all.

Finally, enjoy your morning out with your friend - always think it's so relaxing to have a nice large coffee and chat. Enjoy.

Clary · 07/09/2006 08:08

Yorkiegirl, how lovely to see you at the weekend and see you looking so good and coping so well.
What a lovely post to read this morning. Thinking of you a lot and wishing you pleasure in the small things and the big ones too (well done to DD1 loving school so much).
Claryxx

sarahhal · 07/09/2006 08:31

Thanks for taking the time to let us know how you are doing YG.
I was on holiday when I read about your sad news and as the time ticked down on the internet connection in a crummy french cafe I just couldn't find the words to leave you a message but you were certainly in my thoughts.
I'm so glad you and the girls are doing well - fab that DS2 is enjoying school so much.
Enjoy your coffee ( and a big muffin too I hope)

sarahhal · 07/09/2006 08:31

Oh that G & T second daughter of yours!
DS1 I mean of course.

Chloe55 · 07/09/2006 08:33

I hope I am as strong as you in any situation which comes my way.

Enjoy your day

BudaBabe · 07/09/2006 08:40

Hi YG - thanks for taking the time to let us know how you are doing. I have been thinking of you often and wondering how you are.

Glad your DD1 is enjoying school. It will give her something new to focus on which will hopefully help a little.

Look after yourself. Enjoy the little things. Whatever it takes to help you throught the day.

hugs

however you feel, whenever you feel it .. that's ok and we're here

thinking of you and your beautiful girls

Bozza · 07/09/2006 08:51

I agree with what everyone else has posted. You are doing so well for the girls. I do hope that DD2 can get better in time for her op - although I have to confess that when DS had his second set of grommets (and adenoidectomy) he was incubating chicken pox - unknown to me of course! And glad DD1 is liking school even if she is finding it hard work. Hopefully that will settle down over the next few weeks and the counselling will help.
