He can't seem to make his front teeth meet. He has very prominent canine teeth and when he closes his mouth there is a gap.

People are starting to make comments about it.
I'm going to make a dentist appointment (his first one) tomorrow but I wondered what you thought? He's actually quite excited about his dentist appointment. I've explained to him that the dentist will look inside his mouth and then give him a present (we're going to buy him a toy car and give it to the dentist in advance to hand it to him after the first visit).
I'm wondering if this is my fault for letting him have his dummy for so long. We agreed that he could have a dummy till he was 3 and he's now 3 and 3 months so he has to give it up this year. He's been potty trained for almost a week now and we wanted to give it 6 weeks after potty training was done before we introduced the 'dummy fairy' to him.
We've been trying to potty train for a year but he suffers with febrile fits and every time he has a fit he reverts back to being 'babyish' for at least 5 or 6 weeks and we had to put potty training on the back burner till he'd recovered from the fit. Now that he's gone 4 months without a seizure we tried potty training again and he did it as easily as flicking a switch so he was obviously just ready for it this time.
I wondered what you thought of his teeth please, if they look 'normal' to you or not?
thank you
