DS2 (5) Has left home.

Will we ever see him again?

He packed a tooth brush, and a clean pair of pants in a lunch box size suitcase, (no need to PJ's as he will sleep in his t-shirt and pants, apparently) and phoned granny to come and collect him. (Which she did)

All because DD wanted to sit at his place during luch, then wouldn't let him have the pink cup.

my gran told me that my dad ran away from home with an empty carrier bag when he was young. he came back at dinner time because he was hungry. bless.

dd1 often calls nana to come and recue her. its actively encouraged by me! unfortunatley they usually bring her back the next day

Ds1 wakes up in the morning saying 'can i go to grandmas?' and I say 'don't you want to stay here with me?' 'No, I only want to come back at night'

I ran away from home once (aged about 6), took an empty suitcase and then hid round the corner from the house awaiting my sobbing and heartbroken mum

nobody came!

went back and my mum said "oh hello, nice trip?" and carried on baking

harrumph

Laza that sounds like my DS1 - he asks how many sleeps till I can go to granny's again. I've asked him often if he would like to stay at grannies and he says yes and come back to us for the odd weekend instead of staying with us and having odd weekend at grans

I ran away several times too.

Unfortunately, same as OO, no-one noticed. And I'd sat for ages under a laurel bush in the garden and got rain all down the back of my neck too.

My dh ran away from home at 5.

He didn't get far as he wasn't allowed to cross the road . So he sat on the crub untill teatime .

I think ds would be quite happy with that arrangement as well. He sees my mum every day as it is. I can see him turning up on her doorstep one day 'Gran, I'm moving in for good'

My little sister had a big stomp, and ran away from home when she was 5.

She packed her wellies and a toilet roll - has always been quite practical!

Mum tailed her after a few minutes, and find her pacing up and down the pavement outside our house.

She wasn't allowed to cross over the drives of our next door neighbours, and couldn't quite bring herself to break the rules.

Aw bless

My sister ran away with me when I was 18 months (I could barely talk and walk let alone "run"), she was 4. It was the middle of the night and we were picked up by the police on Bromley high street - imagine how embaressed my parent's were when they answered the door at 3am! And my sister blamed me, at 18 mo's . Thank god it was the late 70's and not now, they would be reported to social services!

The last time I picked him up from Grannys he said,as we pulled out of the drive;
"Granny is better than you, Mum." Thanks.

He was foul all day yesterday, so you can bet they'll be phoning me, before I phone them.
